You know it was an early morning when DD has woken from her morning nap before she usually goes down for said nap. I am actually not complaining though, I need to get the dogs to the clinic this morning so the timing is actually better. Now if my pups would stop falling apart I would be OK with that.

Tonight starts our season of community band. This year I get to be first chair clarinet, as the former one is getting older and more shaky/poor vision. My nerdy self is excited to be 1st, and section leader! My husband is supposed to be in the horn section, but decided to stay home with the baby. I'm actually pretty proud of him: he's got about 10 days off between leaving his old job and starting his new one. He had all these plans of things he was going to do (yard work, etc), but every evening he says "I think I'll keep the baby tomorrow", and I love it!

Yucky spam is that before band I have to go to the funeral home for the father of one of my band/orchestra/theatre friends whose dad died from bone cancer earlier this week. Cancer sucks.

We had an early morning start this morning. I think I'll take a nap when LO goes down for hers.

Early morning over here too. LO is still on SC time so we were up 2 hours earlier than normal. Today looks like this: gym, Target run, return books to the library, walk, and we'll see what else!

It's a cruddy day here. Going for lunch with a friend who is going to have a baby in a few weeks! We work together so she is going catch me up on whats new. I am excited for us to have a few overlapping months of mat leave!

I also sent in the mountain of paperwork to insurance for DS's helmet. We never had to put through a medical device before and I was surprised how many documents I had to get and send in.

That is pretty much it. Slowly packing for our vacation.Just things like extra toiletries and car activities for kids. It's 8 weeks away but if I don't start now, I know I will never get it done!

I don't know what the heck happened here last night. She slept from 7 to midnight. Evidently her Tylenol wore off because she was up every hour until 4, then up. She went down at 7 for a nap, though, so mommy just got an awesome shower and is attempting to dry her hair for the first time in forever (at least I've got a chance).

God help me, I'm breaking out frozen. Must get coffee.

Sorry for the early mornings!

DS was up at 330 but DH went and rocked him. Today is grocery, cooking for the freezer, cleaning the bathrooms, and packing. Though my mom plans to come over tomorrow to hang out with DS, so as long as I at least get my packing lists written out I should be on schedule.

DS had his first choking episode with BLW last night. He cleared it before we could get him all the way out of the high chair, but the big eyes no breath was no fun. He washed something down his throat when he took a sip of water, but I guess not all the way down his throat.

We had a weird night. For the first time DD slept from 6-6! Of course, I kept on waking up checking that the monitor was still working. We played this morning and went for a walk before I put her down for a nap. Her morning naps are normally 40 minutes if that. We are going on an hour! I hope this is her new thing. I pray this is her new thing.

lilyelayne, how scary! We've been doing BLW too and there have been a few times DS has gagged/choked on his food. I keep the phone next to me when we eat so I can call 911 if needed, lol.

So I'm going to try and start posting here again because I've missed you ladies!

Our Little Man only woke up once last night which was a huge break through for us. Of course, I kept waking up to check on him because it was so out of the normal. Fingers crossed he continues this pattern tonight so I can get a full night of sleep for the first time in about a year

What is up with all of our babies waking up early. S also woke up 2 hours early. I'm making some suck pads for our ergo today. It's the perfect excuse for a HobbyLobby trip! I'm in need of some snaps and the tool. I've been wanting to get one for a while now, so I can try my hand at some diaper covers. I finally got around to making a teething necklace last night. I may make another one of those today too.

lilyelayne, I'm glad G is okay. It's seriously the worst when they do that.

I'm ironing out details for October and should have that booked by the end of the day. Tonight is the last beach rugby session of the summer, which means that next week we start actual training on an actual field. The season is going to start soon and the games will be on a nice recently refurbished pitch! So I'm desperately tryng to get this blanket done for one of my friends on one of the other teams.

And I have to AW the following photo. I know I talk about taking G to the gym and using him as part of the workout. Well, here's photographic proof of him as my weight for sit ups (weighted sit ups weren't even called for, he just didn't want to be set down for long).

I need some input on a new kitchen table. We are getting rid of our old pub style table in our 'morning room' which is open to the kitchen and where we eat the majority of our meals. This is the table we want:



My question is--what kind of chairs? I'm thinking a creamy white? We are trying to lighten it up a little bit. Here is the current table and chair situation:

Thanks. It was really easy to make, but I almost screwed it up by seeing my fabric tube just a hair to small. It was a pain to get the wood beads in there. I found this tutorial for the sick pads. katieskps.blogspot.com/2015/02/corner-drool-pad-tutorial.html?m=1 I like that she has them curved at the bottom to cover the corners, that is S' favorite spot to suck on.

Good!  We've been working to find the balance between daycare, working full time and keeping our house in (somewhat) order.  Every time the husbandman and I think we have it down, Little Man throws a curve ball, lol.  How are things with you and your family?

I saw every hour last night. I'm guessing maybe that he is going to cut a tooth today. Last time he slept so bad was the first time he cut a tooth. This one has been going up and down so much that that two other teeth came in out of sequence! Anyway I hope that is what it is. I should be at work trying to finish up a huge project but in still in my bathrobe at home. Can't motivate myself this morning.

In good spam, tonight we go to a baseball game, it will be V's first time. I'm excited! Our local team was on a winning stretch until last week, so hopefully it's a good game.
