Having lunch with a friend today and then packing for us to go camping this weekend. We'll be staying with friends in their RV which is great since the temperature is dropping and we have a strong chance of rain. It's a big gathering of a lot of friends and should be fun. FX it goes smoothly.
My SIL is pregnant and had some tests done because Down syndrome runs in her family and the nt came back "abnormal". Not sure what that means exactly but she's pretty stressed about it. My brother isnt super worried. She's really hoping it's nothing too serious and that she's over reacting for nothing.
No big plans today. I am excited at the prospect of not frequently leaving the couch. However, I might go for a walk just to get everyone out of the house.
DH has started pitching a fit about middle of the night diaper changes but there is no way in hell in letting him off the hook for it. "Until I go back to work" will turn into forever and ever.
Having sleep problems I feel bad for you hubs, I got 99 problems and I'm not about to let you add MOTN changes to it.
I posted in fit mom check in about falling down steps and hurting my tailbone. Yesterday was better but omg it hurts like hell again today. I've been sitting on Mia's boppy pillow! Think it's time to go buy a donut
Yesterday was so busy! We went to exchange the ktan for a medium and went to pick up Jake's pictures. We tried to go Tuesday but apparently they're closed Tuesdays. I made baked manicotti for dinner. Washed our bedding. Jake has been back to his regularly scheduled sleep pattern of waking up at 3am and 6am. Thank God. I feel human. Today I have to go pick up the birth announcements and send those out. We got 60. I don't think that's enough but wife did and I didn't want to argue so I'll just print more if needed.
My best friend is coming to visit! We've been friends since kindergarten. She lives in Portland and I haven't seen her since my wedding 5 (!) years ago. I'm so excited!
Goal for the day: set up day care tours for tomorrow. I don't know why I let myself sit for so long on this. I guess I'm just in denial that I have to go back to work. Now I'm worried I won't be able to get Jake in anywhere. Shit.
thewop T&Ps for your SIL - is it the AFP test? Especially for Downs, those tests have high sensitivity and low specificity, so it could very likely be nothing. Still, FX.
Two month appointment for DS2 today and DD is tagging along for a flu shot. I didn't want to drag DS1 out of pre-K today, so when I pick him up we're going to go to the CVS minute clinic (next to an ice cream shop) and I'll get a flu shot with him. We'll do ALL the shots.
So, since today is shot-pocalypse I'm thinking of throwing out my meal plan for tonight and doing take out.
Oh! Oh! Also, I just found out my SIL is pregnant!!! Her other kids are 12 and 14 and this was a total surprise, so it's like they're starting over, but she's happy and I'm happy for her. Cousins!!!!!!!
The little man has been sleeping terribly this week, and I'm exhausted! Hoping that turns around soon.
Making chicken pot pie for dinner, with homemade applesauce, and cheesy garlic biscuits too. I love cooking in Autumn/Winter.
I think we are finally going to be able to paint our bedroom this weekend! We moved in the weekend Henry was born and have been busy every weekend since, so we haven't gotten around to it. It's going from Pepto Bismal pink to a nice deep bluish grey. So excited!
I just ate two apples with caramel peanut butter dip for breakfast.
You know how my H doesn't wake up to baby crying? Last night he started up all night to take care of baby so I could sleep the whole night. I love that man.
LIttle girl is sleeping on me. She doesn't daytime nap anymore. I can't decide whether I should risk moving her to the rock n play and getting dressed/being productive or sitting here while she naps.
@livnluv healing thoughts coming your way! Tailbone injuries are the worst.
@missava387 that always happens when I actually want to do something while she naps. I was counting on her morning sleepy time to get us through church last weekend - not so much. And the Friday we went camping, I ended up bouncing her all morning while dad loaded everything himself.
DH is home from work today so he took DS to school and C and I are snuggled up on the couch watching tv. Well, I'm watching tv...she's sleeping on my chest.
This is normally when she naps in her swing and I do my cleaning, but of course she didn't want anything to do with it today for some reason- so lazy day it is!

I'm probably just going to sit here
Haha, that's what I'm doing! Put those feet up mama.
I'm bringing a 6week old baby to Austin city limits tomorrow. I bought hearing protection for her. We are only going for like 3 hours for the headliner. This is not a completely horrific idea, right? Uggghh.

The camping we're doing this weekend involves live music. It's actually H's bands last show. I tried M's headphones on this morning, so cute! They're almost as big as his head!
I did co -sleeping for the first time since the hospital! I have nothing against it, but our bed just isn't set up to do it safely. Well when MH was leaving for work, she was waking back up and I had just put her back down and wanted to get more sleep. So I brought her into bed and side lied nursed and then we slept for almost two hours! I think I was safe about it. We have a king bed and I was on the edge, her in the middle. We have a duvet and lots of pillows but none by her. She slept with her head in the crook of my arm. I liked it but I don't think it will become a regular thing.

You should be fine as long as she wears the ear muffs. It's been several years since I've been, but it was loud. And hot. Hopefully the weather cooperates and it's at least decent. Have fun!

It will be below 80 once the sun goes down.
That's fucking freezing for south Texas!
It got down to 71 here the other night and I was freezing. Lol. Such a pansy.
Need to take a shower, give E a bath, and wash her diapers before 3. H's award ceremony is at 1500 so I need E to look cute, since this is the first time his coworkers will meet her. Or me. But baby law says she'll spit up and/or poop all over me and her as soon as we get there.
Hoping to get to the farmers market today. It's the second to last week!
This makes me want to go to our farmers market! Apparently Raleigh has an awesome one, but I haven't had a chance to check it out yet since I have moved here!

telos Yay for all the shots. I can't freaking wait until our next round.
@piedpiper07 holy crap. I feel like A is the size of his head and neck, and she's 4.5 months. I know she doesn't count as that old, but geez. How much did he weigh there, do you remember?

Someone I worked with had this happen too for both their daughters. They had to do slightly more invasive tests but they came back normal and their daughters are doing just peachy. Hope the same goes for your SIL!!!

Folding a gazillion towels and baby clothes. Both I really only do when I completely run out. Grocery shopping tonight, which means I need to clean out the fridge. Jack has been sleeping for hours, this is awesome!

I think he was 25 lbs, he outgrew the swing it was awful!! He is 3 now and 36lbs so he definitely slowed down haha but he was huge!
I guess bonus points for A being so small. We will get lots of use from that swing. I am so screwed when she's too big for it. Lol.
