That massage was incredible. I must make time to do that more often. I feel like a new person!
Hooray! So, did you lay on your stomach? I have a gift certificate for a massage but my boobs hurt like hell when I lay on my stomach. Did you have this problem?
Omg. DH just told me the craziest office story ever. I am dying at the sheer stupid. And drama.
Here's the story: Carl is dating Anita, she announced in the office that she is pregnant and Carl is the dad. Fran hears the announcement and hides in the bathroom crying for an hour...because apparently she's also been sleeping with Carl and just found out she is also pregnant. Fran and Anita work in the same dept, Carl works in another department and my husband works in yet another department.
Apparently, the department the two women work in has now divided into factions. When their director discovered this, she lined them up in the corridor for a team meeting and told them if they can't figure out how to work cooperatively then they could leave...
My response was: WTAF? Birth control??
I mean, I'm still dumbfounded by this story.
Ummmm this sounds like a soap opera or an episode of Maury! Crazy people!

I did! I hadn't really done it much since pregnancy, but it wasn't bad. I just made sure theyvwere empty first and kind of pulled them to the side.

What is this "me" time you all speak of? If I'm lucky I get me+just 1 kid time...
Just pump a bottle, hand them off to DH and walk away! Don't ask. Just say, "I have to go out for a bit. I'll be back in 2 hours." Then run away very fast while DH is still too shocked to speak. He will survive.
sweetsurprise we went cold turkey to the crib (or napping on a blanket on the floor) the day of his two month appointment. He was knocked out most of the day so it didn't phase him at all. I guess he woke up and realized it wasn't so bad sleeping in his own room where mom and dad weren't being as noisy. Occasionally he will nap in the swing but I don't make a habit out of it because, well, muscle development.
Crap, I didn't realize it's that bad for muscle development. He basically only naps in the swing.
My rainbow arrived 10/15/14.
5 cycles of "TTC" - 3 intentional, 2 not so intentional. 5 BFPs.
TFMC 08.02.13 at 19+ weeks. Everyday I grieve for my little Olive.

Not even joking this exact thing happened at my mom's work years ago except that "Carl's" wife also got pregnant at the same time... needless to say, he had 3 kids and no wife 9 months later.

Wow. Just wow. Can't believe this shit actually happens in real life.

darwinfish I'm going to smack the worry out of you. You have to relax! You're going to miss the joy if you don't. Just enjoy your sweet boy. He is doing great! You've been through a lot but you have to turn off that voice in your head that is always looking for something to go wrong.
(I'm sorry if that was harsh! I just don't want you to miss anything because you're so focused on the worry!)
My kids won't nap. The only thing keeping him happy is sitting on the couch staring at the puppy bowl on TV. I'm letting him because I have to make cookies for a super bowl party. It's ok because puppies, right?

My first two only slept in the swing or car seat for the first 6 months. They are both fine.

I had a massage a few weeks ago and it was awesome. I just pumped before I went and it wasn't too bad laying on my stomach. The part that sucked was the beds were heated so I may have a had a little bit of a let down sometime during that hour

Noah is being very strange today. He's fussing way more than usual and crying at the breast. I had to dangle feed earlier to get him to eat and the walk with him to get him to keep eating. Sometimes he doesn't know whether he's happy or upset. He is laughing and fussing at the same time.

Quick question...anyone wearing baby face out yet? He's young but he's got good control and K'tan recommends facing out around 5+ mo...
Nope and I won't. Boba has a good article about why it's not recommended to ever forward face in a carrier. (Overstimulation for baby, not ergonomic for mom among others).
