The hospital we delivered at sends a home nurse to you for 4 visits and ours just came by and we asked the same thing. Seconding misshart00 on the left side and then the nurse said to tuck/bring his knees to his chest and pat his bottom.
PikoPiko runs off to fart the Little. (There's "burping the baby" after you feed, the same grammatical structure shall apply to farting too)
It's true! Even when I'm burping him, I try to "burp" his lower back too to break up bubbles in his intestines, etc. I have no idea if it works but I feel like it does.

Are your babies crying during diaper changes too? Mine starts screaming before his clothes are all moved out of the way. Solo much crying. Will he ever get used to it?

DS screams during diaper changes too. DD does sometimes too. He'll get used to it but sometimes theyre cranky.
For those trying to fart their babies, I found this video on tummy massage last night. I didn't have any infant safe massage oil (or any massage oil, tbh) but I kinda tried it today and maybe it worked? IDK, but he stopped crying and stared at me while I massaged his little belly, so I'm counting it as a keeper/try again. Also, I really like the lady's accent. www.youtube.com/embed/RINGqYMmnkY?autoplay=1
Took Lucas out on a stroll for the first time. We went to a organic food store to pick up my hippie lactation boosting supplies. Drank some fennel tea earlier and am pumping now: supply is still anemic. I'll drink more today and tomorrow to see if there's a change.
Anyone get super bad heartburn again at 41w+3 days.... Anyone get to 41w+3 days .... Fml
I only got to 41w +2 for the c-section since we started inducing 41w+0. No heartburn. Hope you get to meet your squish very soon. 41w+3 was my doctor's absolute max for letting me go before induction.

Bicycling the legs is good too.
Mine doesn't let me bicycle his legs. I do rub his stomach a lot and stroke downward at an angle (like making a V) on both sides to help with the gas. Even though it applies to getting your baby to burp or fart, I do like using the term "winding" for making him fart (gas is called wind here). He has some loud farts and hates being burped.

I learned today it's the removal of his sleeper that sets DS off. We put him in his sleeping bag in just a onsie because our apartment is so warm (we don't even have the heat on, it seems to get warmed by everyone else's apartments) and was able to change his this morning without him waking up. Now I'm waiting for him to wake up to eat since he refused to fall asleep until midnight instead of his usual 1030 to 11pm routine. Kid was inconsolable until I stuck a boob in his mouth (I'd pumped after we came home and DH gave him a bottle) at which he promptly feel asleep as soon as I managed to get him latched. I need a human boob shaped pacifier.

DS has also been really gassy this week. Any of you ladies have a lousy burper? DS only burps about 50% of the time. This is adding to his discomfort big time. Any tips on getting him to burp?

Just sent h and Dd to the store. Little man is sleeping so I'm catching up on here and my hulu queue. I opened the blinds to get him some sunshine while I fed him, I really feel we're kicking this jaundice out finally.
Are you trying a new style or just the trim? I totally chopped mine off right before lo arrived haha
I hadn't thought about it that much. It has been a long time since I did anything interesting with it. I usually go in with a sense of what I want and see what they think.

There was a little while I was trying to actually read through all 100 + pages of this thread while nursing. Amazingly I got about halfway through, but its hard to keep up!
