I guess I needed to start this thread because I have so many bitches I spent 24 hours puking my guts out this weekend with food poisoning. H stepped up and did an awesome job with LO but the house is now a disaster. My period started just as I was on the tail end of the puking. It is only my second one and it is like PP bleeding. Between those two things my milk supply took a dive so LO had an extra MOTN feeding plus a few fussy wake ups. I have missed two work deadlines for this am. I really wanted to call in today but I am already taking Thursday off....so I am basically going to assign group projects and babysit my classes. And lastly, H has a huge work event Thursday and then leaves Saturday am to be out of the country for a week for work. I received 5 emails from him before I even got up with things he needs my "help" with regarding the event and trip.
I really was counting on my mom coming out to watch LO today for a few hours so I could really buckle down and get some work done, but the snow storm made that kind of impossible. Guess it's another day of no productivity.

LO napped in his crib yesterday so I thought we were onto something. Nope!! Congested baby that is crying every time I put him down. It's almost 10 am and I haven't even brushed my teeth. I just keep telling myself nursing burns calories.
Can teething cause congestion? Or are we dealing with two different things?
Oh and why can't solids be as straight forward as nursing or bottles? So many angles. Food before 1 is just for fun, BLW, feed your kid 8 tablespoons of purees a day, cereal is good, cereal is bad. This ftm is lost!
I'm going to preface this by saying DH is a great dad and stays home with all 3 kids on his days off (so Mondays and Tuesdays) so we only pay DCP 3 days a week.
He worked 12-15 hour days all weekend with the crazy snowstorm and I spent the weekend with all 3 kids alone. Which, is fine. Except I have the ability to clean, cook, do laundry, etc with all the kids there, and DH has an amazing ability to undo it all by noon on Mondays. I'm just annoyed that I have to run home and clean the house tomorrow before Reid's therapist comes at 5, and they are bringing in another therapist to evaluate him so it has to be extra sparkly.

It must be a special man talent. My H is very capable of watching the boys, but some days I fear they won't get fed while I'm gone because he is not so good at multitasking. And the house is always trashed when I return.
leroybrown mine is the same way! It makes me wonder how he can multitask at work because he sure as hell can't do it at home! Maybe that's why? Too much LEO multitasking at work because they have to, so there's no more left once they get home?

I am wondering this too weeklyplanner. LO isn't fussing, but she sounds congested. No runny nose, no fever, but I can tell she's stuffed up. Teething has brought epic amounts of drool for us. I have absolutely no idea if the two things are connected, but I am confused. I was debating keeping her home from daycare today but again, no runny nose, no fever, not fussing. Just breathing like an old man with a cold.

I'm a hormonal mess. I'm wondering if my period is coming back? BOO. I have no idea what to do for BC since I can't remember to take a pill these days. I liked Ortho-Tri cyclen. I felt normal on it.

Are you me? Is that grammatically correct? I don't even care.

Also!!! I don't know if it's already been mentioned elsewhere on A14 - but seriously, did anyone catch the Nationwide commercial during the game last night?
Listen, I'm all for 'the truth hurts' awareness campaigns, but how many people had to explain that commercial to young kids who were allowed to stay up for the game? We were at my SIL's last night and my niece just watched it with huge eyes and mouth agape.

Yes, teething can cause congestion. I took my first to the dr because she was so congested. He looked at her and said, "Yep, get used to it. She's going to be like this for the next 18 months."
My baby has decided that he needs to wake up to kick and scream at me approximately every 90 minutes. I have a very busy week this week. Not a good combo. Also, DH switched back to nightshift this week since he didn't get the promotion, so I am back to having zero help at night, not that he did much before. Great fucking timing. LO is lucky he is damn cute during the day.

I am so sorry to hear that your husband did not get the promotion that it sounded like he totally deserved. That really sucks.

Thanks. We were both pretty pissed about it, but thankfully there are other opportunities within his company that will be good for him too. I am just impatient, and if he starts making more money that's less stress on me to keep working, so mostly, I am being selfish about using a promotion for him as an excuse to get to stay home more. Plus, work politics, ugh.
Chrisse I know there is a lot of controversy About that commercial but I have to say if the kids are asking questions it's a good thing . I know it's morbid and scary but it's good to raise awareness for both kids and adults.

My bitch: Every. Single. Weekend. DH "does" his work laundry... Washes. Dries. Then that's it! He leaves everything in the dryer! I've even left it there to see when he'll take it out and put it away, days went by and he just goes over in the morning and grabs what he needs FROM the dryer!! What the deuce

I agree the questions in and of themselves aren't a bad thing, but there's a time and a place. Or a little head's up would have been nice...we had all these previews of Budweiser commercials, etc, why couldn't there have been a "BTW, the Nationwide commercial is going to want to make you curl up in a corner and cry" preview/warning/rumor.

Agree. Speaking of the Budweiser commercial. It did make me want to curl up in a corner and cry. It was great

I had to Google the commercial. Yes, that should include a warning.
