YESSS!!! And with that I give you this lovely melody I was totally jammin to the other day.
I have had both a woman and a man OB, and I could care less what sex they are as long as they can do their job. I could also give two shits what my DH prefers since he is not the one getting a pap smear or cervical checks.

I had a man and woman in my OB practice while pregnant with my first, and as it turned out, my OB didn't get to the hospital fast enough to deliver DS so I delivered with the hospital doctor on call who I had never met before. And I didn't give a flying crap who was on the recieving end when that kid came out. LOL.
I prefer a female OB or midwife. The few times I have had a male, they have been more rough. Plus, I prefer a woman doctor that has been through childbirth. You can learn a lot by studying books and watching childbirth, but I think experiencing it first hand gives someone a better perspective.
But when it comes time to push the baby out, I don't care who is in the room. As long as someone catches the baby, I am good. With my last, it was almost the nurse. She didn't want to, but she couldn't find my doc and I couldn't stop from pushing. Luckily for her, doc walked in, put gloves on, sat down and caught the baby (I am not exaggerating).

I had a male GYN and loved him. He retired before I got PG with DD. Now I see the MWs at the practice. I guess it doesn't matter to me as long as they are good at what they do and are personable.

I have a female OB. I prefer a woman for exams such as pap smears, etc because I just feel more comfortable, although one of my RE's was a man and honestly I didn't care that much when push came to shove. I've had a lot of doctors up in my business this past year and as long as they know what they are doing I can get over them being of a different sex. My OB also walks me through everything she does when she's doing an exam. I really like that. My first pap smear was a nightmare because the PA at my college doing it gave me no warning and got really pissy when she had to use KY jelly. It really scarred me.

I'm so excited! I just learned today that some of our closest friends unexpectedly had their baby (due in March!) last night!! 5 weeks early but he is doing great. They were team green too so there is just SO much excitement here! It's a boy! He's here 5 weeks early! He was born at the tail end of the blizzard after a fast and furious labor! What an amazing birth story!! Ahhhhh!!
Here's my random. Do you prefer a male OB or female OB? I prefer a female, but my mom and sister both prefer male. Just trying to start a conversation.
I'm soooo bored at work. I have no desire to do any real work. If I just push buttons, will they think I'm doing stuff?
::stuck in the stupid quote box::
I prefer female, I've never had a male but I've had 3 different females and have liked them all. I don't feel comfortable with a male down there!
I got a good deal on a 6 pack of used newborn diapers (Blueberry Simplex), and they arrived today. Oh my goodness. So freaking adorable. Their little booties are so tiny when they're new!
I'm stressing out a little. We will be buying a cheap minivan with our tax money. (Around $4000) I know we can't buy much with that and I'm nervous that we'll just get a junker that we won't have the money to maintain.
Well its team pink for me.. Hubby is totally in shock after making the tech "triple check". He finally accepted it. He's drawing up plans for the dogs and the barbed wire fence LOL.. Oh this is gonna be fun.
Please note, I was gonna throw out an AW thread but I'm too lazy to upload the pics in an effort to be a smart ass...
And I must say we started party shopping for DS's birthday party today.. Yes, the bandanna printed duct tape is the coolest thing ever!! It shall be wonderful on our water bottles!!
Oh now I remember. 4 Weeks from tomorrow we find out what we are having! I can't wait! And I'm feeling a little more at ease because with my past two pregnancies I bled around 15 weeks and had to have ultrasounds to check on the baby. No bleeding so far! Praying it stays that way.
And...my husband just went to Arby's to get me a chicken sandwich and curly fries!
Just got back in town and so happy to be away from my MIL, we were there for my dh grandpa. My MIL decided to tell everyone in the family that is we have a boy we are naming it Samuel Paul after dh grandpa that just passed away. She told EVERYONE!
