We had a rough 11 p.m. feeding. I normally get to sleep through it, but Z woke up crying before K could pump, so I held her for a while. When she eventually woke up, she downed her bottle in about 5 minutes, and then of course threw up a bit of it. Poor little one.

Ridiculous insomnia tonight! My little one is peacefully asleep but I'm totally unable to sleep. Hopefully we'll be buying a second car today so that could be fueling my insomnia
I screwed myself by miss reading the clock, I thought my baby had been sleeping 4.5 hours when really it was 2.5. So when he started stirring instead of rocking him back to sleep I sort of woke him up! Today is going to suck!
robertjane33 that's nearly identical to what happened with R. He started choking on my let down and our typically 40 minute feed/burp/sleep turned into an hour and a half of spitting up, changing outfits and rocking!
I am already planning my nap for later today. It's going to be glorious.
alfiesMOM I woke up disoriented after a feeding last night and started to wake up R because I thought I heard him stirring. Before I could get too far H woke up and asked what I was doing. I had just laid him down 15 minutes earlier.

B woke up so I sat up in bed, laid him down on my bed to change his diaper and instead leaned forward and laid down next to him. Woke up with my behind in H's face and his knees smashing into my face. At least my body was inbetween B and him. And now I'm up changed B's diaper and idk what's up his butt but he slept through it and is now back asleep in his co sleepers and I'm full. I'm debating on just getting up and changing my underwear and nursing tank or actually showering and getting "dressed" this morning.
I need to shut my phone off at 11pm and not be allowed back on it till I've gotten enough sleep. I got LO down around 11:45 after her 11pm feeding, and then proceeded to stay on my phone till 2am doing absolutely nothing important, and was woken by her and H for her next feeding at 3 and can't fall back asleep. So stupid.
Got admitted to l&d at around 1 this morning due to leaking. I'm on a potocin drip now. They told me to get some rest, yeah like I can with these contractions...
Just really tired. I'm really hoping this one sleeps through the night in the next month. DS didn't until 6 months. I would love 5 to 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep!

Waiting on lo to decide if he's hungry or not. He woke up because of a dirty diaper (he hates being wet) and seems pretty content just sucking on his pacifier. Wish he would fall back asleep or start acting hungry because I'm getting sleepy too!
This kid gets the hiccups more now that he's an outside baby than he did as an inside baby. I didn't even think that was possible! The faces he makes during them are hilarious though, like he's confused by what's happening and they shock him every time he gets one. He also will growl during some of them. My kid makes some of strangest noises
The nurse took Ellie tothe nursery at 1am and was supposed to bring her back after weighing her and taking some vitals. She asked me if I wanted her to keep her overnight and said no because DH was going to handle the next feeding. She never brought her back I just walked down to the nursery and she's sleeping peacefully so I won't disturb her by moving her right now but I HATE when people don't listen to me.
We had the worst night ever. Jude is so congested. He sounds awful. I don't know what to do to comfort him. We got saline fir his nose and we've been sucking boogies. His one month checkup is on Friday but I'm going to call them in a few hours to see what I can do for him.

That's frustrating. One of my night nurses did that and I slightly freaked out. You need to let a woman know where her brand new baby is!
I have to go to the hospital today to turn in my change of insurance forms to the benefits department. I'm pumping now, LO is asleep....I think I need a nap before I get moving!
Last night I was only up for one feeding and two cuddles!! He would cry about 15 mins after putting him down because he wasn't in a deep enough sleep and just wanted held. Doing a 6 o'clock feeding and hoping this kid goes back to sleep. I could really use a few more hours of catch up sleep and I know this night was too good to be true!

I think we're done with breastfeeding. The guilt and the anger about it not working is killing me. We're going to try EPing and just feeding breast milk for awhile, but that's not really the point because I'm not against formula at all. I just feel awful when he looks to me when he's hungry and I just can't give him what he wants. And I'm sad. I really wanted us to be able to do that together.

We're up for good. I realllly had to poo and B refused to be set down do I gave him to DD. And got a few good pictures. I find this one priceless! I really wish it was pay day so I could splurge on whiskey
milagros315 you are such a great mom! Don't forget that, okay?
@happywigglecmb I'm not looking forward to our final bill because the hospital kept bringing us stuff and I only found out at the end we'd have to pay for it all. If I'd known, I would have refused it.

Emily is definitely getting hungrier. The past two weeks, we could get away with just one boob per feeding. Yesterday it started turning into two. This morning she's been giving me "the smackies" every hour and a half. Three week growth spurt is upon us... Bonus for the day: my in-home hair stylist comes this afternoon for DS and I to get haircuts!

DS slept in his crib for the first time last night! (12 days old) Just wish it hadn't taken him almost two hours in the glider to fall asleep first... Wish I had Bailey's to put in all the coffee I am drinking this morning!
