Its my Birthday! Took the day off and LO and I are headed to meet up with my sister, her 2 year old and hubby in a bit. They are up from DC visiting her inlaws about 2 hours away, so we are meeting in the middle. We don't get to hang out nearly enough, especially now we both have lo's, so should be fun! We were going to go to a park, but looks like the weather isn't great, so possibly trying out an indoor playground type thing. Her LO is 2 year old crazy and needs to be able to run around.

I managed to get out for a run before H left this morning which meant I didn't have to push a stroller. Made me feel like I was flying. It was sad not having my doggies with me, Aspen may be limping but she still doesn't understand why she was left silly girl.


Then I come home and am walking around the house post shower in a bra and shorts because I am hot and DD spits up on my only clean bra. So sleeping tank and laundry here we go! Lol.

I have a question/vent/TMI: who here post vaginal delivery is still struggling with bladder control? I seriously pee myself every time I sneeze/cough/laugh/move too quickly. Is this typical?

boxerrrmama85 there is no way I would be able to fit in exercise if I worked outside the home. YOU are the Rockstar my friend.

And as far as your question goes I do occasionally but not as often anymore; do you do kegels? They really so help with this issue.

boxerrrmama85 I don't pee when I cough/sneeze, but my issue is that I'll go from not having to pee at all, to "OMG I HAVE TO PEE RIGHT NOW" and I literally have to run to the bathroom or I will pee my pants.

Family pictures went great last night!! It was a little dark because of the storm clouds, but no rain, so we were able to do some outdoor shots. DD was her usual smiley self. DS I was worried wouldn't smile because he's usually pretty reserved and shy around new people - but he did GREAT! We did a ton of different shots indoor and outdoor, and we were done in less than 45 minutes! I can't wait for the sneak peek

Not much spam for me today. Just laundry and cleaning the kitchen. We're going to DH's grandmothers house for supper tonight and I can't wait. She fixing steak and gravy and it's seriously the best I've ever had. Yum! I think living in the south and having multiple meals a week that are fried and delicious may be why I still have a little extra weight around the middle lol.

DD had another bad night. I think I saw ever hour on the clock, except for 5am, and the alarm goes off at 6 so I only missed that one by a minute. I think maybe giving her solids around the same time we eat dinner might be too close to her bed time, it seems like she has an upset tummy.

Back physically in the office today for the first time since last Wednesday and trying not to be a zombie. Lots of coffee. Today I get to tell my team that as part of the company being bought there are going to be a lot of layoffs, so all in all its shaping up to be a great day.

I got enough sleep last night but I think I woke up in the wrong point in my sleep cycle because in dragging.

aggiebug I know what you mean- when I'm able to get a run when DH is home, I feel so fast (although still way slower than pre pregnancy, haha). It makes you realize what good exercise the jogging stroller is- it really is significantly more difficult!
boxerrrmama85 I don't feel like I really leak anymore, but I either don't have to pee or it feels like an emergency.

aggiebug I feel extremely awkward jogging with a stroller. I think the people that see me jog are probably thinking that I'm learning how to run at the same time.

boxerrrmama85 ugh, that's not fun at all. I'm not having any of those issues but, I'm having a hell of a time enjoying sex. The next morning it feels like I ran a marathon, super achy joints and pain.

michelle142 yes, I think we suffer from the same thing. Not sure if it is because I am preoccupied and don't think about going to the bathroom until it's almost too late or not. That's great that your family photos went well.

@holachica oh man, once those teeth break thru, it definitely makes a difference. DS is still a little cranky but, not near as bad. Sending quick teeth cutting vibes to your DS!

Ugh. Right when I went to bed last night, I got the most painful stomach cramps and had to run to the bathroom. Sorry TMI. I finally felt better and went to sleep but, now my stomach is all gurgely now. Gotta play the waiting game before I even attempt to go to the office.

I'm procrastinating for another 5 minutes then I have to do work. Working from home is tough, I have a pile of time sensitive stuff stacking up.

My last bit of spam: an old friend of mine is a reality TV camera man. He is always posting all kinds of cool stuff on FB and yesterday he arrived in Alaska. He is shooting one of my favorite shows, Alaska the Last Frontier. I nerded out last night talking to him on FB after the 3am feeding.

I woke up to DD1 singing "Happy Birthday To You" at the top of her lungs (maybe it was for you flyster). I can't believe her next door neighbor (DD2) slept through that. She's good!!

We are on vacation with my in laws this week. So far everything is going ok, the weather feels like fall, the air mattress in the living room for sleeping is tolerable, but DS doesn't want to sleep, ever... He has never been one to STTN but he was past the every 2 hr wake up- well apparently not this week. He's been up every 1.5 -2 hrs the last 3 nights. Really not sure what that's about and it's starting to make me crabby after 3 nights of it. . . Oh well at least we don't have to be up for work and hopefully we're not making bad habits for next week. Hopefully the weather will clear up mid week and we can get at least 1 beach day in.
And now I'm off to feed DS prunes cause he hasn't pooped 6 days, yay vacation! :-)

I ordered new sunglasses today, so I hope they make to BIL in time for him to bring them to St. Maarten in a week and a half.

aggiebug, I'm totally jealous about the run. Since we're closer to town, there isn't a good route around the house, so one of these days I may just have to take the jogger to the track. I've gotten the gym back, but not running, and I need that to help get my cardio back up.

We've got a rainy morning ahead and I still need to shower. I ripped my left hand at the gym today, so that stings, but it's not bad.

Glad I'm not alone in the non sleeping baby department. We went from a 2/3 am wakeup and then up at 6 am to an 11 pm and 4 am wake up and up at 730.. Waking up at 730 instead of 6 is so much better that the extra MOTN wake up might be worth it.

Also found my crazy child sitting up in the crib this morning so time to lower it! Hes been sitting for awhile but not getting himself there on his own yet.

boxerrrmama85 very rarely do I have bladder control problems anymore, and it's more like what michelle142 describes. I didn't really have any during pregnancy, but it was pretty bad post vaginal delivery for a couple months or so. There was a thread on Parenting about this a while back; I think the end message was talk to your doctor and maybe get a physical therapy referral? Also Kegels.
hollydfromtn when I was working, I ate lunch at my grandmother's 4 times a week. At a previous job I actually got to eat there 6 times a week, which to no one's surprise was when I hit my highest non-preg weight.

Hope today is better than yesterday, for all the mamas transitioning back to work!

We're starting the 3 solids per day today, as recommended by the pediatrician and something interesting is happening. This little girl who could not sleep past 30-40 minutes has now been napping for over an hour! Not sure if this is a fluke or the start of a new trend, but I'm glad she's finally getting a nice long nap! (My boobs on the other hand have gotten used to nursing every hour to up supply and do not like that she's not awake to nurse now. But I'm convinced that the moment I'm set up to pump, she'll wake up.)

Got up early this morning for a web training for work. Glad my video presence wasn't required, since I was in PJs and nursed DS twice during the training. My supervisor wants me to come back one day or at least half day a week. I think I may bring my manual breast pump to the beach with the ILs next week & see if DS can successfully take a bottle or (more likely) cup of milk. That would make going to work to help with patient visits more likely, whereas right now I just go for the back end / paperwork type stuff. DS is so good just playing on his own or napping in the wrap while I work, but I know once he's mobile that is less likely to be true.

My sister is heading to the desert today, so she'll be completely out of touch for 2 weeks. I miss talking to her already. Maybe DS will wake up from his nap in time to have one last video call, but I doubt it.

Nolagal - sounds painful, I'm sorry! When I stopped pumping it was like my body couldn't wait to stop producing, but there again it was never producing properly in the first place.

I am trying to get over my own fatigue and stress and rejoin spam thread, exercising, etc. My DS has slept through the night two nights in a row, but wakes up 90 minutes of so before we normally do and can't go back to sleep. Then by nap and bedtime he's a sleepy miserable mess. I'm so proud of him but I'd for sure rather have that one wake up/feed than both of us suddenly sleep an hour or more less every night. Ugh I'm so tired!
