I bought a few outfits and airplane bedding from Pottery Barn Kids that matches the color of his room perfectly. I have next week off and may ask MIL if she wants to go with me to get the stroller and crib (she is buying). If money was no object I would just go ahead and buy everything we needed now just to have it done.

What was the last thing that you bought for LO? I'm setting up the nursery and it's so much fun. The 2nd crib is getting delivered this sat, and I've ordered fabric to make two crib skirts. Oh and our crib mattress was delivered yesterday. I have a Pinterest board with a bunch of stuff I'm going to order from etsy hopefully this weekend.
What are you really hoping to get? We have 2 car seats and 3 bases (the 4th that we have is expired - gifted by a friend), really don't want to shell out $80 for a new base so hoping I can find a good one used. Gotta get on that.
If money wasn't a concern, what would be your big splurge? I'd buy a new dresser and side table for our nursery. We have some that work great but just not loving how they look in the room.

I am starting to pick up one or two things here and there so I don't have to do a major splurge. I've gotten my diaper bag, a new crib sheet, a new blanket and a small number of NB and 0-3 size clothes and zip-up jammies (all on sale on consignment).
My next purchase has to be a decent dresser so we can start over hauling the room. The next 18 weeks are going to FLY by.
They really do! I bought another set just to compare colors but am going to return it and keep the planes one. Our local store closed so I have to drive an hour away to return it, and I'm sure I'll buy some other stuff while I'm there- maybe another sheet or two.
What was the last thing that you bought for LO? The last thing I bought WAS our big splurge, but with twins, I think it will be worth every penny. Plus, it was 20% off, and the City Select doesn't go on sale all that often.
What are you really hoping to get? I really hope we get the glider and ottoman we registered for. It is soooo comfy and I love the look, too.
If money wasn't a concern, what would be your big splurge? Well, like I said, the City Select double was our big splurge. I also bought the car seat adapters, so we're good to go on that front. I suppose a 3-row SUV would be nice for family trips with all four of us plus the dog (and stuff!), but that will have to wait.

pbandj714, where did you go glider shopping? The thing I most want is a comfy glider.
I have purchased things! We got a city select stroller off Craigslist for 100 bucks. It's not in perfect condition but I'm really happy with it and I hope it'll last as long as we need it to. I got the crib, but it's still not set up. Need to get those clouds on the nursery walls first.

We just went to Babies R Us. They had a bunch of them in the store that you could try out. And there was a wide variety as far as price range, too, from the cheaper wood framed ones with a microfiber cushion to the more "furniture"-like ones that are cushy and amazing. That was DH's favorite part of the registry process.
Oh! Cribs! We also have those. I LURVE them so much. We won't set them up until we paint the nursery, but I'm so excited about them! I also spent a total of $75 of our money on them (2 cribs, 2 toddler rails, and 2 foam mattresses) thanks to sales and lots of gift cards from Christmas/credit card rewards.

If anyone is having trouble deciding on a glider/rocking chair/etc... I'm sure I've said this before, but my favorite splurge with DD was a la-z-boy rocking recliner. No extra ottoman to get in the way or trip over, you can recline it all the way when you feel more comfortable sleeping in their room when their sick, super cozy and roomy for story time and reading... By far the best use of money I think I've ever spent.

We have purchased bedding, diapers, and a couple of onesies with baby legs. I also purchased my spluge item which was wall art from etsy. We have almost everything saved from DS so there aren't really any big items to buy. We have a giant box of wipes still as DS PTd faster than expected. We will need to buy bottles and a baby bath and I'll get another breast pump through insurance.
Oh and for a chair, we used the Ikea Poang. It was cheap, small, and comfortable and worked well. It is also more multi-purpose than a glider and we'll be using it again.
ETA: The big item we need to rebuy is a video monitor as we donated ours when DS was 3 and we stopped using it.
Not really, more of a color scheme. The walls are almost white (super light shade of blue... Wish they were a bit darker!) and we are reusing the curtains already in the room.
So I am going to play off the golds, corals and blues from the curtains. Plus buy a large pallet art piece from etsy and make some bookshelves out of old wood.
So far, since finding out that I'm pregnant, I've only bought a Janie & Jack onesie, it was at the goodwill for $3 and practically new.
This week I've been wanting to buy more. I keep thinking we have nearly everything we need with our hand-me-downs but looking at "registry check lists" there are a ton of things we could get, not sure that they're exactly necessary.
Splurge purchase would be an expensive car, new big house in the country.

The last thing I bought was a Tula carrier. DS keeps calling the baby 'dinosaur' so I bought the new tulasaurus.
I really want a new house. We're working on it now, but DS1 starts K next year (OMG!) and I'd like to close in the spring and have the nursery ready for the baby.
If money were no object, I'd buy an insanely expensive glider, a new car (I have a highlander that's only 4 years old but if money's no object, I'd love a really nice murano). Or I'd stay at home for a year or two!
We saved nothing from DS1 so we have to buy everything. We already have a car seat, two screen monitor, clothes (lots of dinosaur themed clothes from our friends!), bottles, and a bassinet. We still need a swing, all of our furniture, and other random stuff.
MIL offered to buy our furniture but we're kind of holding until we know where we're going to live. Fingers crossed we get to move into our forever (or at least our a while) home by May!
Nothing yet. We have most of the big items and clothes from DS1. I do plan on splurging on a carrier. I also want a wrap. I don't plan on getting a double stroller so I will be spending money on babywearing options instead.
I just started putting together a list this morning: - second camera for monitor - NB diapers - carrier and wrap - pump (covered by insurance) - swing and bouncey seat (will try to borrow from family again) - dresser that will double as a changing table - noise machine
Oh! Cribs! We also have those. I LURVE them so much. We won't set them up until we paint the nursery, but I'm so excited about them! I am also a huge fan of PBK bedding-it's always SO CUTE! Usually you can find sales and get sheets and stuff for good prices.
I have bought quite a few things over time. I like to celebrate a good appointment or milestone by buying something off my Amazon list, haha! Here are some things I've bought: -2nd camera for monitor -A few things off Easy: adorable paci clips, headbands -Some new pacis -Lovies (2, my DS has 3 identical ones and is obsessed) -Diaper bag (the things I'm MOST excited about-waiting to use it until I pack it for the hospital!) -Going home outfit off Etsy (I know this is ridiculous, but I couldn't help myself: www.etsy.com/listing/261257383/baby-newborn-take-home-outfit-mint?ref=shop_home_feat_2
We still need a double stroller, clothes (don't have any girl clothes), a carrier, diapers, and lots of little things. I love Amazon Prime 2-day shipping-I'll just buy things off my list all at once near the end if needed.
I also have a baby book for this baby and some adorable watercolor cards to take pictures of milestones (like the stickers). I got those for Christmas.

I highly recommend getting a glider/rocker if you are able to make it work. We got ours at BRU for about $250-we still sit in it every single night with DS and read to him. We don't have the ottoman or anything, but the chair has been so useful. It's part of his nightly routine and we love it!
I am SO excited about it! Every time I carry my big bottomless purse in anywhere now (I really don't need a diaper bag for just DS anymore) I get excited about wearing the backpack, haha!

The last couple of weeks I've been tempted to buy all the things.
I've bought a new woven wrap (and have had fun breaking it in with DD). I also just spent about $100 on cloth diapers from a friend who was destashing. In the meantime at least I won't have to wash daycare diapers daily anymore!
We need to get a rocking chair/glider, we never got one with DD.
We still have most stuff from DD, a friend said she'd lend us a halo bassinet and swing. And she said she'd loan us their infant car seat.
I've bought a few clothing items. A few sleepers and onsies.
I need to buy a few things: Infant car seat Diaper bag Bouncy chair Possibly a Bumbo chair Exersaucer
I'm hoping to borrow or buy used for some of the things since it's our last. I may be able to borrow a bouncy chair and saucer, so that would be awesome.
I would like to buy a Tula carrier, but they are a little (a lot) out of my price range. I'm going to a baby wearing group on Wednesday and I'm going to try out a few carriers and wraps.
I'm shocked at how prepared some of y'all are. Holy moly.
The baby's room still looks like a (painted) storage facility. With it being our second, we have a lot of stuff... But now I know what was annoying and didn't work so I'm trying to buy solutions to those problems. Specifically for this baby we've purchased: 2 onesies One piece of art for nursery A (used, from a friend) car seat bc the brand we had for dd1 won't fit in our nanny's car. A halo bassinet swivel sleeper (used, from a friend) bc the pack n play took up way too much space in our master bedroom last time - and we love having the baby in our room until at least 4-5 months. A (used) mamaroo swing bc the snug a bunny swing we used for DD1 was so massive.
My lists of must buy/haves before this baby comes is pretty short: Crib Crib mattress Mattress protectors Sheet Crib skirt Changing pad cover Dresser Sound machine Baby shampoos/lotions/nail clippers A new rectal thermometer A closet organization system
I splurged in a huge way for a pbk wingback rocker when I was pg with dd1. I don't love the color in dd2 room, and it's really huge for her (smaller) room. I REALLY want to buy something new, but I can't stomach not using that rocker again. sigh.
