So last night was terrible and now I'm really nervous about this trip. We will only be two hours away so I can come home if need be. We are staying with a bunch of people so I don't want to keep them awake with a crying child.
He is teething and I really hope this tooth pops through! I gave him tylenol before bed because he was obviously uncomfortable. 6 hours later he woke up to eat and I put him back down. One hour after that he wakes up crying non stop for close to a half hour. I finally tried tylenol again and within ten minutes he was back to sleep.
jjh1119 that sounds rough poor lo (and poor mommy) I hope his sleep improves and you have a great trip!
I'm enjoying a nice morning with my lo after a crazy week. I will have to do some catch up work today but the majority of the day will be spent with my little guy and I am so happy.
We have no exciting plans this weekend and it sounds nice just to relax and catch up on home things.
My H is off today as well so it will be a nice 3 day weekend for all of us.
I had a meeting with my boss yesterday and he wants to give me some more responsibility on my current project (its a promotion but I've already been doing most of the job) but in order for him to do that I have to agree to go into our office 2 days a week (that isn't bad except its a 1.5 hour commute each way) I normally only go in once every other week so it will be a big adjustment but we are going to try it. I'm nervous because it means more time away from my little guy but it will be really good for my career. Being a working mom is so much harder than I ever thought it would be.
jjh1119 I hope Liam's tooth pops out soon so you can get some sleep.
spikesmom Enjoy the three day weekend with your family.
LO decided 4:30am was a good time to wake up. I was hoping she could fall back asleep without intervention. Ha.ha.ha. MH got up with me and we changed her diaper and gave her a bottle. She only took 3 out of 5 oz. Eventually she fell back asleep in the PNP. I have no idea what that was about.
Come onnnn Liam's tooth!! Get here soon so baby and mama can have some relief! Congratulations on the promotion spikesmom! Yes, being a working mom is hard. I hate that my commute is so long, and it's only 45 minutes! Doesn't it feel like wasted time away from baby?
I've dilly-dallied my morning away. I've got to get some stuff done before I leave! I have my family coming to visit tonight and I have to get home and tidy up from this whirlwind of a week. I'm glad it's Friday!!
zengal I have a 45-60 minute commute on public transit in my city. It's a serious waste of time away from kiddo and home. I'm always surprised at how my work hours go up when I work from home. Although WFH is lousy of I need input from my colleagues.

jjh1119- Poor Liam! Tylenol is a godsend, also frozen fruit in a fruit feeder. spikesmom - enjoy your snuggles!! That is a long commute. I used to have an hour long commute to my store and at first it wasn't bad until winter when the storms hit. gldnbearz - Isaac has been doing this recently too. He just wakes up crying, eat and change then right back out. zengal- I am also glad it is Friday :-) I am also the master of dilly dalling days away.

jjh1119 - I'm so sorry you had a rough night. Poor Liam! spikesmom - Being a working mommy is no joke! I work from home and I miss my LO when he's next door or even downstairs. Plus 40 hours a week is a joke when you work from home. So I am constantly having to juggle more emails after my work day is supposedly over. zengal- I hated commuting when I used to go into an office. I told DH if I had to go back to work that involved a commute I wouldn't do it. Its so hard. Good luck with tidying your house. songbirdsinging55 - Good luck today!! I think the fact that you are feeling sick is a good sign. Not sure about you but with my losses I never "felt" pregnant. So when I got pg with LO and I started puking I was thrilled because I'd never had any symptoms. Hopefully that is the same for you. Good luck today!!
We have a busy weekend ahead. Tomorrow is the wedding and my SIL invited us to spend the night at their house afterwards (its her brothers wedding and I thought they'd be hosting a bunch of her family). So I need to clean the house (because I hate coming home to a messy house) and get us all packed up for the weekend away. Should be fun.
Also our anniversary date night was great. We went to one of our favorite Italian restaurants and ordered everything from a bottle of wine to appetizers to dessert and cappuccino's. It was so fun! LO didn't do as great at my brother and SIL's but he was asleep when we picked him up and he slept pretty much through the night. He next to never sleeps more than a 3 hour stretch in a night. Kid was exhausted.
One hour into driving and he has been screaming the whole time :/(. I'm back here with him and he is finally asleep
Oh man. that sounds rough. Margarita's for you when you arrive, motrin for him. (I find motrin helps the teeth pain a little more than tylenol for our LO)
STTN pretty much!? That's awesome ninergirl52! And what a wonderful dinner you had- Sorry about the car screaming jjh1119. That's no way to start the weekend!

zengal - I'm pretty sure it was a complete fluke ... or maybe I slept through the night, and DH got up with him ... but I gauged the whole thing by my extremely full boobs this morning. Wonder if he'll get crazy and make a habit out of it.
jjh1119 - Ugh!! Good luck with the drive. I'm with pixie523 on the motrin. We found it to work better than Tylenol as well and our Pediatrician actually recommended it over Tylenol. Good Luck!!
songbirdsinging55 good luck with your ultrasound! We always say at work that being sick is a sign that you have enough of the pregnancy hormones to have a viable pregnancy ! jjh1119 I second whoever suggested motrin for the teething, in my experience Tylenol barley seemed to work and the motrin lasts longer. Teething is the worst ever! Hope things get better spikesmom enjoy the baby snuggles today and this weekend!

Our poor teething babies! I just keep thinking of those "reports" that were posted here and on the Facebook group about how teething isn't really as bad as parents say. - Does anyone remember reading those? - Now I just want to yell Bullshit! How do they determine that it isn't bad? Do they ask the baby? Does anyone else's LO seem to suffer more in the evening than in morning and early afternoon?
So this ride isn't two hours is closer to 4 with traffic. He has had small little cat naps and no w he is sick of being in the car :-(. I have to drive alone on the way back sunday. I'm nervous

jjh1119- I hope he gives you a break on Sunday so you have a smooth ride home. Does he like music? Sometimes when Isaac is fussing in the car, we play some of his favorite songs or I sing some silly kids song out loud lol
