We are supposed to be going to my parents house today to tell them about the sex of the baby. My little niece will help us by spraying silly string. She's going to be so excited because she wanted a girl so bad.

caymarks how awful! I hope you're feeling better, and I hope they send your poor husband home - idiots for making him come in! Make sure he files an OSHA report!

I think when the baby is heavy enough your legs can fall asleep, which would be pretty creepy. I've been laying on my back, too, no blood flow issues to limbs yet.
How "bad" is being on your back? I keep waking up that way even though I start on my side.
I've always heard it's not really a big deal until your uterus is significantly bigger because of the pressure it places on your spinal cord and nerves. I can't remember exactly how far along you are (on mobile so no siggys). Maybe try putting a pillow behind you, so if you roll over, you won't be flat on your back? I'm only 13wks at this point, so I haven't worried too much about it yet.

As your belly grows it gets "more bad" Pregnant women should avoid lying on their back as the baby grows because it puts pressure on your vena cava, lowering your blood pressure and decreasing blood supply to you and the baby.
When you're sleeping, your body will adjust to get you out of that position when it senses it is an issue, but it's always best to try to put yourself in a side sleeping position.

DH and I stayed downtown last night and went to a swanky dinner. We had sex TWICE! Which was probably only the 9th and 10th time we've HAD sex since my BFP and the first double-dip in a single night in as long as I can remember. It was WONDERFUL! Awesome way to celebrate my first night back from my business trip!

I have the worst headache ever right now. I want to sleep the day away but I know I can't. DS slept until 8:30 in our bed, if I had slept during the night it would have been glorious.
I have my first serious pregnancy craving. I NEED subway or Quizno's so badly. Unfortunately subway is 2hrs away and quizno's is 4hrs away so I can't get either today. Good news is we have done so well using up all the leftovers in the house and not letting food go to waste that we have nothing in the house so I'm ordering take out for lunch. Lunch won't be a sub, but I'm getting a greasy bacon cheeseburger and poutine from the restaurant.
We have started cleaning out the nursery SQQUUUUEEAAALLL!! I feel like a little kid opening Christmas presents. It has taken forever and a lot of disappointing stares but we are starting to clean it.. Now WTF do we do with all this stuff we have been "storing" in here. DH doesn't want to part with much since it is his late parents stuff (and I'm not faulting or blaming him at all) but we have no where to put it. 3 bedroom house, no attic, no basement.. 3 bedrooms are being used... crap...

And just for fun, this is the view from our patio door (which we haven't been able to open in months). The fence is 6ft high, the lab can now get over it because of the snow. I hate winter.
caymarks I feel so sorry for you guys! Hope everyone feels better pronto.
I feel like a million bucks. MH let me sleep in until 10, had pancakes waiting for me when I woke up, and now he's outside shoveling snow and playing with DS.

ahemm.. please keep that crap there!!! I don't want it. It is extremely pretty, but that is an insane amount of snow!!
Oh! And Chick Fil A for dinner, which totally hit the spot! We're going back to NC (my home) for a week in March and I am SO EXCITED to have Bojangles again! I actually googled how far away the nearest one was one night at 1am. 704 miles away
Yes!!! I miss Bojangles! They finally built one here near Orlando but it's still like 45 minutes away! Luckily, it's down the street from my birthing center so when we go in for appointments dh gets me something haha.
I miss Cook Out!!!! Checkers just doesn't compare.
Omg, COOK OUT! I miss Cook Out too! That will be another place we will be frequenting while we're back

Yes!! Can you get me the combo? I want a foot-long hot dog cook out style, fries and hushpuppies, make my drink a cheerwine!!
caymarks, hope everyone in your fam feels better soon!!
CALEO, I sleep on my back too. I used to sleep primarily on my right side but since last week I've been having trouble breathing when I'm on my right side. Weird. I though the shortness of breath didn't come until much later. (I'm 17 weeks)
DH comes back tonight from his weeklong business trip and I'm so excited! But I'm glad he didn't come home last night because I violently puked all over the kitchen when I got an unusually strong wif of my dog's food. I was mortified even though my dogs were the only witnesses. I know they won't judge, but still.
Also, I'm super jealous of all of you folks with snow. I miss snow.
I had a really weird experience this morning. I think I need to drink more water because as I was peeing this morning, I got these horrible pains (bladder cramps?) and the next thing I know my husbands walking toward me and I'm sitting on the floor in the bathroom. I passed out! Then I threw up. And now I feel fine. Maybe this should go on the symptoms board, but holy crap! I've never passed out on the toilet before. Husband said he heard a big crash...
Yikes that's scary! I'm glad you were at home when it happened. I have pain and cramps when I go in the morning if Ive been holding it all night or am dehydrated, but never so bad I've passed out! I've never had these cramps before getting pregnant - weird.
Good morning everyone! I just dropped H off at school and picked up a coffee and breakfast sandwich at the farmers market on the way back. Delicious.
tashala107wineandcake I love the snow pictures! We are having a warm spell here and I have mixed feelings about. I like not having to wear a million layers outside but it's so gross and wet and slushy and dirty and icy everywhere. I dread taking the dogs for walk because they are going to get filthy.

I wish we had snow here, I love snow. Also had a delicious caramel frappe and it really hit the spot, that seriously has been a craving for me the last 2 weeks.

Yeah, this never happened to me before. I called the nurse line just in case and she said it was probably the combination of being slightly dehydrated (which caused pain) and low blood pressure. Told me to take it easy today and drink lots of fluids. I'm thinking taking it easy sounds like a great excuse to skip on cleaning the house and crochet and watch movies instead! It was definitely scary though!
All I want to eat is a bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel from the bagel joint downstairs. But I have to eat gluten free so I can't.
So now I'm hungry and sad and indecisive. I may just go get brisket from the BBQ place since I've now debated what to eat for breakfast so long that it's lunchtime.
I was finally able to get on my actual computer and upload a picture for my avatar.
Also, happy to finally have some time off. I worked Sunday-Friday last week, then had to go to a work conference in Florida from Friday-Wednesday, then work again until yesterday. I am beat and am happy to be able to re-coop.
