I got my tush to the gym this morning. My back is hurting pretty bad the last few days so I can only walk for a bit and do upper body weights. I also did some yoga stretches which felt great. No big plans for us this weekend, but I'm sure we'll find something fun to do.
I just got done with my elective ultrasound. The place was really nice and relaxing. Most importantly, the baby was moving around in there with a nice heartbeat! This really helped curb some anxiety I've been having. Of course, I started crying happy tears.
We are relaxing this morning to prepare for wedding events tonight. I am petrified of people posting pics on Facebook because I am not out yet. There are a few people I still want to tell myself do to job options.
We're closing in on 2 feet of snow and it's still going strong. We measured 20 inches at the front and back door and we had 22 inches packed perfectly against the garage door when we opened it.
Just took some cinnamon rolls out of the oven and sipping on some hot chocolate!
babyzebra, congrats! I'm glad it went well and that baby girl was cooperative during the scan.
Is anyone else on the East Coast sad that they can't drink during this blizzard? I could really use a glass of wine this weekend as I sit in the house and ride out the storm. During snow storms DH and I would always stock up on wine and cheese and binge watch TV shows. I go for weeks and don't miss wine, but I miss it today.

Sigh, yes. Usually snowy days are whiskey hot chocolate days. Ingredients: Go outside and get freezing and wet doing something miserable like shoveling. Combine milk, hot chocolate mix, whiskey, cayenne pepper, cinnamon, and maple syrup. Drink. Repeat as necessary.
The snow seems to have settled down south of us. It is falling, but it hasn't even covered the grass yet. I'm thinking 6-10 inches for our area is not actually going to happen. Totally fine by me! Not a snow fan.
babyzebra, congratulations on finding out you are having a girl!
vivela, that drink sounds amazing. We don't get snow here but I'm sure that would be just as delicious during a nice rain storm, will remember for next winter. My mental list of all of the drinks I'd like to consume starting summer time continues to grow.
I'm eating a sourdough croissant and drinking coffee while DS watches Mickey Mouse. No real plans here either, rain off and on today so probably just grocery shopping, stairmaster and get out and do something tomorrow
People in PAIF have been talking about champagne these past couple of days. I had a dream about it last night. I was guzzling it....sigh, one day we will meet again booze.

Depending on rain I may take DS to the local zoo. DH has to work. Tomorrow is church and maybe test driving a new car or moving office stuff upstairs and baby stuff downstairs.

Not much going on here today. I'm in Portland (OR) so no blizzard for me. We found out yesterday that we are having another boy so my brain has gone into nesting and planning overdrive. My d14 LO is about to go down for a nap and I plan on making a little registry (mostly for discount coupons on things we will be buying anyway like diapers, etc) and perusing etsy/pinterest for color schemes. My SIL is coming over tomorrow to help (aka take over completely) painting my dining room so I'm excited to get that done.

And we're having a GIRL!!
Ahhhhhhh yay! So fun to have such similar stories- boys around the same time, same story with the loss, then a girl! Big congrats!

Just got home from hosting a baby shower-it went really well, but I'm exhausted!! We did donut skewers and I seriously think I ate two dozen donut holes in addition to everything else. Delicious. No snow here in Texas, we've had the most mild winter ever!

DS and I met a college friend for coffee/smoothies/hot chocolate this morning. Then we came home and he just napped for about an hour and a half. I'm working on laundry, cleaning, and putting together our new dining room set.
This weekend we may attempt to play outside in the afternoons if it warms up. DS loves being outside and the dog has been cooped up in the house for the last month because it's been so cold.
I decided to let dh and da spend the late morning together and I went to visit some friends. One just had a baby and I got to rock the 2 week old to sleep she was precious. Then I went to Michaels and got antique white paint and painted some goodwill frames. I'm going to do a collage of unique frames in our bedroom. Am I nesting? Dh has decided to take ds to a hockey game tonight. Ds is stoked and I'm glad they'll have some bonding time. pdxlaurens congrats on baby boy! babyzebra congrats on baby girl!

I know, we have really similar stories! This is really a shock to me (and even more so DH), so I've just started looking at baby girl clothes. This is going to be fun for us both!
Spoke too soon. Snow has arrived with a vengeance. My gender reveal dinner is tonight, so my Mom, her best friend, my sister and her fiance are with the cake, and we are stuck at our house, my grandmother is stuck at her house, and my Dad is stuck in another state because his flight was cancelled. We decided to do it anyway and we are all just going to skype in. My other two siblings are in a different state and a different country respectively - so they were already skyping. It's going to be a very 21st century party! My sister is my designated cake cutter. I'd be more upset if DH and I hadn't already found out, but as it is I just think it's funny
