LO decided this weekend was a good one for a bottle strike. I pumped more than she drank and I don't get much. We tried water in a sippy cup and she treated it the same as the bottle by pushing it away or grabbing it by the spout/nipple and playing with it.
She's eating solids fine. I managed to blend up some cantaloupe for her and she ate that. Let this be teething since she's chewing on her fingers and on the bottle nipple. I felt around her gums, only to have her chomp on me with her existing lower two incisors.
This morning I called a derm for LO's non stop belly rash, and was transferred 4 times, right back to the woman I started with. Grrrr. At least we were able to get an appointment for her on Wednesday, instead of weeks out like they had quoted me. Hope everyones Monday goes super quick.

Hellooooo ladies!! Been a little on the crazy side the past few weeks, this summer has been busy with shuffling the kids around, DH and I alternating vacation and WFH days to be home when my parents are gone and all. I feel like I haven't been on here at all and SOO much has gone on. I hope everyone is well, all the babies are doing poops again and all the wines and sleeps have been had.
Here comes a long one!!!
LO-my little mousie turned 9mo on Saturday. His appointment isn't for another 2 weeks so I'm wondering what his stats are. He's got 2 teeth so far, eating ALL the things and is starting to refuse purees in favor of real food. Still taking about 32oz formula a day too. He's still army crawling but is up on his knees more. He is also pulling himself up on everything and cruising along my couches. No solid words yet but he's got the "D", "B" and "G" sounds down.....so we hear a lot of dadada and bababa and ggggggghhh. He knows "give that to mama". We play peek-a-boo....he has the most infectious laugh when he thinks something is funny. We also taught him to do "funny face" and he scrunches up his nose, tilts his head and has a giant smile. It's the cutest thing ever, I cant believe how much this kid makes my heart just melt.
SS-He's a great big brother and loves to play with LO. He's going to be a protective one. We're all a little sad at home right now, SS is gone for the week to visit his mother. DH and I aren't so happy about him being away but this is where the chips fell when my parents said they wanted a break over the summer. We have him full time, his mother lives a good 5 hour drive away from us. His mother is just kind of irresponsible and has to be told every little thing to do in regards to taking care of him. He's 12, so we're good with him knowing the diff between right a and wrong and remembering most things to do to take care of himself, but he is also high functioning special needs and she never really takes it into consideration. Like, she almost forgets because she's on what we like to call "happy fun time". I just can't wait till he's back on Saturday.
Me and DH- Need to thank you guys for the FX and well wishes over the past few months....I know I've been a little bit of a nagging complainger about the commute I have but it's all starting to pay off now....DH GOT THE JOB!! We're so excited that everything is beginning to fall into place. There are a lot of options for where we can go from here but moving into this new position for him will seriously be advancing his career and put him into a role that he is so excited to take on. It is going to require some travel which is going to be hard for a bit but it's also going to allow for me to evetually leave where I am now for something part time and local. Can I just say....PHEW!!!! I'm so relieved that this is happening after over a year. It's been a really rough road, taken its toll on our marraige and our stress levels. It's like a giant weight has been lifted and it feels good!!
Wishing you guys a beautiful day.....hopefully I can keep up with you all, seems like a slow day for me so far.

gldnbearz - bottle strikes are frustrating. Lol with the biting, I always getting bitten too. pixie523-glad that you were able to get an appt. I hope LO'S rash heals up quick.
Hello everyone! I've been MIA lately because we were on another road trip! We got back on Saturday and are now scrambling to get everything done before moving in a few days. I will be relieved when this week is over! But then again not really because that means DH will be gone for basic training.

My milk supply has picked up since taking prenatals again and Isaac is going through a growth spurt. He was nursing every fee hours. He wouldn't take a bottle. I was chugging water all weekend. I brought leftover pasta and cereal for options at lunch. I don't want either. I wanted a bagel with crazy cheese because I am breathing fire lol.
Oh my yayayayay littleapplemom Congratulations on YH getting the job!! Relish the commute time while you still can nerdalert I hope the packing goes well, and that's sweet that you will miss YH. I wish mine had a business trip or training or something every once in awhile.
I feel you zengal, about the H travel. When H doesn't travel for a few months I get a little.. antsy. I need to eat shitty food and watch shitty tv and you get out of my face for a bit. Let me miss you. I will say, if he travels too much I'm also irritated. Grass, greener, yada yada. I've also felt since LO's arrival we're together ALL FUCKING WEEKEND and by Sunday evening I'm so sick of looking at his face, and I really love his face.

littleapplemom, YAY!!! Congratulations to you and your H! What a relief!!!! gldnbearz, when ds got his bottom teeth he went on a bottle strike... so hopefully that is what is going on. nerdalert, Thinking of you this week and next... I hope everything goes smoothly. pixie523, Glad you got an appt for this week. Waiting is the worst!
So I've been dealing with a bit of insomnia. Not like a super serious case but I am waking up at 1 every night and can't fall asleep again till sometimes after 3:30. Levi is finally sttn so why can't I! This has been happening consistently for 2-3 weeks now. It's SO irritating! Anyone else having trouble with this? I am guessing I have just gotten used to waking up at night and now I have to retrain my body to sleep (what??).

gldnbearz - Ugh to the bottle strike!! That sucks!! pixie523 - OMG I may have gone crazy had I been transferred that many times. Hopefully they are able to figure out what LO's rash is. littleapplemom - YAY!! So thrilled for you that your DH got that job! That's awesome!!! Sorry you're having to deal with SS being away. Hopefully its an uneventful week for him and he can get back home to his routine with his family soon! nerdalert - Oh man, where is your DH going to basic? Anywhere remotely close to home? songbirdsinging55 - What is this crazy cheese you speak of? pixie523 & zengal - Ha ha .. on the husbands being gone. I do enjoy all the foods DH doesn't like when he's gone. Bring on the pasta ... he likes it we just don't eat it ... EVER!
We had an exciting weekend with the wedding. LO was great and such a good boy. It was an outdoor wedding and decorated beautifully. The bride told me afterwards she was nervous about what I thought about it, since I'm a wedding coordinator. I thought it was great.
This week my neighbor is out of town so I'm going to pick up my 13 year old niece (who is super responsible) and she is staying with us to watch LO the next 3 days while I work (from home). I'll be upstairs in my office and will be able to help her out when need be. She is so excited as this will be her first time babysitting a baby. So she's thrilled for the experience. She watched him a lot on Saturday at the wedding so we got to watch her in action. Plus LO just LOVES her. It's a win win. She lives an hour and a half away so she'll stay with us this week.

littleapplemom - woooo hoooo! So happy about your good news!
It's rainy and chilly here today, which I love, but M is missing his outdoor time. I'm trying to soak in all my baby time before I resume a normal schedule and LO goes to daycare. We have three weeks left, and I'm determined to be mindful of every day.

I'm super annoyed that an activity I wanted to use during the first week of school didn't save on my TPT wish list and I didn't pin it. I'm finding similar items but they aren't as great as the one I'm looking for.
ninergirl52 I don't want to say which base he's at, but it's not close to home AT ALL. Like a 19 hour drive. It doesn't really make a difference though as far as distance because he can't leave during training anyway, and we can only communicate through letters. But on the plus side, it's in a state I've never been to, so it will be fun to travel there for graduation. And LO and I will get to spend a lot of time with my family since we'll be living with them.
singingmama10 Sorry about the insomnia... I woke up last night around 3:50 because LO almost always has woken up by then. So I freaked out and went to check on her. Then I laid back down and couldn't go back to sleep, but she ended up waking up around 4:15 so it worked out. My body is definitely not used to sleeping for a whole night, or even close to it!
I have so much work to do but zero focus! I need to find my rhythm and get some tasks knocked out before the work day is over. All I really want to do is binge watch Netflix and eat junk food. I really crave a day like that - I have been so busy the past several weekends and will be for the next several. It's mostly fun stuff, but tiring at the same time.
DH is traveling for work this week, so I am on my own with LO. He travels about 4 times/year - this is his 3rd time since LO was born so I am not too worried. It always makes me realize how helpful DH is.
Hey ladies! Lo is finally down for a (hopefully) decent nap and I'm trying to decide if I should take a shower or just chill and watch some tv. She finally pooped today, thank goodness. It had been 7 days! singingmama10 sucks about the insomnia...I have had a bit of this, just not being able to fall back to sleep after getting up with lo, but we get up sometimes 4 times a night so I feel constantly sleep deprived! nerdalert glad you will be able to spend some time with your family, I'm sure it's hard to be without your H! gldnbearz hope the bottle strike ends soon for you guys, that is stressful# pixie523 not ok to be transferred that many times, I always feel bad when that happens to patients at work. Hope you get your lo's rash figured out! littleapplemom yay for your H, that is awesome!!! songbirdsinging55 that's great your supply is back up, I was wondering if you were still nursing ninergirl52 that's awesome you have your niece to watch lo, hope you guys have a good day!

littleapplemom, YAYAYAYAY for the job!!! It was a year ago right about now when MH was getting his first interview for the job he's at now. I am sooooo happy for you!!
On missing H... it was good for us for me to be gone for a week. We missed each other and being back together has been special again. I should take a trip once or twice a year, I think.
I'm cleaning out our nursery and starting to crib shop. I know, I know, you all were doing this a year ago... but M has been in our room and our spare room has been a storage room. But, he's crawling out of his cosleeper and so we need to make the dreaded transition.

nerdalert - So sorry for asking where he was going to basic. I TOTALLY get your not wanting to say where. I think I was thinking more in terms of where in relation to how far from home. That stinks that its so far and you won't get to see him.

spiraltheory I got out May 21. We are balanced and get a week long fall break in October, 2 weeks for Christmas and 1 week for spring. DH had to report back today. He is in the public schools so he gets 2 weeks for fall break and 2 weeks for spring break. We have a long break in between each quarter.
My Mondays are always so busy. I don't mean to ignore your needs pixie523! I managed to get the house clean like right after everyone left this weekend so I don't need the cleaning fairy, but I sure would like it if a chef dropped off some food so I don't have to cook, or if someone good-natured was at home in place of my crabby H. I think he needs a new job or something. I was trying to think of a name of someone hot and famous, but I don't care if the person is sexy or anything, because who cares about that these days. I just want someone to smile and laugh with besides my 8-month-old. And that concludes Deep Thoughts, by zengal.
It's been a busy Monday, I read along as you can see by my millions of love tits
I also have touch of insomnia, I don't like when my H travels but I also get sick of him if it's been too long ;-). Speaking of, he is leaving tomorrow for the rest of the week lol.
Also WHAT THE EFF TEETH! So after awful awful teething symptoms Friday and a bit of Saturday he has been fine yesterday and today. The swelling is still there but almost like the teeth budge a smidgen and when it happens it's painful but then it stops for a bit then they move again until hopefully one day they freaking CUT THROUGH
