I got a break from the insomnia last night. Still had broken sleep due to nursing DD 3-4 times throughout the night but my body needed that sleep so bad.
Also, +1 on the sex dreams. I had one that I had a one night stand with another woman and we knocked each other up... Lol.
Please someone motivate me to clean my house. It seriously looks like a bomb went off here. I haven't done dishes or laundry or garbage in 6 days because we were gone so much over Christmas and I'm SO freaking tired ALL the time.
Now the house is so messy that it is overwhelming me and keeping me from even starting on anything.
My family is so needy too. I can't go 2 minutes without DD(4) DS(8mo) or DH(broken leg) saying "mama?!"
Do you ladies have a cleaning schedule you follow? Any tips for tackling the enormous mess? Keeping the family occupied?
TLDR: I'm tired(lazy?) and my house is a mess. Send help.
This is so me right now. The kids trashed everything with their new gifts and it is so overwhelming. I am usually a neat freak but i am just too tired to even deal right now. Oh, and my IL's arrive Thursday at lunchtime
I do have a good cleaning schedule though. I am happy to share.
I typically have a cleaning schedule so I just do a few things each day. However, between nausea and exhaustion I've just been doing the bare minimum. My H has been doing so much to help! Anyways, a typical week is similar to this:
M/W/F vacuum upstairs T/Th vacuum downstairs M all dusting and wiping of furniture T bathrooms W laundry Th mopping and baseboards wiped F overall pickup of anything I missed during the week
Every day of the week I run the dishwasher and do a solid kitchen clean up. The girls are required to pick up all toys before bed.
I'm going to need something like this. I am likely going to have to SAH after this baby and I'll need some kind of cleaning schedule - right now, I have none.. at all. Not that I have the motivation to clean or anything.
ETA: dc2london - I'd love to see your schedule if I may.
I hired a cleaning lady. I can't be bothered lately with cleaning. She comes once a month to deep clean and I'll just spot clean here and there.
I once said that i wanted a monthly cleaning lady as my Christmas present. My h said, "You would end up completely cleaning the hoise before she came over, thus defeating the purpose." He's so right.

I will pick up before she comes over. She charges per hour and I don't want her wasting her time picking up our crap.
She freaking rearranged my kitchen before thanksgiving to give us more counter space!!!! I wish you guys all lived near me, I would give you her number!

Err I just got told I got a nice size raise.. second year in a row... kind of awkward. Now I have to find a way to tell them I'm leaving. My company is really good to me but I can't afford two in DC on my salary plus DDs school tuition. I almost wish I didn't like the people I work with so much. This is going to be hard

We are in a townhouse too. So this is good! Thank you!
I went to my first appointment at the new midwives office today. The MW seems nice, but they couldn't date the pregnancy so we are just going off my last period start date. I guess it doesn't really matter either way, but it's a little odd. We will have a 12 week (hopefully) ultrasound so we should get a better date then. I know it's all just a guess anyway, but I'd like something a little more concrete. We did see the heartbeat so that was good!
Hi ladies. I've been running/busy all day and I'm so exhausted. I ran errands with my mom and got fabric to recover our kitchen chairs, out to lunch, and bought some play room storage. Then we spent forever reorganizing the play room and packing away toys they have outgrown.
I'm (finally) on such a kick to get my house in shape. We moved last March and never got fully decorated/organized.

Congrats on the raise!! I'm waiting to see what mine is before I decide if I will stay home or not. My motivation to work is decreasing by the day. Perhaps they'll make it worth my while to stay but doubtful.

Today is not a good day for MS. I've been so nauseated all day. DD had peanut butter crackers and donuts for lunch because I didn't want to move. My body can't decide if I'm hot or cold. And of course, DH works until midnight tonight. I'm counting down the minutes until my kids go to bed.

Too early for confessions? 6w4d and broke out the Bella band today after lunch. Could not deal with tight pants any longer, and I made a commitment to myself to get dressed every day so yoga pants are out. I feel so much better! I haven't put on an lbs yet but the bloat....argh.

Have you tried the Unisom and B6? I've been really bad the past week- like I had to go out to the car while we were grocery shopping so I wouldn't puke in the store. I took 1/2 a Unisom and B vitamin last night and feel so much better today.

I haven't yet. Mostly because it would require me going to the store. Lol.

I will confess. I use these reusable ice cube things bc I can't stand when ice melts in my drink. One night I was desperate for cold water and none of the cubes were frozen, so put a frozen teething toy in my water

Bought one yesterday. My pants were already questionably tight. #4w5d

Oh good. I'm glad I'm not the only one throwing random food at their kids. My kids ate toaster strudels, dry fruit loops, and cheese sticks for breakfast.

And the 10 month old just ate a tootsie roll off the floor that sister dropped. Mother of the year here.
My due date is 8/22 and my friend asked me to be her bridesmaid on 8/20. I think I'll be having this baby at 37 weeks, assuming we get that far. Not too excited to pick out a dress size now... What a tricky situation.

I took my kids to the movies out of desperation. The 2 yr old spilled a giant bucket of popcorn, then lay down to make snow angels in it
I woke up to pee 3 times last night! I have officially lapped SO who normally is up twice per night. Today I was hungry for soup cause someone had to go and mention it in yesterday's randoms. I got some Ramens and was satisfied.
Definitely NOT feeling it today. Stomach is crampy, I am a little out of breath, and I am tired. Got into it with SO a bit, and it just drags me down. I grew up with uninvolved parents, and I envision in a perfect world, mom and dad both WANTING to spend time together and with baby. Well, my SO doesn't have the same ideas naturally, and I am getting tired of being a naggy whiner. And now he is mad because he feels like I don't appreciate that he is "trying" when he made a few hours to laze around on the couch with us ONCE in the last 2 weeks. I'm sorry, I know you run your own business, but wasn't the point of rearranging your hours to spend more time with us and not "working" (playing your dumb video game)?

Sorry, ladies. I just hate fighting about dumb stuff all the time, and I am worried about his level of involvement now that #2 is coming.
ETA: ok he apologized and we talked a bit more. Relationships take work, whoda thunk it. I apologized for randomly starting a fight.
