I ended up spoon feeding DD 2 oz of the motts for tots apple juice tonight instead of purees. Took soooo long, but I think I got about 3 oz total of water and juice in her today, so let's hope that does something!
Thank you all for putting up with my constipation dialogue for the week. It's pretty much taken over my entire days right now since it makes her too cranky to do much outside of the house. It's gotta end eventually, right?
Trying a cauliflower and apple recipe for dinner tonight. hopefully she likes it. We are also going to try an eggplant recipe this week too. Time to introduce new food
Recipe links? Those sound good (for me, and for LO!)
K- it didn't go so well with just the apple and cauliflower. I ended up having to mix in pears too before she'd eat it. So one pear, two apples and some cauliflower. I steamed it all and then did a chunky blend.
So yesterday I put 4 boneless chicken thighs, carrots, potatoes, celery and some water in the crockpot on high for four hours. Then I shredded the chicken with two forks. DS loved it! It was so easy and the chicken was so soft I didn't worry about choking.
I was surprised how flavorful it was without salt or seasoning. I put some chicken aside for tonight and tomorrow and DH and I ate the rest!

Great idea! I've been wanting to make homemade chicken noodle soup so maybe I could use some of the chicken for that.
I had another huge hit at our house using the family cook book "Fresh Start"
We made salmon with green pea risotto for us and dd and everyone loved and we ate all the left overs! We just shredded the salmon and mixed it in with the risotto and DD was able to eat it by herself (the risotto sicks together and easy for her to pick up)

We tried Cantaloupe last night and LO loved it! I gave her little pieces at first and then her and daddy shared his piece and it was so sweet I tried to give her a chunk but she kept trying to eat the rind and getting frustrated so will keep at that.

C loves yogurt so I was thinking about expanding her dairy menu. I was thinking of letting her try cottage cheese. Has anybody done cottage cheese yet?

Yes. DD is obsessed. Can't get enough of the cottage cheese.

I do a variety. I like to put it on strips of toast or sometimes I just plop it on her tray and let her go to town. She loves it on a spoon too but I simply hold the spoon out and she grabs it and feeds herself.
I hand Aviv a loaded spoon, she knows what to do with it but the execution leaves a lot to be desired.
I made some spinach and cheese bites that she really liked.
10oz of frozen chopped spinach thawed and moisture squeezed out (I actually didn't have this, I just had a big frozen bag of chopped spinach and kale, I used a little over two cups still frozen) 2 cups of shredded cheese, I used a mexican blend 4 eggs I added a little italian seasoning
mix it all together and put it in a baking dish evened out and cook for 30 min at 350 or until it starts to brown on top. Let cool then cut into cubes or sticks.
That makes a lot and my toddler didn't like it so I plan to halve it next time. Was great to have in the frig for quick meals throughout the week.
I get trader joes plain whole milk greek yogurt. Sometimes I get the non greek. If I don't get to trader joes I get Nancy's organic whole milk plain.
She likes it plain or I add some apple sauce or mashed up berries to it. I don't like buying flavored because it's hard to find it without added sugar.
