They said I might not be able to heart beat next week either. Even though the baby will be measuring 8 weeks. This is odd to me. My daughter had strong heartbeats by that point

We couldn't hear the heartbreat at 8 weeks either- they didn't even try. I switched office and figure they have different equipment.

With dd, they couldn't find her heartbeat till my 12 week visit. I ended up having an extra u/s at my 9 week visit because of it, but all was well

My OB won't even check on the doppler for a HB until at least 10 weeks and even then they let you know not to get worried if we can't hear it. With my first two we heard it at my 11 week visit.

Hearing a heart beat happens later than 8 weeks. You can see it easily on an ultrasound, but hearing it with a doppler is more like 10-12 weeks.
