So I've been griping about LO's 5am wake up and while reading, got the idea to try black out curtains. Don't have any yet, but I just put up some blankets to cover the morning sun last night. LO slept until 7. He still woke up at 5, but then he went right back down. I think the minimal morning light was messing with him. I am off to the store to buy black out curtains ASAP! And I feel so much better after getting some good sleep in last night!

Yesterday was my last day of work which was bittersweet. My coworkers threw me a breakfast to say goodbye. They all had really nice well wishes to me and my boss said I'm welcome there anytime I want as long as he has something to say about it. Some people even had tears in their eyes at the end of the day! I really appreciate being so liked.

When I got home, H had bought me some stuff to 'celebrate' like wine, gardening tools, some plants, a bird feeder. It was really sweet.

Ughh my child went from one wake up for months to 3+ the last two nights. I'm dying..is there some random 5 month growth spurt I don't know about?

osumegs, I did. Which makes me even more sad about leaving! But then I wake up and get to snuggle my little boy and forget about being sad.

Deswaddle night #2 and only 2 wake ups!! Hallelujah! However we did wake up to him and the sheet soaked in pee. Still a win!

I survived the night with a sore mouth and pink eye. Ugh. The baby's eye looks weepy to me but he just woke up so I am crossing everything and praying its just wake up tears. I have kept away from all feedings and baths to avoid giving it to DD o DS.

It's rainy here today and that makes me happy, I will just sit in bed while DH deals with the munchkins.

Ugh that is rough. For us it was because of the rolling; 5 months is when she began to roll on her side and then would wake up when she flopped on her back.

morning everyone! We caught up on some sleep here and feel human again. It was also nice not laying on the couch
I just got my first call from daycare. My heart first jumped up past my throat and then sank to the floor. But luckily they were only asking if it's ok to give him his dummy because they know we're sleep sensing and he apparently wants to be held ALL DAY. Soon as they put him down he loses his shit. Oops :/ Glad I don't have to deal with that today! Mom of the year over here!
toadandbuggie, your coworkers sound AMAZING! Congratulations on being so loved! That must feel (bittersweetly) amazing!!!

Dd sttn. I did not. I was tossing and turning all night and maybe managed 3 hours of sleep. Luckily I don't have to go to work.

DD had a good night last night, up at 2:30 to eat but we were all back and in bed and asleep again by 3:15. I did go back to her room at 4 try to reposition her a little because she was laying face down in her crib. If she rolls on her own and has good head control she should be fine right? DH has me all worried now because he freaked out when he went to wake her up yesterday and she was laying face down.

I'm such a cranky butt today. So tired. I didn't even stay up terribly late so I have no idea.

But H was supposed to get home at midnight last night. He texted me at 8:30 saying they finished early. Yay! It was awesome going to bed with my husband. It doesn't feel like it's very often lately.

dmorgendorffer yes, it is okay for them to sleep on their stomachs if they got there themselves. The strength to roll over and to hold their heads up is the important part. There's no real changing it unless you hover and roll them back all night, so the best thing to do is not worry. It took me a little while to stop the worry, but now I look forward to DD rolling over; she sleeps longer if her naps are on her belly.

mrsclark731 I saw Trainwreck last night. I felt the way I feel about Amy Schumer's show: I definitely laughed some, and I enjoyed my evening, but I didn't love it. Some women in front of me cheered at the end though, so clearly opinions differ!

Remarkably, Lebron James is great in it. Most of my favorite scenes were with him.

My mom and her BF were in town for the past week, so I've been less active here. Missed you all! No big news. I have tons of housework to attend to. And some work work. Right now though, I'm going to try for a little more sleep (just finished DD's early morning feed).

Ever since DD could roll over, she has slept flat on her face. Now it's just easier to lay her down that way (21 months).

DS was up every hour and half after 1:30 last night. I didn't fall asleep until 12:30. It made for a very long night and a very cranky momma this morning. I think we are hitting the 6 month growth spurt a couple weeks early or something because he would not be soothed without the boob. Usually if he wakes up less than 2 hours after he eats, I can just go pick him up and sway a little and he's out again. Not last night. You can find me on the couch today.

Happy Friday ladies. DD slept almost through the night she went down at 7 and woke up at 1 & 4 to eat and went back to sleep after those wake ups and was up at 6:30 for good. I slept ok. I kept checking on her. I forgot what her sleeping longer that 3/4 hours felt like. Going shopping again today for more kids clothes. I feel like I never buy myself anything anymore thought.
