I've had horrible back pain so I went in for an early ultrasound today. I'm 7 + 2.
The doctor was thrilled, she saw a fetal pole. Consistent with a healthy 5 week pregnancy.
There is literally no way in the world I'm 5 weeks. I got my bfp on 12/4.
Needless to say. I'm devastated. They sent me for hcg, I should get answers today.
Any way this progresses to a healthy baby?
*update. From scan today. Baby is now measuring 7 weeks. Still a deviation from where I should be based on my bfp (I'm 8 + 2 based on my miscarriage date and 7 +4 or 5 based on my ovulation date), buuuuuut awesome news. There was a visible heart beat, but the doctor couldn't catch it to hear it or measure it. I go back in a week. Thank you all so much for your support so far.

Hugs. I know that ultrasounds in early pregnancy can often be scary and confusing and make everything look like it's all over. I'll be hoping it's just early ultrasound confusion and your little bean catches up by the next scan. <3
DD's due date jumped by two weeks in our first few visits and the timeline made zero sense, but DD is now 2.5 years old. I know it's an antidote, but you never know.

I'll take all the happy anecdotes I can get at this point.
Thank you. It was shitty scan. She spent *maybe* a full minute in there. She didn't measure anything. She seemed very positive that the pregnancy looked great, until I told her the dates were mega off.

Come to think of it, my three year olds dates were off. I knew when he was conceived because I had just come off of a second tri loss and went out of town for three weeks right after we got down the first time post D&C. The doctor was 12 or so days off, making the supposed conception date when I was away from DH. And also made the bfp suuuuper early, like scientifically impossible early. Anyway, I was not surprised when he was born three week early, which was really a week early in my book.

Ugh, I'm sorry. Are you getting a follow up scan soon?

Hugs - I'll be thinking of you. FWIW, the first ultrasound I had, they moved my due date back by a week. The second ultrasound, they realized they didn't get a great view the first time and moved it back up. FX that they just didn't get a good look!

This is me. The dates are impossible. I couldn't be 5.5 weeks pregnant. I got a bfp 25 days ago.
