We're looking up places to take pictures right now. When thing 1 wakes up from her nap, we're going to run and do some mommy and me shots. Otherwise, I need to write out thank you cards from her first birthday. Ugh. I'm tired already and I haven't even had to chase a toddler around a park yet.
We're getting ready for a showing. Having your house in the market while having a small child and a dog is a special form of torture. Cleaning right before a showing becomes a huge scramble. Cleaning too early with a kid around is like shoveling snow while it's still snowing. I'm basically forcing her to watch TV for the next hour.

This was me last summer. I would wipe the windows and their would be nose and finger prints 2 minutes later!

Do you take the kids and dog out during your showings? We are in the early EARLY stages of talking about selling, but this is one of my main concerns. We have two big dogs and they are hyper. We would need to take them out every single showing. But if we do decide to move, it probably won't be for another two or three years

Is this a standard thing? (TY cards?) I have never given out thank you cards after a birthday. Am I adulting wrong?

Road trip to ikea this morning. Needed some storage solutions since I have to move my office/craft stuff out of the spare room so DS can move in there. Now we're home and I'm exhausted and I think I'll take a nap!

Just got home from a kids run. Watching 2 year olds run a race is the cutest thing ever. DS had a smile on his face the entire time and got so excited for the medal! I really hope his love of running continues as he gets older - I'd love to share that hobby with him.

I was raised to write a TY note for everything so in my life, yes it's standard.
I hear you katelou. That's why we have ours set up that we need overnight notice for showings. We're going on vacation next week so there won't need to be any notice then. But I'm having a mini panic attack about getting everything I need to get done for work and packing and making sure the house is clean for when we leave the house at 5am next Saturday.

I write out thank you notes for all gifts all the time. I don't know if that's something a lot of people do.
We've had a productive day so far. Washed and cleaned out my car, what a wreck. There was about a pound and a half of crumbs and goldfish under DD's car seat. I just made rice pudding while she naps and it is amazing.

We just switched around da' car seat. Instead of goldfish, we picked out raisins and popcorn.

All for $230. I wiped but happy. My tiny boy has his first things!
So there goes my painting plans. My mom canceled the sleep over, which is fine, but DH and I had dinner reservations too I'm sad about it.
That sucks!!!
It really does, but it's okay. My parents do a lot for us, and they have never canceled on us before. The next weekend we have free isn't until April though
