I've been up since 3:30 with really bad cramps. With the placenta previa and issues they're checking on with the baby next week, and being 2 weeks from viability day, my PGAL brain is sky high. I don't mjnd being pregnant, but I can't wait for this pregnancy to be over so I can stop worrying about losing her.
Phew. Driving 3 hours to Oklahoma in a few hours for a baby shower, then turning around and driving 3 hours home! Should be interesting.
Oh, and it's 75 and sunny here. I could have worn shorts yesterday.

txmommy14 sounds like a long day! Hope the driving isn't to bad.
PSA: Loft is having 40% off sale today, including maternity. They have the CUTEST pair of scalloped shorts on sale that I may snag for a little babymoon come April I do wish they came in an off white or beige color though.
txmommy14 I'm so sorry about the cramps! I hope they start to resolve soon. I'll be thinking about you. I hope you have a good time at the baby shower!

txmommy14 good luck with that drive! And I hope you feel better too.
mymilkshake ooooooh I'm on a maternity clothes shopping binge. Will have to check out Loft.
Our news: DH and I are planning a babymoon! It's crazy last-minute but we're going to spend next week hiking in Big Bend National Park (Texas). I just bought flights. We didn't know if DH could get the time off but he was approved yesterday so yay! We'll also spend a day in Marfa, TX and see the famous Marfa Prada. (We're nerds and really into eccentric art installations...).
We had originally planned to go to the Virgin Islands but that plan got nixed thanks to Zika virus.
I keep thinking about what randoms I have to post. I'm just a big ball of stress right now, so all my stuff is very Debbie downer.
On the bright side, I am going to the mall today with some family. I think I will try to buy baby girl some of those obnoxiously big headbands. That will make me feel better!
I took the girls to the pool last night. A kid, about 4, had to be rescued by the life guard because mom was too busy on the phone (and in street clothes). The gym rules state that for kids who can't swim the length of the pool a parent must be within 10 feet. This drives me crazy. If you don't want to get in the pool do not bring your kid swimming.
Then my 4 year old screamed all night long because her ear hurt. Magically it was fine this morning. Probably just a case of swimmers ear.

Ugh. I'm a pretty laid back parent about everything, but I kind of have a fear about pools and my kid drowning in a pool with all the things you see in the news. That's sad, and shame on that Mom! So sorry about your daughter and lack of sleep, glad she's feeling better!

So sorry, feel free to vent and let it out!! And yes, buying baby girl some stuff will surely help with stress!!
I'm sorry txmommy14! 75 degrees sounds like heaven right now! Hope the car ride goes quickly. frecklesnbrains that sounds like a great trip and you'll be so happy you had that time and memory together.
I'm hosting a mom and kids brunch this morning for some friends. Ds usually wakes up at 5:30/6 and he slept in till 7:45! I wish I had too but I got a lot of food prep done. Dh comes home tonight and I'm surprising him with a date night tomorrow so I'm excited for this weekend.

So fun!!! Although hiking sounds very unrelaxing to me, but I'm not super outdoorsy. How far along will you be when you go? You won't regret it!

Yes, the weather is heavenly. We went to the park twice and played outside half the day yesterday!! Sounds like you have a great weekend planned, and yay for DS sleeping late!!! That always feel like such a victory!

Ugh, I'm sorry you're feeling poorly. I hate PgAL brain, it makes me insane. With all the spotting issues I've had, I'm right there with you. I wish I could just fast forward to June for all of us.

I'll be 23 weeks. So far hiking has been fine on my body and it's sort of the major way I'm staying fit these days since jogging has become uncomfortable (we've done 6-8mi hikes the past 3 weekends in a row), so I wanted to go before I get too huge in case that starts to get uncomfortable. We're actually big backpackers, but I think we'll stick to day hikes on this trip partially because I don't feel like carrying a 35lb pack while pregnant and also because overnight lows are expected in the high 20s, which is a bit below my comfort zone for camping. We have a bucket list of National Parks we want to hike/backpack, and in February Big Bend is the warmest of all of them (with the exception of the Virgin Islands National Park, alas).
I keep on finding myself in your home state! It's funny, I was just remarking to DH that until 2 years ago I'd never been to Texas, but this will be my fourth trip to the state in two years (we went to Austin once, Dallas twice, and now this trip).

I don't understand this. At DS's 3 year check up his pedi even said the most important things for him to learn right now were street safety and water safety. They could literally die. Those things are very important and I judge very little, but I'm judging that.
txmommy14 I hope you're feeling better! I'm sure it's so hard!

I'm trying to catch up after being MIA for a week. My new job has been crazy but good. Hope all of you ladies are doing better.
Flair Underwood I know this may be old news, but I hope you're doing better! We were told DS was a girl so when we found out he was a boy, I freaked out. I had originally been hoping for a boy, but felt like I bonded with this baby girl and then this boy felt so foreign to me, so I can totally understand where you're coming from. And boys are so great! The other day, DH kept telling DS to tell me that my feet were stinky. DS kept saying, "Your feet are stinky daddy. Stop saying that to my mommy! Mommy don't worry, I'll protect you!" So sweet! I know it's hard now but you will love having a little boy!

We were supposed to go see ice castles today. For which we had to buy tickets. And of course DD is sick with a stomach bug and it's snowing. Debating if we should just try to go anyway? She's really clingy so I'm thinking she might be fine in the carrier and it might be a good distraction. Or else she'll have a total meltdown.. Ugh why did I agree to do something that requires buying tickets in advance?
mymilkshake, guess you will just have to eat donuts more often, how awful!
DH and DS made waffles this morning and DS brought mine to me in bed so that was nice. Last night we had BLTA salads for dinner and I think I ate my entire allotment of bacon for the rest of this pregnancy.
I've been sleeping terribly recently, I've been waking up for no reason around 3am and having a lot of trouble falling back to sleep or if it's not my insomnia it's DS waking up.
Today I am cleaning both of the girls rooms to prepare to move them into one room. My goodness we have so many clothes & stuffed animals. I will NEVER give a child a stuffed animal again. They don't even play with them. We also have tons and of clothes that never get worn because they just aren't our style. I will always give gift receipts!
csat I love tit the bacon and breakfast in bed, not the insomnia. I've been able to fall back asleep if I watch/listen to TV shows on my iPad, which I never did before getting pregnant but it really helps my mind not to go anywhere else. Although if it's DS waking you up that won't help. Hope you sleep well tonight.
Thanks GOmamab15, it's like my body is stuck on a horrible sleep cycle and I haven't been able to reset it. Last night at 4am I was thinking of maybe getting up and trying to read or something but listening to something on my phone, podcast or something is a good idea.
shoogars, stuffed animals can easily get overwhelming. DS hasn't been given too many stuffed animals over the years numbers wise but has been given 3 GIANT ones (a dog, a monkey and a moose) which together take up the space of at least 25 regular size animals. Never gift a child a giant stuffed animal unless you really dislike the parents.

We've spent an hour outside already, gotten my car washed, started some laundry, and am preparing for an afternoon outside and a walk with our dog. It's 40*F today and hasn't been that warm since November. I wish I had more energy because it's beautiful outside today!!

The dealer is working to find the car we want locally so we can get it tomorrow but we aren't in a rush so id be fine with next weeks delivery. And our new furniture was delivered today! DH had To go to work though so that's a big bummer. Here's the new formal living room.

We went and looked at the house today! I still can't believe this may actually be happening! As some of you may remember just a couple weeks ago I wrote about how depressed I have been being shoved into such a small space and feeling like we would never get out. I feel like this may just be our chance!! So anyway is it my dream home? No. Does it have potential? TONS! The kitchen is brand new and has lots of space which I love! The backyard is HUGE! we have always wanted a big veggie garden and a chicken coupe and there is more than enough room for both! There are things that need work but I'm referring to it as a liveable flip (nothing needs to be fixed to move in). So now we cross our fingers and discuss options with the current owner!
