Um, holy crap. DCF just called us about a 2 month old girl, wanting to know if we would like to be considered for the teaming (basically, they review and compare home studies to the child's file and a team of people vote on which family they think is the best fit - here's a blog post I wrote about the process) and we said yes. I'm not sure when the teaming is taking place and I know that there are ton of families that want to be considered and the chances of us getting selected is slim, but what if we are? Holy crap, I'm nervous and excited.

Also I will admit I am walking almost exclusively to try to stay ahead of ugaqueencity on FitBit.
I didn't wear my FitBit for the first few days of January and now I feel like I will never catch up.
I showered a few hours ago and forgot to put mine back on... And went on a walk with the dogs and ran all these errands (after sleeping most of the day). I'm so annoyed I missed out on capturing all those steps!!!

Y'all are fierce competition.
I was brainstorming what I can do during a 3.5 hr layover in Chicago, and now I realize... I can work on my step count!
I've totally done this on long layovers. I'll walk from the gate I landed at to the gate I need to be at (just so I know where it is) and then just head off in a direction and keep walking as much as I can.

I'm sure we'll all forget a few days over the month and it will even out. Plus, next month is a new opportunity to put us all to shame. Don't let it get you down.

requiressnacks you should definitely join in now! The more the merrier! And as long as you've been wearing your Fitbit this month, I think it should sync all of your steps to the group automatically.
