Sunday Randoms + Super Blood Moon Eclipse!

I'm up early due to crappy work-related dreams (repetitive dreams where I let people down over and over again at my job.  UGH)  

As a result I have a big to-do list so I can ensure I don't forget anything that needs to get done today! 


ALSO - tonight is supposed to hols a super blood moon eclipse for much of the US  earthsky.org/tonight  
You going to stay up to check it out?  I will but it might be cloudy tonight!

I'm not Catholic. But, I sat on a towel for four hours yesterday waiting for the Pope to speak at Independence Hall. We thought he'd drive up in his Fiat at 4:30pm or so. At 4pm, they changed the big screens to show the police motorcade and we all thought he was still several blocks away.

But then. The crowd screamed and he came by in his Pope mobile. It was completely worth being uncomfortable, hot, and - ultimately - sunburned.



We saw him again when he paraded down the Parkway, but crowds were so much harder to see through. They also whipped him around the Parkway last night because they were running really late.

I don't know if anyone watched the Festival last night, but YouTube Andrea Bocelli's singing The Lord's Prayer. It was simply beautiful.

We were at the neighbor's yesterday evening for a few beers and burgers. I brought DS home around 8:30 cuz...well bedtime. H said he'd be home soon. At 2 fucking o'clock he comes crashing into the house, pisses all over the fucking bathroom, passes out, just general drunk as fuck. I was awake all night so incredibly pissed off. I stripped off our sheets already this morning cuz they smelled like piss and beer and threw a blanket from the couch at him. He's still up there out cold.

Is it wrong to think that he's too fucking old for this shit? DS is eating tootsie rolls and a pear for breakfast cuz he slept through all of that and I'm still half asleep ugh.

Also had an unpleasant drunk H experience last night  Ugh.

Not at all. DH pulls stuff like this on occasion too. I respond with same level of sympathy as you did.

I'm ready for the eclipse tonight! I put it on my calendar with a reminder so I don't forget. It was supposed to be cloudy tonight but my weather app shows it clearing up before dark.

Besides that, I'll have the house to myself all day while H is at the Lions game. Game starts at 8pm but they're tailgating at 11.

DS let us sleep in a little this morning, which was awesome beyond words. We discovered yesterday that he's cutting his top 2 year molars. Poor kid. At least now we know why he's been acting a fool and can hopefully expect a return to normal at some point. I can't believe he will be 2 a week from today!!!

DH took the dog out bird hunting for a bit. I've got laundry going. Later our neice is coming over for dinner. Another relaxing weekend here.

Hi everyone! I tailgated yesterday for the Uconn game and I was in bed by 9. I so can't hang with the day drinking anymore. But, on the upside I was up this morning at 7 feeling fresh as a daisy. I think I was the third person in the grocery store. Just waiting for the Jets game at 1.

I'm watching the CBS Sunday Morning from today and they are doing a story on millenials. They still insist that the millenial generation starts at 1981. That is insane. I am 33, I do not identify with the millenials.

My FF chart is saying "N/A" for my CD. I'm not temping this cycle, but shouldn't it still tell me my CD? I just entered something in for CM so it would update and give me a CD. Weird. I like seeing my CD so I can begin to estimate when to expect my period.

Not at all. DH pulls stuff like this on occasion too. I respond with same level of sympathy as you did.

MH is definitely too old for that shit and yet does it a couple times a year. He actually usually drinks less than I do overall...but when he goes for it, he goes for it. Asshat fo' sho' and I usually make sure to do lots of loud chores around the house.

It's tough because I absolutely love what I do and the company I work for, I'm just sick of working for someone else.  I have my own company on the side that spoils me but the benefits I have here cannot be beat.

Anyone have quick baking advice? I have to leave for church in 15 minutes, and I'm supposed to bring a cake for the annual cake walk. But I just took it out of the oven 5 minutes ago. Will it be too warm to ice in another 5 minutes or so? Any ideas on how to make sure the icing doesn't melt?

You could try putting it in the fridge or freezer real quick.

It's probably too late now, but could you ice it there? Like right before the cake walk starts?
