Team FUPA over here too. I can't remember how long it took for it to go away the first time or if it even looked like this after my first c-section. I try not to be bothered by it but it does bug me that nothing fits me and I refuse to wear my maternity clothing. I really hate my body PP and this time is so much worse.
So it will go away?! You give me hope! I live in fold over yoga pants and still rocking the mesh undies (yes I washed some to re-wear) because it's all that fits and is comfortable. My incision doesn't hurt persay but has a strange numb feeling that won't tolerate my regular undies.
My belly skin and incision are ultra sensitive which I don't remember from before so I keep washing and wear the same underwear that don't irritate my skin. It took a bit to get back into my normal pants my first pregnancy but it did eventually happen! I remember wearing lose shirts and stretchy shorts for a while but I want to say around the 2 month ish mark I was fairly back to normal. Of course pre pregnancy I never had love handles and I've been stuck with those ever since but the FUPA did go away.
Okay so WWYD: my ob/gyn's office scheduled an appointment 4 days after my surgery I'm assuming to check my incision or something. I gave birth on a Thursday 2/12, they called Friday to confirm my Monday appointment. When I had talked to them then and reminded them I was only going to be 4 days PP, 2 days out of the hospital, they were a bit hesitant at first then said it would be fine to keep my appointment.
Well when I had went to my appointment my ob had said I could take off the steri strips after my next shower and that my incision looked great and that he probably wouldn't have to see me till my next Pap smear. Mind you, I had a tubal ligation during my cesarean. So I'm sitting here reading about everyone's 6 week PP check and I don't have one scheduled. Is this just because I had the tubal and it was a RCS? Is everyone just guessing that I'm going to heal great from checking my incision 4 days PP and that I'm going to wait 6 weeks to DTD and that I'll be well enough to do so then? Should I just play doctor and figure everything is fine, make an appointment at the same office or should I make an appointment at another office?
I thought that the FUPA and the belly pouch are two separate things. Like, a c-section incision is right at the top of the FUPA, right below where the belly 'overhang' is.

I would probably just call my doc and make sure they don't want to see you again. And bring up everything you've said here.
FWIW, I've never waited on doctors clearance to DTD. I went by my discharge paperwork which says aprox 4 weeks as long as vaginal discomfort and bleeding have subsided.

I'm thinking of when the FUPA and belly pouch become one or aren't discernible from each other. Otherwise you're right FUPA =/= the pouch.
misshart00 good luck! I finally got my shower and even got to blow-dry my hair. I now feel slightly civilized.
Do you ladies just leave LO where they are when you shower? I've been dragging his RNP into the shower area with me. He loves staring at our colorful curtain and if he wakes up, he's pretty content to just stare at it and won't cry. Other than him waking up and screaming his head off, my concern with leaving him alone for 10+ minutes is him spitting up and gagging on it (which he has only done once but that scared the poop out of me).

I've taken him to the bedroom or just left him in the living room. But I also leave him in the living room to go clean the office or what not.
I ate dinner around 5. It's now 6, and I'm wondering when is a socially acceptable time to eat my night-snack (frosted mini wheats). I could seriously just eat all day/night long. I am never going to wear anything other than stretchy-waist pants. Ever. Again.

Is he usually awake or asleep? For some reason, I feel guilty if I leave him alone in another room while he's awake (even though he's perfectly fine, staring at the wall or whatever it is he's looking at). I need to get over that so I can get more stuff done.

Both. I'm also a STM so I'm more lax about a lot of things.

I have him in a bouncy chair where I can see him. He likes the music and vibration.

Diapers that have the pee strip indicator on the front have definitely ruined all other diapers for me.
They're nice but they will hold more than what it takes to turn the indicator. I'm still struggling to explain this DH. He thinks as soon as it's blue we need to change him.

This. The main purpose of them is to sell more diapers.
I usually just change after so long. Unless it's obvious that it needs changing.

DH and I went on our first date night last night. We left DS at home with my MIL and had a great time out to dinner. I even had my first pp drink. It was called "Front Porch Punch" and it was pure heaven. Mixing sweat tea, lemonade, and moonshine is always a good idea. I plan on recreating the drink here at the house as my go to summer cocktail. I love living in the south where moonshine is readily available
