Dear Girl Scouts: Please go back to the old cookie size and the old box size. K? Thnx.
Also, they all taste so different to me. Mostly the thin mints and peanut butter pattie ones. Wtf? Go back to the old recipe! If I'm gonna indulge in the calories they better be good!

The gluten free toffeetastics are actually really good. They are $1 more per box though....
Just wanted to pop in and say hi to everyone and I missed you. I've been busy the last few months and then the bump blew up. I tried just being on FB but it just wasn't the same.
cagoldi I made those cornbread hot dog muffins and they were really crumbly. Mara would pick them up to take a bite and it would crumble in her hand. What am I doing wrong?
It sounds like a liquid/dry ratio problem.
This, or was it an exceptionally dry day when you made them? We get a condition here known as The Santa Ana winds; they're hot, super dry gusts. I don't bother baking on those days, nor will I make any fresh pasta because it will practically turn to dust.
First time I've checked in all day. Insanity at work that I can't update because I don't even know where to begin. It's been busy, let's just say that.
Guster FX everything is okay. I'm sure Thursday feels like forever away right now.
@mx2 Good luck tomorrow!
JoeLies how do you feel the interview went for you?
Add us to the needs a new car club. Except Pete is refusing to buy one. The Saturn keeps having problems and I am over it; I told him not to sink a dime into that thing. So, his dad is loaning us one of his cars while we shop around. He said not to worry about giving it back until the end of the year, so I'm sure Pete will wait and just squirrel away money so we can pay cash or finance only a small amount. It won't be a bigger car though. We'll probably end up with a Prius a Camry.
Aand my interviews were EXHAUSTING. I had about 4 hours of them with 6 people, plus lunch with the woman I originally interviewed with. She's nice but so dull, and VERY serious.
To the point: I felt pretty good about a few of my interviews, but the interview I was most nervous about - with the head of US Sales and the overall head of US - was tough. This role is a big step up from where I'm at and I don't think I was quite giving them what they were looking for. The role has internal components - that everyone feels comfortable about me handling - and external components, which is where it gets tough. They don't seem to really have a shared idea of what they want, honestly. In a couple of my interviews, my ideas were incredibly well received. But the two bigwigs seemed to want more or... something? I don't know, they were kind of all over the place and they talked so much themselves. And at times, I felt like they were making this role more of an exec position, which it's not actually. It was pretty overwhelming, especially seeing as I'm naturally quite introverted.
ANYHOW they obviously saw something in me that they liked, because they asked me to think about it and send them a pitch and a list of 4-5 action points I'd take if given this role to basically create a reputation for us in our marketplace. My gut feeling is that I'm not getting this position, unless I come up with some sort of miracle approach (I have ideas but I don't think they're groundbreaking. Good, but nothing amazingly new). BUT I think this trip is giving me more visibility within the company and I think it could potentially be good for me, if they'd offer me opportunities that don't require relocating. Because I am not moving across the country for a lateral move.
So I'm not entirely sure how I feel, aside for tired. I'm kind of just looking forward to a day without being grilled non-stop, and getting home to DH and C.

JoeLies don't be so hard on yourself. You will never mesh with every personality when you have interviews with that many people. It sounds like they've really noticed you and so much good can come out of this. Fingers crossed!
Oh yeah, we had A's pediatric dental visit today. They showed me how to brush his teeth and applied a fluoride varnish. A freaked out completely. Screamed and cried so hard when the dentist was brushing that he had to stop numerous times in just the few minutes it took because A was about to vomit. It was kind of sad that he got really worked up but the dentist did great with him. When he told us there were no cavities A started clapping and blowing kisses to him and the girls in the office.
His teeth were bothering him tonight (confirmed he is working on 4 more molars) so I asked Pete to give him some teething tabs. He took them and walked into the living and then I heard A screaming bloody murder and Pete sighing in frustration. I went in to see what was going on and Pete was trying to force feed him the tabs. Guess I didn't realize he wasn't aware he could just put some in his hand, offer, and A will gladly take them.
