What were your first signs of labor? Particularly if it wasn't contractions/water breaking. I keep having the feeling that I'm not going to go to 40 weeks, so I'm just curious because I've become hyper aware of every little twinge and pain.
With P I had contractions and lightning crotch on and off for what felt like weeks. I knew it was the real deal when I had chills accompanying the contractions.
Mine started as lower back pain and then really bad back pain then contractions. I lost my mucus plug about 4 days before. I'm paranoid now that I'm leaking fluid but I don't know. How do you know? Is it a big deal to wait and see how it is tomorrow?

So I always was told if it soaks a pad in an hour and also if it happens when you at laying down it could be. When you are standing sometimes The baby acts like a plug. But I would definitely go in if you think you are. Chances of infection can increase if you truly are!
My water broke with elise with no contractions so no help there. Then with Vera there wasn't much of a sign, my contractions started at 2am and then kept on 7min apart until I called L&D at 6am- and they told me to head on in

I would call the Dr if you think your leaking fluid, but that's just me. My water broke with DD and they had me to to L&D to be checked out. Once they tested the fluid, I was as admitted since there is a risk of infection. I was also going through at least 2 "big" pads an hour!

It's not nearly enough for a pad an hour and feels like it is coming from my pee hole. Is it sad that I'm having trouble telling? Maybe baby has shifted and Is pressing on my bladder more. I'm lying down now to see if it keeps happening.

With Aubrey I had diarrhea the day before. I felt like my system was trying to clean itself out. I'm also unsure if this was related but about 5 days before I had a crazy stomach flu like episode in the middle of the night. I called the doctor and they thought it could just be a virus but I still feel like it was possibly an early sign. After the vomiting ended I basically laid in bed and slept for like 12 hours which is not like me even when sick.

I basically dribbled pee the entire second half of my last pregnancy. Sounds like pee to me.

I never went into labor with Dagny so I'm super nervous about this. I have a feeling I'll go early but I've been having a lot of intense Braxton hicks, pressure & cramping down low, etc. but I don't know what true contractions feel like so I'm terrified I won't realize when I'm in labor!

When my water broke with Benjamin, it was obvious! When my water broke with Abigail, I didn't even know if it had because it didn't gush out but more trickled out a bit and then nothing, then trickled a bit more, than nothing... So could be that you're leaking!

Sadie's was waves of pressure. It wasn't painful like I thought contractions would be, I just remember going to sit on the toilet a lot because that felt more comfortable somehow. With Luke it was nausea and diarrhea. Then my water broke about 3 hours later.

The same exact thing happened to me with both kids. With Henry it was obvious and with Cece I didn't even know I was leaking fluid until they checked me when I finally went into the hospital.
Sorry to hijack your thread sarasansh but I'm going into labor. The same as last time, low back pain now every 8-10 minutes and also bloody mucus. Looks like I will have a 7-11 and 8-12 baby. I'm nervous but ready, wish me luck.
So I'll play devils advocate and say that I had all the "signs" - poop issues, Braxton hicks, nausea, mucus plug, etc etc, with both...for weeks before I actually had them. I (and my doctor) was "sure" I would go early with Ingrid because I was having all the signs. Nope, 6 days late. And then with Eli my doctor said "I just don't see any way you'll make it to 40 weeks." Nope, 7 days late. Just sayin...these kids like to f*ck with you right from the start.
With Eli I was induced, but with Ingrid my labor started about 9 in the evening - no warning signs that day leading up to it, I just started having contractions and I just knew they were the real thing. That's the only way I can describe it - I just knew they were real. I went to bed that night with contractions about 20 min apart (so I slept in 20 min increments all night) and then went in to get checked the next morning, admitted around 1 that afternoon, baby at 10pm.
With Kayleigh I was induced but with Andrew I didn't notice anything until about 8am. I had been losing little pieces of my mucus plug for about a week before hand. That morning I had the tiniest ting of pink when I wiped. Contractions started around 8am but weren't really bad at all. I didn't really think of it at all since I had braxton kicks so much with both pregnancies in the third tri. Only when I decided I should time them did I start to realize this might be the real deal.
sarasansh, honestly I didn't have any signs of labor with Riley until the contractions started. She was 9 days late and everything seemed to happen at once. Nothing was going on and then suddenly EVERYTHING was going on. My contractions were really painful right away and about 4-5 minutes apart. Bloody show and diarrhea came right after that. I had about 1 hour of laboring from home before we headed to the hospital.
