Baby will have to sleep in our room since we only have one bedroom. But even if we had more rooms we would still room share.
I honestly don't know of anyone that have not room shared even if they have plenty if bedrooms. I guess this one of the cultural differences I've noticed with having babies in Sweden (were I am) and North America. I know my DH's family in Canada think we are crazy for planning this but to me it's just normal.
We hope to be able to stay in this apartment until baby is 1 - 1.5 years. Seems reasonable based on what friends and family have done but if it doesn't work we will obviously look for a new place sooner.
We also live in a 1br and we are planning to stay for about a year after the babies are born.
redhead610, how wonderful your grandmother was able to premake a blanket. What a great idea to use it for newborn pictures, I was thinking of doing the same thing!
We're also in a 3br, but we really need to keep the third room an office. So we'll be trying to figure out how to get our two kids to sleep in the same room. Should be fun!
This was our exact situation when DS was born. My kids did wonderful sharing a room. They rarely sold each other up even with DS getting up at night to eat. The only thing was teaching DD to play in the living room while DS napped during the day.
Don't worry - I had two different urologists say "Peeing that much at night is normal."
::rage::
I mean yeah, normal when you are 70 years old! What about your ob/gyn? My ob does all these bladder surgeries and says we can do something about the freq urination after I'm for sure done having kids. I don't pee that often at night though.

My problems are pain and volume. The urologists just say I have interstitial cystitis, which only explains the pain. I got tired of arguing.
In my opinion, the problems stem from a kidney problem that has yet to be fully diagnosed. The stones I had were not regular kidney stones - they were made through a different mechanism and due to a kidney malformation (seen on CT, not serious). I'll have to find the energy to restart the fight, but until then, I'm a master night pee-er.

joy, I also tend to pee a lot at night. When Not pregnant at least twice, but I have been going way more now, up to 6 times per night. My issue is it takes me forever to fall back asleep. I then I'm up for so long I need to pee again before going back to sleep. It seems that after some nights with unisom, I am been able to go back to sleep more quickly and am now only going about 3 or 4 times a night. Also I stopped sleeping on my stomach, so it lessens the pressure. I honestly hadn't given much thought to this not being normal... I also try not to drink much before bed, but I tend to get thirsty in the middle of the night and have a sip each time I'm up. It's a terrible cycle.
redhead610 - when I have trouble falling back asleep, I put a podcast on my phone. The soft talking gives my brain something to focus on (as opposed to my head's thoughts) and I nod off before the end. I prefer my normal podcasts, but I did use some podcasts of children's stories for awhile, too!
Tell me again it's normal to be exhausted. Tell me again that doing an hour of chores is exhausting. Tell me that dry heaving after doing laundry is normal.
Most importantly tell me it won't be like this forever.
Don't tell me about how much more tired I'll be when the nugget is born, please.

All those things are normal and it wont be like this forever!
I feel suuuper shitty tonight. I was starving all day (but continuously eating) but energetic and otherwise felt good. I even cleaned the bathroom! Then H and I went to a movie and by the end of the movie I started feeling sick. Since then I've been nauseous, bloated, burping, exhausted but the reflux is terrible so I can't lay down. I finally managed to get myself into bed propped up on a gigantic pile of pillows. All I've eaten in the last 6 hours is a milkshake and I'm either going to wake up starving or wake up to puke. Or both.
I've noticed that my symptoms are coming much less frequently now,but when they hit they hit hard.
steph, good luck today. I had that scare this summer and it was awful. Everthing was fine, thank god. I hope so much that is the case with you too! Keep us updated! Hugs!
