Sunny41 Don't worry, that Dad will understand in due time!!! Cadence was hitting me with my phone this morning and I told her that hitting me with the phone hurt and wasn't nice. She set the phone down and hit me with her hand instead.

Guise, I'm only on page 2 and I'm supposed to be working, but I NEED to check in! I don't think I will make it to page 7, so I'm commenting now.
@sing2phins I saw your announcement on FB, and I am so happy and excited for you. Congrats on a healthy baby BOY!
JoeLies This sounds like and awesome and exciting opportunity, GOOD Luck to you lady.
Guster Congrats on your new pregnancy! Woo hoo more N13 babies!
kimmycup I have a diamond and sapphire engagement ring. I LOVE it and get complimented on it often. I wouldn't trade it for the world, cheesy or not. FTR I don't think colored stones are cheesy. I was told the sapphire was the original engagement stone in England (Hello Princess Di) and there are many beautiful colored diamonds and other precious stones. Just keep hardness/durability in mind.
shanbp Wait....are you really coming to Chicago? Did I read that right? Because if so, I need ALL THE DEETS so we can plan a GTG!!! Eleventy!!!
For everyone sick and/or having a hard time, you have all my positive vibes. I love you all!!
I had to attend a state of the city address this morning. I think someone should make it a rule that mayors are not allowed to have monotone voices. That was 2 hours of my life that I'll never get back. I also hate having to be all cheery and talkative to the elected officials that sit with us. I see these people at different functions throughout the year and they never remember who we are. Dude, I just ate lunch with you last week.
tgrimes1980 this made me laugh because I totally understand. I do some political work and there are a lot of changes happening in Chicago with the new governor. Not everyone is pleased, so at least I get to hear some juicy rants in with all the policy.
What do you do for a living again? Forgive me if you've mentioned it.
pinkaliphant yes, I love mine. I had it placed about a year ago. My periods have been basically non-existent; I might have one day of light spotting, if that, and only have to use a pad for it. One thing--I did have some pretty heavy cramping about a month in, it lasted a week. My OB said it was normal and recommended Motrin, and that knocked it out.
With that said, all of this talk of POAS is making me super nervous/anxious. We haven't even discussed going for #2...I mean we have, but we'll wait til B is at least 2-2 1/2 before starting to try.
Thanks! With the Paragard I've been having insanely heavy and painful periods. I think the Mirena will be much better! And I'm sure your fine...my ob said that it was actually more effective than getting your tubes tied. (subject to check)
I'm not so much nervous about a 'surprise' (we would actually have to be frisky on a regular basis for that to happen, lol) but just the idea of baby #2 in general. I talk a big game about wanting 3 or 4 kids...but then i pick up my bathroom for the 3rd time today after Hurricane Bradley's latest pass, and I feel like our plans to stop at 2 are juuuust fine.

Little boy with a breathing tube in his nose cough in autumns face, it sounded like a wet cough...I dont know should I ask the mom if he's contagious? Or is that rude?

klongoria11 I really want a helping tower- I almost asked my family for that for her for the holidays but they are a little expensive. Although making one sounds like a pain as well. I think B would love it. Maybe in the future, and definetly if we ever get to remodel out kitchen anytime soon and put in a big center island- I can just picture lots of fun baking and prep on that island!
Does anyone have a "helper tower" in their kitchens for their LOs? I think Cadence would really like one, but I need one that I can fold up when not in use because we have a small kitchen. I may need to just do one of the ikea hacks.
I've been wanting to get the Little Partners tower, but haven't sprung for it yet. The Ikea hack I looked at, but I am so mechanically challenged I am pretty sure it would just wind up in a heap after I throw it against the wall in frustration,

.
I wouldn't ask. I 'd assume mom would say something if he was contagious. He might have CF.
My child is obsessed with my belly button. It is quite embarrassing when he crawls over to me with a big smile on his face and I reach out for him and he...lifts up my shirt to dig in my giant (thank you L) belly button. So much fun.

Finn, it's five o'clock somewhere.
mellochello My husband accidentally taught Doug that if he pokes a belly button we will say woohoo. if we don't he pokes even harder and says "WOO"
