Good morning/afternoon, ladies!
caymarks, that sounds like a really rough morning, sending good vibes your way!
shawnabm1320, yikes! glad you were at least home when it happened. could you drink a glass of water before bed, which would force you to get up in the middle of the night to pee, then drink another glass then? that at least might help the dehydration part!

can i vent here? i'm going to vent.
So, I rarely check my bank acct, since it's a joint and H always checks it. Well I looked at it today and noticed the same charge(about 20 bucks) i've been seeing roughly every month from iTunes. I asked H about it a couple months ago, and he said he thought it was from me. I said no, and he said "oh, must be bonus son's game subscriptions" (He has education games on the iPad that have recurring charges, like 3 or 4 games). Well I finally said no we need to cancel since he rarely plays with the iPad now that we got him a kindle. I go to cancel, and notice that the subscriptions are not that much and there was only one still active. I immediately think someone stole one of our credit card information, and now we have to cancel cards AGAIN. I tell him to call the bank, and while he's doing that, I look at iTunes purchase history to make sure it's not truly from our account.
IT'S ALL FROM HIM. It's a ton of charges from him playing that stupid fucking clash of clans game. He claims he would never do it, and there's no way that it's all from him. I want to believe him, because he is very responsible, but at the same time he's 30 years old and should be able to notice if he's spending an obscene amount of money on a free game on his damn phone. I began to add up the charges, and it just kept putting fuel on the fire. Since July, it totals 870 dollars. EIGHT HUNDRED SEVENTY DOLLARS. it's just unbelievable. We couldn't afford to go out of town this weekend (just a little getaway we do every so often, since our town sucks and has nothing) yet he's spent 200 this month on that game. I just don't understand.
The bank filed a dispute with Apple, but I don't see it actually going anywhere. I'm mad, and crying, and so so so furious. I've never been mad at him like this. This time it's serious. We could have done our entire nursery with that money. or paid a few months on one of our cars. or paid off our mattress. or so many other fucking things.
He's lucky he works til 8 tonight. I'm debating on if i want to even be awake when he gets home.
ok thanks for reading, i just really needed to get that out.

Yikes, I am sorry you are having to deal with that. I would be super pissed also, that's crazy to spend that much.

WOW. $870 is a LOT to spend on a game. I would be so pissed if DH were to spend that kind of money on something stupid like a smartphone game. I hope he's receptive to the idea of cutting back his spending -or even better, DELETING the game- so that you can have more money available to put toward more important things.
I just don't understand how I didn't notice it for 6 months. I mean, losing ~200 a month is insane. If i see him playing that game, there's a strong chance I'll kill him. I've spent money on iPhone games too, but never would i spend more than 4-5 dollars on it. One day he had 3 separate charges for $21! that's $63 in one day!
anfranklin2 Oh hell no! I'm pissed at him for you. I would be adding it all it up, and printing it out to show him. " Clash of Clans = $800. nursery furniture, decorations, and paint = $ You do the math... no let me just help you, this = upset / mad wife. Wtf" And I would be sleeping and just leave the note where he would see it.
Oh if I didn't have his full name spelled out in the texts I would screenshot them. It's basically all me sending him exactly how much he spent each month and telling him how lucky he is for being at work. We seriously could have bought a crib, dresser with changing table topper, and glider with ottoman for that much! We could have completely furnished our nursery! You best believe I'm going to be watching our bank like a damn hawk now. and questioning every single thing he spends money on.

I've actually heard of a guy spending $1800.00 yes, one THOUSAND eight hundred dollars on the game. All in an effort to keep his city afloat. Good luck to you I'd agree id be livid.

We got out and enjoyed the snow this morning. DD was adorable in her snowsuit -- the first snow this winter serious enough to merit using it! Yay! Now I'm trying to decide between making some progress on my lengthy weekend to-do list or taking a nap. Strongly leaning toward the nap. Still waiting for that second tri energy burst to kick in!!
Nearly 4 figures on a phone app. I wouldn't even know how to react. Livid wouldn't even be where I would start. Wow.
Nothing fun to report here -- went out to lunch, will go out to dinner, too. There's next to nothing to do with the girls this frrreezing winter, given I can't walk long distances anymore (no museum, zoo) and we aren't throwing them back in childcare until flu season has passed -- which would get us back to Sat night church. Prob 4-6 more weeks before we can throw church back into the rotation, but for now, we just eat out alllll weekend....it works, but I wish there was something else to do! Ha.
DS has been throwing up and having diarrhea since early this morning. I feel so bad for him. He seems happy enough otherwise, but he's on outfit #4 for the day already. Poor little thing.

Dude that's insane. DH plays that stupid game occasionally but he doesn't spend a cent on it, it takes him forever to make progress because he waits for the fake money to reload or whatever instead of paying to get it right away.
I would be FUMING. I hope you guys can get the money back and have a come to Jesus talk about being a responsible adult with money!
anfranklin2 that is unbelievable! My husband has a bad habit of spending a lot of money on his games and hobbies, not on the scale of $200/month but still enough to piss me off, because I try really hard not to spend money on things other than necessities, and feel bad if I want to get my hair cut or something because it's so expensive.
I leave most of the banking to him, but I do keep the mint app on my phone to keep up to date with our monthly spending and budgets. Then when I am categorizing different charges, I casually ask him, "oh what's this charge for $20 last week?" He calls it my spyware but I think it keeps him accountable and curbs his spending when I am constantly asking him about random charges.
I hope you guys can work things out. That is a really shitty situation.

All this talk about food is making me hungry! I craving subway so bad and I will probably get that today for dinner. DD is going to grandmas for a few hours when she wakes from her nap and I'm off to the gym and grocery store!
I would possibly kill my husband if it spent that kind of money on a game he plays on his phone. The fact that he is still alive and at work makes you a strong lady!

Omg. I read this and called DH immediately. He plays that same game all the time and there have been charges from iTunes coming out of our account for months. I've been bugging him to check this out and he always puts me off saying he thinks he pry bought an album or something. I literally can't get into iTunes. I have an android and it refuses to let me get in and check so I'd have to do it from his phone. No computer at home right now. I would be absolutely livid! (And will be if it turns out he's been doing the same thing!) Total bs. Sucks so bad, I'm sorry you're dealing with that shit!
anfranklin2: I'm pretty sure my blood pressure rose about 20 degrees just reading your post. I hope you don't kill him and wind up in jail. Then we'd NEVER get to hear from you! But seriously, hope he gets it to together. That's just cray.

I'm so sorry. I'd be pissed. Dh was buying (real money) lotto tickets on his stupid fake Simpsons game but I was so mad. You "win" fake money. And they were only a dollar. We agreed he's not allowed to spend money on app games since it is a source of conflict for us anyways (he checks out). It's been a year and no more issues. But I was so mad to see those charges and it was only $20 bucks or so. I can't even fathom $870.

anfranklin2 I am so sorry. I cannot imagine how mad I would be and how disappointed. Feeling like you can't trust him with money is a terrible feeling.
I had a really weird experience this morning. I think I need to drink more water because as I was peeing this morning, I got these horrible pains (bladder cramps?) and the next thing I know my husbands walking toward me and I'm sitting on the floor in the bathroom. I passed out! Then I threw up. And now I feel fine. Maybe this should go on the symptoms board, but holy crap! I've never passed out on the toilet before. Husband said he heard a big crash...

Has anyone taken diclegis? I went to the doctor yesterday and because I was still feeling nauseous almost all day he prescribed this. But holy smokes it has made me so sleepy! I slept 9 hours last night and have taken two naps so far today which, while awesome, is also extreme. However, I haven't been nauseous and was able to eat breakfast and lunch okay. I was just hoping maybe the drowsiness would get better after I'd been taking it for a day or two. Thoughts?

anfranklin2. I just gave this to my husband to read and he is dying over here. This could easily have been him. Then he looks me straight in the face and says "$19.99 is 2500 gems. It's totally worth it." Oh goodness.
I am having one of the worst days ever. Just the ending I needed to this horrible week.
anfranklin2 - I have caught my husband spending money in games before too, and I can completely understand where you're coming from. He gets so obsessed that he spends money to "be the best", and we don't have much of a disposable income to begin with. And like someone else said, I do my best not to spend any extra money because I feel SO guilty if I do. But I hope it all works out for you guys, that's tough to deal with Sending my love.
anfranklin2 I am so sorry! I am so livid for you. DH would have to do some serious damage control if he pulled something like that. That's a lot of money to waste on something so stupid.

I had to stop taking it because I couldn't stay awake! No nausea- but because I was always asleep! I didn't even feel safe to drive on it. Switched to zofran but then didn't poop for six days so I've been just dealing with the nausea. Hope your body adjusts and you can stay on it- feel better!

I started on Zofran and had the same problem with the poops. I was SO uncomfortable. My doctor switched me to Diclegis bc it's a class A drug, whereas Zofran is class B. It has worked great, AND I can actually poop again It made me very sleepy for about the first week, but then I got used to it and it hasn't been an issue since.
Edited to say: I stopped taking Diclegis for a few days when I hit 14 weeks, and I got nauseous again. Figure I'll wait a few more weeks and try again.
