txmommy14 I hope you're feeling better soon. You've had a rough few days and I'm hoping things start looking up really soon. Rest and take care of yourself.
vivela I hope you're feeling better to. Hopefully it's nothing serious and some test and relaxation get you feeling better too!
soultrane I hope your LO feels better soon. Puking is my absolute worst nightmare. I can take it when my kid pukes but then I spiral into an OMG I'm gonna get it phase. The only time she got a stomach bug so did I and I thought I was going to die....can handle pain and all types of sickness but not puking. Haha
Pretty lazy weekend for us. Little upset I was going to go to destination maternity and then found out it was closed. Glad I checked first but now there are like no places for me to go in person and I have to order stuff online and return. So frustrating!!
Your dog looks so sweet txmommy14!! As for the kidney stone stuff, I asked my sister and they were able to diagnose her each time by blood/urine tests so I would think they would have found something for you if that were the case. Are you feeling any better?
That's good to know! I've been laying in bed all day and am feeling a bit better, still taking the Tylonel 3. Taking ambien again tonight to ensure I sleep. I hate taking all these medications, but the doctors have told me to so I'm trusting it's safe for baby.
Date night was awesome. I broke 100 once out of the three games we bowled... And I won. We are really bad at bowling. Dinner was great. DS had fun with his friend, although bedtime isn't going well. He didn't nap today so with the excitement of a playmate, he is overtired and grumpy now. Oh well. It was worth it.
Just now catching up on randoms. Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry for those of you dealing with such severe pain!
Re: August losses. It is very sad to see so many losses among such a small group of people. As a PgAL, I can't decide how I think they'd feel if we reached out to them as a board with relatively speaking very few losses in our group. It may hurt a few feelings. Idk. But I do like knowing that we have so many people on our board who care about all others on this site. I'm sure August appreciates us caring about them.
AFM, I went back to my home town for my bff's baby shower today. It was lovely. I was due 2.5 weeks before her with the baby we lost, so her pregnancy has been really bittersweet for me. But today was such a good day, and I'm so thankful that we will still have kids so close in age.
I have a sore throat...boo. Off to Google whether cough drops are safe while pregnant.
nymama917 , thank you! And I'm with you that I'm always convinced I'm going to get sick afterward. I've been washing my hands obsessively tonight, and thankfully DH took over the clean-up duties once he got home so we'll see how this goes!
G seems to be feeling better now and has gone a whole hour without getting sick (**knocking on all the wood!**) so I'm hoping we're through the worst of it.
ETA: Dammit, he got sick again right after I posted.

I hope you manage to avoid getting it! I haven't vomited since the age of 9 and now I'm terrified to. I imagine it is going to be a sick kid that breaks my streak. Thanks for the thoughts ladies. I was in enough pain when DH got home from seeing some friends I asked him not to have any beers in case I decided to go to the emergency room. Then I tried a different position and the pain almost entirely disappeared. It's pretty much gone now if I don't walk around too much. I hope this means it was just a bad case of RLP. I'm heading to bed now and I'm hoping I can find a way to sleep that doesn't aggravate anything!
Yea, it is definitely on the right. Doctor says gallbladder hurts under the ribs, appendix I wouldn't be able to eat, and kidney stones don't really sound like my kind of pain. Honestly, the worrying that something is wrong is much worse than the pain. I know how frustrated you must be not getting any answers! I hope we both feel better after some rest.
Just to play devils advocate, was in a lot of pain before my appendix ruptured and I'm pretty sure I was able to eat. It was a very constant pain that only got worse on the lower right side though. Unfortunately, you have to have a CT scan for them to be able to confirm, and I know that would probably only be a last resort in pregnancy.
They could use ultrasound as well for appendicitis as long as the patient is not too overweight. Just an FYI.

Glad that you're feeling better! Maybe the baby was sitting on a nerve or something. I had something like that happen on Monday and the only thing that stopped the pain was getting up and walking. Hopefully it was just something like that and you found your relief!
Catching up, txmommy14 & vivela I hope your pain either goes away or can be identified and treated sooner rather than later.
soultrane I hope for no more puke. I'm so, so lucky that DD has never vomited. It's going to be a disaster when it happens.
mladerri - id get your "cold" checked out. Weren't you by salt water too? I have bad pregnancy congestion, but it's tolerable and Neti pot and elevation help.

For me, and I am underweight, they did an ultrasound to make sure it wasn't an ovarian cyst causing the pain but then told me they had to do a CT to see if my appendix was inflamed. That's interesting though, that would have been nice to just do u/s!!

You can often see appendicitis on ultrasound but it isn't as sensitive as a CT, so with a normal ultrasound most docs will want a CT to fully rule out appendicitis if they have a high enough level of suspicion. Also FYI appendicitis in pregnancy can have atypical symptoms (pain that's not always in the lower right), so it is definitely a good idea to be checked out if you're having severe abdominal pain no matter where it is. @txmommy your dog is adorable and I hope he's bringing you comfort. Glad to hear things are a bit better - hope they continue to improve!
I'm so sorry about your pain txmommy14 and vivela. I hope you both get some relief soon.
Sorry about the puking soultrane. I hope your DS feels better soon.
I spent the night on the couch with DS laying on me since it's the only way he would sleep. I think his HFM and impetigo are getting a little better, but he still has a fever. I think he'll have to stay home from daycare again tomorrow.
babyzebra, sorry he's still feeling crummy. DH is a wrestling coach so he deals with skin issues all the time. He's also a kindergarten teacher and got HFM last year from one of his students. He said that in addition to the prescription meds he got, coconut oil worked wonders for soothing his skin and taking away the itchiness. Hope your little guy starts to feel better soon!
G slept all night without getting sick and is munching on some cheerios at the moment. Praying that they stay put!
We had a campout in the living room too and while it sucked due to the reason, G was super cute about it and asked to build a fire since we were camping.

Good grief I hope you guys feel better soon! What pregnancy does to a body... But really I hope you get some relief today!
Last night DS was up so many times. He's really congested and kept waking up crying. I knew he needed medicine, so I gave him some and he chipmunked it and spit the entire dose back out. Anyway, after a long battle he took it and I ended up Sleeping in his room because he was getting up so much and only wanted me. And then DH got up with him so I could sleep in but I really didn't sleep in that long because I had to pee.
Also I'm sad I didn't wake up as a millionaire haha!

origamimommy I'm also sad I didn't wake up a millionaire lol!
Today is gross - dark, pouring with rain. I need to go clothes shopping to get an outfit for my big meetings this week, but I really really don't want to leave the house. Wahwah. That's my FWP for the day...
Oh goodness I am just catching up now... txmommy14 I'm so sorry that you are in so much pain! How scary!! Hopefully they will figure out what's wrong! You have had such a stressful week - Sending prayers your way!
vivela I'm so sorry you are hurting!! I have been experiencing the same pain you are describing. Two weeks ago I was throwing up with a fever and the doctors thought it could be appendicitis since RLP isn't supposed to be sustained. They did an ultrasound in which they couldn't even see the appendix and then an MRI which, even though again they didn't actually see the appendix, they did not see signs of inflammation so they ruled it out. Eventually I spoke to an OB who said it is very possible it is actually RLP. She also said that in pregnancy appendicitis often hurts around the belly button and then migrates to the right side. I hope you feel better soon and that the pain doesn't get worse! It is scary when you don't know what's going on.
It's 5 degrees out (feels like -13). I motivated myself to get to the gym. My real motivation was to get a break from whiny ds. Here's a google search I did this morning: how to get things done with a toddler. I feel like I'm just running after him picking up his mess and not getting anything done. Then I feel guilty for not playing with him. I got back on Thursday and my suitcases still aren't unpacked. When do you come home dh?

Oh my god the whining. Yesterday was a particularly whiny day here as well since DD decided to only nap 40 min all day. I don't ever get anything done. It's either keep my house clean or just give up and play in the mess. So that's what I do and then I try to straighten up after bed at least every couple days. Seems pointless when the second she's up she takes every single thing out again. Can't wait until she has an attention span long enough to play with one toy and understands the concept of putting things away
Woke up at 6 with some pain, but I readjusted and it faded. Nothing since so far! I told myself I'd do nothing but sit on the couch today to ensure I didn't tweak anything. But I have the memory and sense of a goldfish, so instead I cleaned the kitchen because I couldn't stand what a mess it was (DH is at work). No adverse affects so far, and I'm moving very, very slowly. I'm still obsessing slightly over appendicitis. But no pain, no nausea, and no temperature so I think it is time to take a break from stressing txmommy14 I hope you are feeling comfortable today! I'm sorry your week has been so awful, you deserve a break. soultrane Glad to hear DS is better and enjoyed his camping adventure
titania how awful for you! I'm glad it didn't end up being something really serious (though ending up in the hospital with vomiting and fever qualifies as serious). A lot of the "technical" sources like webmd were telling me that RLP was only a sharp, stabbing pain for a few seconds and anything other than that was something else. But then the OB said it sounded like RLP to him, and a lot of anecdotal stuff online like message boards and blog posts said the same. The fun part about pregnancy is how sometimes it feels like any symptom could mean disaster or nothing at all. "Spotting can mean these 10,000 different things, here is a list!"

seriously... There is no definitive answer cause every body is different during pregnancy, but it can be so frustrating! I'm glad you are feeling better today!
txmommy14 so sorry you're going through all this! Sending prayers that you can get some rest and not be in so much pain!
@orogamimommy I hate that! Kids have their moments and if she has a kid she should know that! It is embarrassing though when people are just staring. I have to admit before having a kid I used to think oh I wouldn't do this or that and now I get it. I just try to ignore it even though it's hard! Just remember it happens to most moms
I almost always do gymnastics with DD and DH goes and watches from the balcony. Well I did swim with her yesterday and I was feeling sore in my belly so i had him do it. Lesson learned....she's so much better behaved for me. She knows she can play him and I sat in the balcony giggling. There was another dad there in the same situation and that girl was playing him too...hahaha
Maybe I need to let him do more classes. It's not that he's not willing but I'm a doer and get bored easily so I usually volunteer and he's more laid back and would rather just watch anyway. He doesn't push her like I do so I prefer to do it but I probsbly need to get him more involved because I'm not getting any smaller! I want her to do just as well for both of us.

I feel the same way! We have such a tiling apartment and I feel like I can't keep up with the mess. I also feel like she loves DH more because he sits and plays and I clean behind them!
So there is a liquidation shop about 2 hours away that has a new double BOB jogging stroller for $299. Am I crazy for wanting to drive 2 hours for this awesome deal? It won't be our main stroller for the twins (we decided on city select for everyday use), but DH and I enjoy tailgating, outdoor festivals, hiking on dirt trails, and there are bike paths nearby too. I think the BOB would fare much better in those types of situations. So what say you guys? Should I pull the trigger? The savings are enticing!
