This is DH's last weekend home. He's napping and DS and I are watching Sesame Street after playing trains all morning. This afternoon, I have a haircut, then my friend who I sat for the other night is watching DS so DH and I can have date night. Bowling and dinner!

Following the pinned post on Naria's loss, I looked over at August. They have had so many losses. It's heartbreaking. I wish June could just...settle a big heavy blanket over August's shoulders.
Do you think we could do a candlelight vigil thread dedicated to August, or would that be, I dunno, not our place? I wish we could help...I know we can't, but we could say we're thinking of them. I don't want to overstep, though, and it is sensitive for obvious reasons.
What does June think? What do our loss moms think?
Well, no explanation for pain. Sono showed same as anatomy scan-cysts and previa, but the report didn't mention anything about my cervix opening or anything, so that's good. Specialist called me last night and also wants to do an echo on baby just to see heart better. The morphine seemed to help me for an hour or so, but now that I'm back come, the pain is severe again. They gave me Tylenol 3, I just hate taking so much medication while pregnant. This morning the cramps were so bad I was sobbing laying in the fetal position. The OB of course just says to rest and drink water. I have a pretty high pain tolerance so feel silly that they're chalking it up to normal pregnancy pains. For now I'm just going to try to sleep the rest of the day.

I hate that they could not figure out what was going on. Huge hugs.
txmommy14 I'm sorry you weren't able to get better information. Glad to hear the baby looks well. It sucks that it isn't easier to get answers about these things. Even normal aches and pains are scary, let alone what you are dealing with.
txmommy14 I hope the pain stops soon and you can get some rest!
Ds was in bed at 7pm last night and didn't fall asleep till 11pm. He just took 2 hours to fall asleep at nap. I'm not exhausted from playing, I'm exhausted from getting him to sleep. My parents laid with him till he fell asleep at their house for a week. I think he got used to it. I don't blame them, they did what worked for them, but now I have to get rid of the bad habits. Wish dh was here to help.
I took DS to the mall to play at the play place. He's normally so outgoing and friendly but he would not play today. I was really patient with him but after thirty minutes of him whining but not wanting to leave, I told him that we were going to leave if he didn't want to play.
There was a woman staring at me the entire time and it made me so uncomfortable. I kept looking at her but she wouldn't stop staring at us, DS threw a tantrum and I carried him out of there. She watched us the entire time. It made me feel so inadequate. As soon as we left DS was totally fine and calmed down, I knew he was just overwhelmed. But I'm still upset an hour later because of that lady. Ugh, I hate that I let people's judging get to me.
Next time say something! That's so rude! Don't feel inadequate all kids have their moments!
My abdominal pain disappeared for awhile, but has returned. I finally rang up the on call Doctor. He told me that if I could eat it was unlikely to be something emergency room-worthy like appendicitis and more likely RLP. I should see how the pain goes tonight and tomorrow. I'm somewhat reassured, but I need to stop googling. Everything I read tells me RLP shouldn't be a sustained pain over hours. Sigh.

@txmommy and vivela so sorry you both have so much pain! Rest up, take care of yourselves, and hoping tomorrow is a new day! Hugs!
@argylenigma yeah I feel terrible for August... I have a good friend there and I'm sure it's been tough on the community. I haven't suffered a loss so it's hard for me to comment on what would/would not be appropriate. I feel like June has had relatively few losses (at least among those that have reported).
I'm sitting in DS's darkened room practicing my program for work hoping DS falls asleep for a nap. At least I have a laptop instead of him on my lap unlike the good old days when he was a terrible napper as a baby. So many afternoons spent incapacitated in darkness. Let's hope this new baby is not like her brother in that respect.

I'm so sorry. That's how I felt-constant severe pain. Is yours on one side? Thankfully I have had my appendix out so I knew it wasn't that.
txmommy14, holy crap you've had a rough week. I'm glad that the baby was fine but wish they could have found the source. Is it possible that it might be a kidney stone or something? My sister gets kidney stones when she's pregnant so it's the first thing that came to mind. Whatever it is, I hope that it subsides soon. You're dealing with enough this week!
So we had a great day at DH's tournament and his team did really well. G was playing with everyone and seriously had a great time. When we got home he took a nap on the couch and woke himself up by projectile vomiting all over himself and our couch. He's gotten sick once more since then so I think we're dealing with another stomach bug. Word of advice, if you can avoid cleaning up half-digested banana from a child and a couch, please do. It's just as lovely as it sounds...
Now anxiously waiting for DH to get home so I can take a shower. I feel gross.

Yea, it is definitely on the right. Doctor says gallbladder hurts under the ribs, appendix I wouldn't be able to eat, and kidney stones don't really sound like my kind of pain. Honestly, the worrying that something is wrong is much worse than the pain. I know how frustrated you must be not getting any answers! I hope we both feel better after some rest.

I was wondering that. They would be able to tell that something was off from my urine or blood though, correct? When they did the sonogram, they were really only looking at the baby. I was hoping they would look more at my stomach and everything because I wasn't convinced it was pregnancy related. It was all over my uterus though and not just in one side or in a concentrated area of my stomach. I'm feeling a little bit better right now, I basically haven't gotten out of bed except to go to the bathroom, which has been a lot since I had two IV bags!
When the pain started yesterday, I was convinced it was because I was so sleep deprived from the day before (not sleeping all night after anatomy scan) and my digestive system and stomach were all out of whack. While maybe that maybe true, I knew after I took an Ambien and slept for nine hours that the severe pain really wasn't normal. We will see. I'm really praying that it doesn't return in full force.

Just to play devils advocate, was in a lot of pain before my appendix ruptured and I'm pretty sure I was able to eat. It was a very constant pain that only got worse on the lower right side though. Unfortunately, you have to have a CT scan for them to be able to confirm, and I know that would probably only be a last resort in pregnancy.

Ah, good to know! My pain has been relieved by finding certain comfortable positions and a warm compress, so I think I'm probably in the clear for that at least. Fingers crossed! Regarding what you said above about the kidney stones, when I was reading up on the different things it could be, it sounds like they may have to be testing blood and urine for stones specifically to diagnose. Did they mention it as a possibility? It also mentioned the pain can move around. Glad you are feeling a bit better!

Interesting. Well, I hope both of our mystery pains go away!
I have to work today, I wish I didn't but I have a deadline on Monday I'm not ready for. My OB confirmed that my annoying sniffling and sneezing is most likely pregnancy rhinitis & told me some meds I can try. I need to get to the drug store today.
Which meds did they suggest? I think I have this too. Zyrtec seems to help some but I'm still sniffling all day
Zyrtec or Benadryl, or saline spray or Nettie pot.
GOmamab15 I've had a cold for 3 weeks and I feel like it's getting worse. Glad to hear there's something to take while pregnant. I'm going to make an appointment this week... This is getting ridiculous. Neti pot doesn't work anymore

I hope you feel better soon. My doc said that since I just have nasal symptoms, only clear not colored or thick snot, and it's been like 5-6 weeks, it's not really a cold.
Your dog looks so sweet txmommy14!! As for the kidney stone stuff, I asked my sister and they were able to diagnose her each time by blood/urine tests so I would think they would have found something for you if that were the case. Are you feeling any better?
