We busted out the teethers. E is going to town on them, he barely used them before. I hope these canines come down the rest of the way soon. It's been just the points for over a week.
Canines took forever for us too, plus they're the ones Gia spiked a high fever with. They're the most miserable ones! Good luck!
megaroo64 welcome to the traveling H working mom gig..... I'm kind of a pro at this so lean on me babe! We can do it together!
You rock. I'm 5 hours in and so far I've got two sleeping kids, all the stuff packed for the sitter and I packed lunches and my work bag is in my car and my alarm is set for the morning. So-- it's going ok right?
Spoiler alert: the congregation gets upset when the married pastor sleeps with a bunch of married women in the congregation.
My Lutheran pastor in the 80s did the same thing!
He gave a big hint that something was hugely amiss when in one of his last sermons he said that when he puts on his robes he sometimes feels like he was putting on the robes to open the ark in Raiders of the Last Ark (in that he wasn't legitimate and it was an empty ceremony, not that he was a Nazi).

Better than me! I'm still folding clothes! MH doesn't leave til tomorrow morning though.
I was baptized Lutheran and attended sporadically but haven't found a good fit since the pastor I loved was defrocked over a big scandal .

Woah! I might have stayed for the drama. Prolly not though. I have found UU to be very location dependent in their tone. Around here and in DCwhere we went it was a very traditional church and service. When DH lived in Montana though he tried to find a UU congregation and it was like a bunch of hippies in a drum circle. The lack of dogma and open mindedness can be a drawback in certain places that it's not well established. Around here it was like the first congregation so it feels different than places that are still trying to find their voice if that makes sense... I'm guessing you may have a more "new age" one near you? Based on history of the area?

It does seem a little new age, this is from their website:
'We gather on Sunday mornings, not to kneel and pray, but to sit and consider the experiences and opinions we wish to share with each other. Our worship is thoughtful examination of the worthiness of ideas and phenomena and our human interconnectedness and responsibilities to all around us. Our hymnals contain music and readings from many religions and cultural traditions."
Mark the calendar. Today was the first day of O's life she didn't take a nap. Granted she slept till 10 this morning, but still so weird.
I can only think of two days ever that M hasn't taken a nap. One was a nightmare come bedtime when she woke up with a night terror. That was almost a year ago though.
One was last weekend. And she did surprisingly well. I was very impressed.
But I have no intentions of letting her skip naps on a regular basis LOL

Oh, today was an anomaly. H thinks it means she can go without nap on the regular. I know better.

Re: no naps. Yesterday we had a no nap day and A was surprisingly awesome. I figured after the pool party she'd take a late afternoon nap but nope. I thought surely she'd be a mess by 8. She was the happiest little toddler running around chasing around the IL's puppies. We had to make her go to bed at 9:30 and she was fighting to go to sleep. Very rare for her to not nap and I have no intentions of taking away that nap....nope nope nope
So we took Travis to the hospital. He ended up throwing up and has a slight fever.
They are giving him zofan for the nausea. And want samples of his pee and poop. Have to get bloodwork and an ultrasound on Tuesday. They don't seem to worried about it.

J's are just below the surface. He is sucking on four fingers and slobbering. At times saying my teeth hurt mommy. I love the fact that he can communicate this.
If you guys have any t&p or good vibes can you send them to Michigan. My bff is due Aug 21 with baby boy 2 and he is currently footling breech. She was set to do a home birth but unless he turns they are doing a c section 8/14 to avoid her going into labor and possibly having her water break. She's doing all the things to turn him but he won't budge. She's ok with the c section if that's necessary but she wants a home birth ultimately. She was saying she had BH yesterday and today. Hoping it's not real labor yet!
