Just now catching up. sorry for those of you feeling sick! twobananas, how did the party and telling people about the babies go? jjh1119, your DS is ADORABLE!
Judge away, but we put up Christmas decorations today. It took most of the day, getting stuff out of the attic, unpacking stuff, putting boxes back in the attack, cleaning everything up. I'm so relieved it's done though. So much work for only one month! My DH refuses to turn the lights on or hang the outdoor lights until after Thanksgiving though. Tonight our town had a "light the tree" ceremony, and Santa came in on a firetruck. My DS couldn't have cared less about Santa but was AMAZED by the firetruck!
Now I'm sitting here watching college football and drinking peppermint tea!
I have made it through hosting my first thanksgiving! It's a bit of a blur but everyone had a good time so that's good and the food was great. I was also able to eat everything and wasn't hardly nauseous yesterday which was amazing since the day before I was holding back throwing up all day! That was probably one of my worst days so I'm happy it went away at least for a day now it's time to start getting ready for our trip Tuesday! Excited to see my family but not looking forward to our 10 hour drive with an 18 month old!
txmommy14 we put ours up last weekend no judging here! We wanted it to be up for company this weekend and since we will be gone next week we thought it would be nice to come home and already have it done!
Hey guys. I need a new prenatal vitamin that contains iron but I'm so overwhelmed by the options! I'm looking for: 1) one small(ish) pill per day, 2) nothing that smells foul, and 3) DHA added. I don't really care about 90% of the other ingredients in those things. I've been taking gummies (which I LOVE) but my hematocrit is on the low side of normal so I know I'll need a red blood cell boost for second & third trimesters. Tell me what brand you're taking!
I am really happy with Naturemade pre-natal + DHA. It really doesn't have a bad smell at all (not fishy or gross), and it's surprisingly NOT a giant horse pill. It's longish but thin.
Last night I had a dream that I was bleeding, and my ob got me on but I woke up before the ultrasound. I'm a bit of a mess today. Thank goodness I have an appointment a week from tomorrow. I'm hoping the week goes by fast with the holiday so it can hurry on up.

We leave for Disneyland this morning! I'm excited but felt nauseous all night and it's now MS. DS is so excited and DH is meeting is there tonight so we are both happy to see him too!! Now the debate, should I take the sonogram to do some kind of Disney announcement pic? Probably should since it's a free opportunity. Also debate be whether or not to bother taking DSs Mickey ears. He claims he wants to but there's no way he'll actually wear them. I probably should since he will remember he doesn't have them once we are there and it could cause a problem.

This happened to me last week two days before my appointment. I woke up and was surprised to not see any spotting or blood because it felt so real. I was a mess but everything checked out perfectly at my appointment.

I'm taking this and I think it's huge! I'm not good at pills and can swallow it but it's big! I take it at night and it does upset my stomach a little but it seems a little better compared to others I have taken.
DH has a man cold. He's walking around half asleep and I've already heard "Ugh, I don't feel good..." at least 4 times. Gonna be a long day!
Note that I have the same cold, only I'm not able to take anything for it. I'm not sure that I can muster up much sympathy for him.
I could have written this exact post today. DH is sick and acting pitiful. Meanwhile I vomited this morning but am still moving along. I have no sympathy-I took care of our DS alone while sick for a month. My goal today will be to not be mean about it! Here's to hoping both of our DHs snap out of it...

Have you considered taking the Slow FE pill for just the iron? It's super tiny and easy to take.

I agree with this-I took it with my DS, super small pill.

Oh I'll totally look into this! Is it iron only? Every iron supplement I've seen so far also has other stuff I'm already getting in the gummy - folic acid, vitamin b12, vitamin c.

Yeah it's just iron. My OB put me on it last Pg. . This time in trying really hard to do the prenatal with iron so I only have to remember one.

Yes, it's only iron. It's called slow release FE iron. Only downside is that it makes you constipated, so I took it every other day.

Mine is currently doing a load of laundry so I think he got the hint that I wasn't having it today.
I just scored an awesome deal on a train table and a train set on our local facebook yard sale group. We wanted to get one for DS for Christmas last year but couldn't find anything we liked, and this is EXACTLY what we were looking for. I'm super pumped right now!
I'm also laughing at myself that this is what gets me so excited nowadays.

I had a wonderful lunch date with DS today! Granted we only went to McDonald's, but he was so cooperative and he actually ate very well for the first time in over two weeks. Now we are snuggling on the couch, I'm hoping he goes down for a nap so I can start some laundry and clean the entryway and find my winter jacket for work tomorrow.

Your DS is going to be so excited!!
I know! I saw it and was like "DH. Come here right this second and look at this NOW!" so I could scoop it up. I usually see stuff after tons of other people have already staked their claim so I was super pumped this morning. He's on his way to pick it up now!

Awesome! That's what I want to get DS for his birthday. I'm thinking about doing a play kitchen for Christmas but can't decide.

Yeah, this is the side effect I'm afraid of... It's already been a huge problem for me this pregnancy... I'd really rather not be totally colace-dependent, but I also don't want to be anemic. Tough balance.

I never get those things in time!! I've been selling stuff on it this morning though...trying to slowly start clearing out our guest room to be a toddler room for DS! So much to buy. Even though we will barely have to buy anything for a new baby, I could Google spend an arm and a leg furnishing a room for DS!
