My husband did the sound for that nationwide commercial. (Among a few others.)
We had a conversation a few days ago Me: So which commercials that you worked on will be in the super bowl? Him: There's a nationwide insurance one Me: Is it funny? Him: No. It's depressing. There's a dead boy. Me:.........
This seems a lot worse to me than that go daddy commercial everyone was up in arms about. I can't imagine what it would have been like to watch that commercial having lost a child.
My kid took a giant poop today. It ended up all over him and me and my face. We lost an outfit and a changing pad cover I. Had. Shit. On. My. Face.
Must be giant poop day. LO pooped everywhere this morning and on me (wooo work clothes too).
My doc appt was cancelled because my doctor is sick. I should stop being so stubborn and go in sooner than 3 weeks- but it was just a bad cold until recently.
I'm also not winning at work. Being sick for the longest + working full-time + LO with sinus and ear infection + multiple wakes in the night = not functioning well. It will be a miracle that I'm not fired. It's bad, guys.
I guess I'm surprised so many people are up in arms. We are a society of shock and awe. We thrive on it. And I think they address real issues that parents have and don't think it could ever happen to them. Plus with all the trouble NFL players have gotten into this year (AP, Ray Rice, etc) I'm not surprised that companies went a more serious route and used the platform of the Superbowl, knowing that millions of parents would be watching.
I wish I knew which commercials everyone was talking about, I didn't even watch the super bowl.
Basically it would have been worth it for Zoloft to buy the last ad spot available during the Super Bowl. They would have made bank. So so many depressing commercials this year.
I have a small bitch... What is up with those net eating things, where you put a banana in and LO can suck on it. It took me like 30 minutes to clean that fucking net! The idea is cool but I do not have time to meticulously clean after each use.
I have an ear infection that will NOT DIE. Antibiotics are not helping. Ugh.
Me too. Sometimes I get 5 seconds of clarity where I can hear again, but otherwise I'm all 'huh'? 'what'? 'I can't hear you' 'Did you say something'? Annoying.
My other one is that I'm so sick of family and close family friends calling LO, 'our baby'. Um..no, no he's not. I believe there were only 2 people (and a whole mess of doctors) involved in making 'our baby'.
Me:42 DH: 47 TTC on and off since 2005 July 2012: Infertility tests started at OB/Gyn, clear HSG & HSN Sept – Nov 2012: 3 Failed IUIs w/Clomid Break to move and find new docs Sept 2013: first appt with RE Nov / Dec 2013: IVF #1 with ICSI split Dec 6: 4 retrieved, 2 mature, 1 fertilized Dec 11: Transferred 1 (Day 5) Dec 30: HCG Beta 4980, BFP! Never. Using. Again.
I also wish introducing solids was more straightforward. If my husband had his way, she'd be eating only nacho cheese Doritos.

Yeah, we only ever use the net things for ice cubes (made with water or breast milk) when they are teething a lot. I did buy a silicone one this time...hoping it will be easier to clean, but it looks like a lot less can get through. I haven't used it yet.
I have another. Coworker do your due diligence before you assume it's your user's fault. Now you have included several teams and thrown a lot of egg around. Guess what? I found YOUR mistake in less than 5 minutes. You said you wasted over 16 hours looking into how your user had messed up. Do your job, let them do theirs.
Ok, mine is about work. One of the technicians at work got on the wrong side of a debt collector and is getting 25% of her wages garnished. She has little kids at home and is stressing. So my boss emails all of the pharmacists and asks us to basically give her $300 each so she can pay the collectors and keep her wages. It irritates me that my boss would solicit charity in this manner. I would have rather her ask the entire department (not just the pharmacists) and not put a recommended amount. Basically this technician got in debt for making poor choices. I don't want to get in a situation where I have to kick in a few hundred dollars every time a coworker gets into debt. None of the others are getting an infusion of cash. I kind of think she should have to pay us back (or pay it forward).

This... and add to it no voice to say "Huh" or "what" and you have me. I'm so over it.
Every once in a while when its time to pump at work I really really don't want to. Now is one of those times. I'm in here doing it though, *sigh* 6 months and 1 week down, 5 months 3 weeks to go.
Now that I say that and see that my LO is going to be a year old in 5 months and 3 weeks I got really sad.
I'm a teacher and every school around me had a snow day today except us. I've had an ongoing migraine for like a week. I'm bloated and feel gross and my students drove me NUTS today! And now I hafta go to the gym :\
LO napped in his crib yesterday so I thought we were onto something. Nope!! Congested baby that is crying every time I put him down. It's almost 10 am and I haven't even brushed my teeth. I just keep telling myself nursing burns calories.
Can teething cause congestion? Or are we dealing with two different things?
Oh and why can't solids be as straight forward as nursing or bottles? So many angles. Food before 1 is just for fun, BLW, feed your kid 8 tablespoons of purees a day, cereal is good, cereal is bad. This ftm is lost!
Weeklyplanner I'm really starting to believe we have the same kid! So much congestion over here. I cannot keep up with the boogers, saliva and spitup

That's really shitty of your boss to even ask. Then you're in a situation where if you're the only one who doesn't contribute then you're the asshole. That's a tough situation for your coworker to be in, no doubt, but I don't see how it's everyone's responsibility to help. I mean, if she talked about it at work and people offered, that would be one thing. It's like a go fund me thing. And $300 is a lot of money! It's not like $5 for a birthday gift or something like that!

Mesh feeders are def better for hard foods. The silicone feeder is much easier to clean with mushy stuff.

I think thats totally crazy and no ones place to ask you to give 300 of your own money!!!

Glad I am validated. I actually emailed my boss and told her about Go Fund Me and offered that as a solution if the coworker doesn't get the funds from the pharms. And the debt in question is from a C section that she had a few years ago. So why can't the baby daddy fork up some cash.
I have been visiting a friend in SC and it's awesome to be away from freezing weather and all that. I feel bad even bitching but it just needs to be out there. My friend's daughter is almost a year exactly older than my DD. We flew and brought her infant seat instead of convertible, which she absolutely hates. So anywhere we go down here DD screams. And every single time she starts to quiet down my friends daughter screams. Just screams. Every single time. Then DD starts crying again, a super sad scared cry. And I am almost freaking out. THEN my friend tells me she thinks she's just doing it because She is getting a reaction from her. It makes me really sad and also annoyed.
Today was long. The day did not go as I planned. H knows this and knows it stresses me out big time. Tonight u just a wanted to cuddle with him and hang out. Guess who's too busy with his computer games and who is laying in bed alone.
