dogmama22 are the spectra pieces cheaper? I have not replaced parts on my pump aside from the white membranes and they're so expensive. I'm pretty sure the flanges are correct; I've heard that tip before. I can't get anything from hand expression. Never have been able to.
And yeah, I learned that 3-3.5 ounces is my normal and thankfully that's all she takes per bottle. I wish I had always known that was healthy; early on I was surrounded by pictures of women pumping much more and I freaked out that I wasn't pumping more. I'm glad I don't stress over that now - I only get upset when it dips to the 2.5!
They're a little more expensive, but last longer and work better so worth it IMO. Link:NeneSupply 5 Count Duckbill Valves. Finally reached my breaking point. Got T's crib ready, loved on him, sang him a song, and put him in. Timer going to remind me to comfort (only) every 5 minutes. I just can't hold him every single second off my day. Fx this doesn't get ugly.
Thumbs up in support. It's so hard to do that and amazing how slow time goes when they're crying. Hopefully it turns into a fast transition for you guys.
So how much are you all normally able to pump? The 2 days I worked last week I was really bummed with my pumping output. I could only get 4+ ounces between both boobs per pumping session. When I have been away from LO previously I was able to pump 6.5-7.5 ounces per pumping session and she seems to eat more than she used to (I think she used to do 2.5 ounces a few months back, now it's like 4). My first pumping session today though I was able to pump 7.5. But if we're feeding her 4 ounce bottles then I won't quite be able to keep up with that amount at this pace. I have a good freezer stash thankfully so I feel like I have plenty of time to figure it all out, but I have been really curious how often and how much other working moms are pumping.
Sorry I'm just babbling.
I only feed on one side at a time, so only pump one side at a time. I used to be able to get 4 to 6 ounces per pump, but now I'm lucky to get 2 to 3. I'm only getting about 7 to 8 ounces from all three pumps, and V eats about 11 or 12. That's with mothers milk tea 3-4 times a day.
And you're the one who gets more just pumping one side vs. two right?
budders I only feed one side at a time too, but I pump both sides so I don't have to do it as frequently. But with me just going back to work I've previously only had to pump one day at a time when I've had to randomly be away from LO, not an every day thing. So hopefully my supply doesn't change now that I'm pumping on the regular!
budders one day and I hope this day comes soon, V will be not sick. I hope he ends up with a really good immune system & never gets sick when he's in school.

MOTY award here. Left the house and made it all the way to daycare without the diaper bag. We keep bottles and diapers there, and normally formula, except he ran out 2 weeks ago and wasn't at daycare last week since MIL was here. So, daycare has some enfamil they're going to give him. I'm hoping he doesn't spit up all over or have a poopsplosion, since he doesn't have extra clothes there. He's only there for 2 hours max.
I think the recent call outs also invite anyone (catfishes included) an opportunity to take advantage of. Especially purple just registering 3 hours ago and there was a recent catfish names "yellow". Just throwing that out there.
How do you know who registered & when? Are they lurking now?
Re lurkers turned posters, it just sketches me out seeing how many guests are viewing :/ Demanda & littlebee crossed my mind, but would anyone be that determined? Yeesh...
That's actually one of the reasons why I registered. I had no idea until it was mentioned recently that the number of guests viewing was visible. When someone mentioned that it was, I realised some people might find that odd, so my conscience started bothering me. So here I am.

madymoiselle here is a big city in Canada and the average cost of a detached house is $1.052 million. It's also probably a shitty old house that needs another $200k in upgrades and repairs. A 1 bedroom condo will cost around $400k with $500/month in condo fees.
pbubblegum you're an Aussie right? How about I just guess based on what houses in my neighborhood go for (FYI I'm in an apartment not a house, hence why house hunting is fun to me.)... I'll say 750 grand.

Is this real life? My sister won't cooperate with the police regarding the accident (she wasn't in the car) and they just told my mom they'll plaster her face all over the news if she doesn't call them back/start cooperating. She still hasn't even called me! If her friend didn't call my mom we wouldn't even know that the kids were hurt to begin with. I'm glad I took my husbands name, I don't want this association.

Looking for a 3-4 bedroom that only needs minimal cosmetic work like new kitchen or floors. Fuck getting a new roof or plumbing. Location is important too. Leaning more to a preconstruction penthouse or townhouse.
pbubblegum if I remember rightly where you are (dunno if you moved back there), yes the housing market is just ridiculous. We even moved from the slightly smaller city to the south of that (where its still pretty crazy) out into the boonies. I love it, would probably never move back to the city. It's not everyone's cup of tea though!
The 6ix for life! Hah. H said he would divorce me if we had to commute.

@babybean9 where are the kids now? Are they safe? Will there be an investigation about the car seats? I remember you thinking about calling children's aid because of a history of neglect from your sister. Sorry if this is too much. Tell me to shut up if it is.
We just got back from toddler skate and DS started convincingly (ice) skating all by himself today! He didn't want to hold hands and wanted to skate to toys all by himself! Bursting momma moment right here!
Plus I somehow got wrangled in as the parent supervisor for the older kids today, had to sharpen up my own skating skills again!! But I did it!
erbear I also just had a disappointing pumping session. Do you find that after a while (like the weekend) of not pumping your output goes down for the first day or so?
I definitely do!! Idk if I'm not hydrating as much on the weekends as I do at work? But it's very disappointing Monday mornings:(
Shit. You guys have been busy today. I had like 5 minutes on a break between hearing to post on a couple of things but now I need to read this novel. Anything dramatic that can be reduced to Cliff Notes?
