I can't find who posted about the Dunkin Donuts but damn you woman the craving is real! And I'm allergic to wheat so the craving is also really really hard to satisfy!

I usually don't participate in FFFC because I know they tend to get feisty. Nothing wrong with that, just not always my cup of tea. So if you don't see me here every Friday that's why.
Team screen time with moderation here. DS is 12 months and dang he is so cute when he hears that Daniel Tiger theme song!
Awwww! So cute The only way I can change DSs diaper lately is if he's standing at the couch watching his favourite theme song, leaving me 1min 54secs to get the job done
@holachica, I'd just feel guilty about getting the cleaning lady because I'm perfectly able to clean my house, especially given I was laid off. We are also cutting back on unnecessary expenses like landscaping and whatnot (just because it's the smart thing to do when you are laid off and pregnant). I'm not working but am still bringing in money. Still, I feel bad because DH really hates to cut the lawn but we're not paying anyone to do it...DH is doing it because of me getting laid off and cutting back on expenses.
But actually, this thread got me telling him what I was contemplating and he laughed at me and told me to call the cleaning lady. We used to have her come once a month for a deep clean, and that's the part I hate doing and DH just doesn't do it...the solution when we both worked was to get a housecleaner, now I feel like it should be my job (in addition to looking/networking for a new job).
I'll probably end up cleaning it myself anyway because I'd feel too guilty about being so lazy.

An excellent point. I'm from between two worlds. My last BMB's FFFCs are always just funny things, and on the other hand I'm used to Parenting/GKUs totally flameable confessions. Today has somehow gone wrong at the crossroads.

Team Screentime...
When DS was 4 months old he was in the PICU with RSV... after that we had to do nebulizers multiple times a day... there came a point when he wouldn't sit still and daddy doing silly dances wouldn't work.
We do limit screen time and try to pick educational shows, stick to PBS and Tumbleleaf/Creative Galaxy on Amazon prime
@holachica, DH asked me before Valentine's Day what I wanted for Valentine's I told him a good houseclean. I got flowers instead. Le Sigh.
Maybe he'll get the hint for my birthday.
I tend to let things go to shit and then clean because I like the feeling of the major difference I've made by cleaning up. But, I should probably try this one thing a day thing. Our house is bigger now and it can be a little overwhelming.

DS has RSV when he was 3 months old. Luckily, we avoided PICU. He has asthma though and gets nebulizer twice a day, every day and rescue nebs as needed in between. They're pretty normal for him as this point but we've def used the iPad to distract on occasions.
DD does not know what a screen is. She thinks the black thing in the corner only plays football on very very rare occasions. We gave up cable a few years ago and it was an awesome decision. BUT....I will never judge others for their screen time practices.
Team bring in a cleaner. We have one come bi-weekly and it does a lot for my mental sanity and happiness. Just not enough hours in the day between work and DD to keep up with it all.
Team joint accounts.
Team turned DD from RF prior to 2 yrs old. ::ducks head::
FFFC: I ate a whole sleeve of thin mint Girl Scout cookies today.

Team screentime. DH and I had joint accounts until he was laid off last month. I told him we can have joint accounts again once he gets a job (#bitchpartyofone). We have a cleaning lady and she's probably my 3rd favorite person in the world. I also rarely participate in FFFC because I usually don't have anything to add. I ate a lot of carbs today?
I can't find who posted about the Dunkin Donuts but damn you woman the craving is real! And I'm allergic to wheat so the craving is also really really hard to satisfy!
We turned DS FF at 2. I would have kept him RF longer but was sick of listening to H whine about how "hard" it was to put him in RF and how "He can't see ANYTHING" DS didn't care either way.
+1 to consuming all the carbs today, but...
FFFC: I ate salami for lunch today. Yep. Give me all the lunch meat. I don't subscribe to Listeria Hysteria.
I must be super weird, b/c I totally love flaming and don't mind being flamed. But since I'm a west coaster, I seem to be perpetually late to most threads... and I didn't read all the posts, but I can see we have a general to-do over screen time, or at least the way people judge others about the way they do or do not use screen time? So in order to add my .02c:
We watch Octonauts in the mornings, have since DS1 was like 7 months. Or maybe I should clarify: H and I zone on octonauts and hope that DS will look at the tv frequently enough to be sort of distracted and not notice the veggies and whatever we are desperately trying to shove in his sweet little face. Sometimes it works, usually he is oblivious to the fact that the TV exists. Whatevs, bro.
Also he already has a leap pad (the baby version) because we hoped it would help to chill him out on long car rides to the grandparent's....another epic fail. Zero interest (our bad, it's too old for a one year old). It was a desperate measure really.
On the RF/FF topic: I have a Rav4, which he RF's in a Clek Fllo behind the passenger seat. I can sit in the passenger (somewhat) comfortably enough, but if H and I are in the car together, H absolutely can't sit in the passenger and therefore must drive. So to avoid having to buy a whole new car before October (the Rav is nearly paid off), I will probably FF DS at 21 months behind the driver's side so the infant seat will fit behind the passenger's. Those damn things take up more room than convertibles, man. I'd much prefer to RF DS1 until high school, but then life happened.
I have more but my first tri-related FFFC's are likely to get me excommunicated from TCF forever and a day.
Team do what's best for your family and fuck mommy wars.
Agree 100%. Having an opinion about something that's posted is not adding to the mommy wars though, IMO. Not sure if you meant it that way or not. But expressing how you choose to parent, you obviously make some judgements and decisions on what you chose. So obviously we all think our own decisions are in some way superior. You can still have a "you do you" attitude about what other people do but also express an opinion of how and why you do your own thing.

Agree 100% becole. I was referring to mommy wars. I think we all know what mommy wars are. I am hugely passionate about respecting other people's opinions and mommy wars piss me off.
It's going to be a looong slow 9 months if we only hand out high fives and hair pats around here. Not that I appreciate someone being an asshole. But ya know, respectful discussions of actual topics...
