I promised myself if I got pregnant I wouldn't complain about my symptoms. I'm still keeping to that IRL but can I whine for a minute to all of you? I'm nauseous and tired and have a headache and my nose is driving me nuts. All I want is a nap and I can't have one. **end whining**
You busted ass to get to this point. Doesn't mean you have to be excited to feel like shit day after day.
I know, I just hated listening to pregnant ladies whine for 3 years straight when I would have given anything to be in their shoes...

It's all in who you whine to, though. Whining to other people who are happy to be pregnant but hating feeling sick = OK. Whining to those who you don't know if they'd loose a limb to be in your shoes = not so OK.

Also, H finished my bottle of ginger ale without asking. He just got his first lesson of pregnancy: you do NOT finish a pregnant woman's anything. EVER.
My big head has been deflated a bit this week. When I was pregnant with my son, I barely ever had symptoms and felt great the entire time. Like, I'm talking I was induced at almost 42 weeks and worked out the morning I went in for my induction. I always knew I was just lucky and every pregnancy is different, but deep down I thought that this pregnancy would be the same. Well, the last 4-5 days I have felt pretty crappy and had no energy. And I'm not liking it!!
Moral of the story- I have realized I'm not some magical unicorn pregnant lady. I just lucked out last time.
This was me with my first 2. Not so this time around.
I've been pretty lucky both pregnancies. I've been saying that if all goes well with this one, I'd sign up to be a gestational carrier. I've been super lucky so I think it would be an amazing experience to give a couple a baby who can't carry one.

We ended up going to Panera because I really wanted one of their Greek salads. It was very satisfying. I also tried their iced green tea with papaya and it was amazing!

God I wish I could drink tonight!!!! After a week and a half of my ILs, I have had enough!!! The negativity, hypocrisy and micromanaging is pissing me off. I snapped at my husband over something so stupid because of all this. I am so ready to go home!

If it was any other medical condition you wouldn't expect someone to be quiet all the time right? Not saying people have to complain all the time, but still there is this whole push to be more aware of PPD and PPA. How can people expect new moms to be willing to talk about that if they've been told to be silent their entire pregnancy? When else do you have diarrhea, vomiting, headaches, and nausea that's normal? It sounds more like Ebola
I don't remember it doing so with DD2 or having ever read that it does. I'm just trying to figure out what changes that I went from "sort of sick" to "vomitting despite medication."
You probably just hit some magical line in the sand of fetal development. It changes that fast sometimes
Yep. I went from normal mild ms to sick for hours in less than a day. Happened my 1st pregnancy too.
