Stupid question. Have you tried swaddling? The Halo swaddle sacks are the only way we can get K to sleep for a decent stretch.
We do swaddle, although with arms out because she needs them by her face. She even fell asleep right after her diaper change, but I had to move her from the changing table to the bassinet and she got fussy.
K likes her arms by her face too. We swaddle them in and within minutes she's somehow wiggled out. Little Houdini.
Kudos to having a kid who falls asleep during a diaper change. Mine always gets super riled up.
Up feeding my little Superman. He had gotten to where he just plays at my boob, but freaks out if I take him off. I just want to sleep.
Pacifier? K only takes them when she's tired but it may be worth a shot. I've also used my index finger and she takes that regardless of the circumstances.
Sitting here watching MH sleep while I nurse/change diapers is making me want to smother him. Thank goodness I have you ladies as a distraction.
Is he working in the morning? This is the only time this is acceptable in my book.
He's on DS duty since he has been sleeping so badly the last few nights. And literally right after I posted that he woke up, so DH is in there with him now. How do people survive having more than one kid??
My nipples are sooo sore. Her mouth is so tiny, it's really hard to get a good latch. I asked the LC about getting a shield and she said its not a good idea since I'll have to break the habit. I used one with DS for 4 months until I couldn't find it one day, and he did fine.
This is us right now too. Her mouth is so tiny she can't get a great latch and now I've started with the cracking and bleeding. I used one with DS for the first month with barely any issues, so we'll see how long I hold out this time.
You could always send SO on an emergency mission to get one from BRU...

Up. E did so much better tonight. Last night he was up every hour. Today I woke him up after a 4hr stretch. I'll let him go longer after our 2 week appointment and get the okay from the doctor.
I second the swaddling, I got lazy and didn't last night but did tonight and it has made a world of difference.
Well, night one has been rough. My giant girl is having trouble regulating blood sugar. She has an ok latch but sucks for a minute then falls asleep. I've been feeding her then hand pumping about 5 ml and giving it by syringe to hopefully keep sugar up. The last reading was better so hopefully we are on the right track.

C just slept for 4 hrs, I feel like a new woman. My boobs are going to explode though. I really need to meet with the LC soon, this kid's death grip latch is so shallow and I cannot get him to open bigger.

Same here (not the pumping, I still only have colostrum). It took about 2; hours for her blood sugar to regulate, and she's kinda a lazy nurser so far. FX she turns a corner soon!
I only have colostrum but I'm pumping a few ml after every feeding to give to her. Blood sugar still isn't staying up though!

If H gets up and mentions he hopes he can get a full night's sleep tonight, he will get slapped. I get he has to get up and go to work and all, but he needs to keep comments like those to himself.

We got a few hours of sleep, and now she's fed again and not having this sleeping thing. Lately, it's been her jam not to sleep after the feeding that occurs around 4 am. So awesome.

I'm still pregnant and have been waking up at 5 the past two mornings starving. Maybe this is a sign of labor! Ha. Hoping to join you guys with the LOs soon.

Yea...., or if I have to hear about how his job requires him to get a good night's rest because he needs to think and solve problems all day (electrical engineer) I may punch him. Hey guess what I take care of an infant and 19 month old. It's no walk in the park when sleep deprived

Maybe try this! We have a HALO sleep sack for the next phase, but we got one of these because a friend of mine said it was an awesome transition between swaddling them in a blanket with arms down (as you do in the hospital) and a larger swaddle/sleep sack. Our LO HAS to sleep with arms up right now and freaks out if you put her arms down in a lock. For naps during the day, she can handle having arms out all the way, but at night, she wakes herself up, so this is the perfect mix. It keeps her arms by her head but she can't flail herself in the face. ETA: As a bonus, it is also small! She would drown in the size S Halo sack right now haha.
I don't have much to add to the MOTN thread (it's only 10 here), but I'm freaking exhausted. My parents took Logan for the night to give us a break. Now we'll only have one kid waking up in the MOTN.

My baby isn't waking in the MOTN, but I am getting up having to pee and with a hungry tummy. This is ridiculous, my stomach shouldn't be growling every few hours.

Up. 1:45am. E slept for two hours so far. I woke up to him pooping hahaha. I'm very tired. Luckily my mom is here so I can take a nap tomorrow if needed.

M was asleep but I had to move her upstairs and of course that woke her up. She ate, and had a good poop while doing so, but now she's asleep and I hate that I have to change her and then get her back to sleep. Also, she's stuffed up and sounds pitiful
We did a side lying session last night and it was magical. I could only make it work on my good nipple side but it was her longest feeding of the night and so relaxing. Also followed by her longest stretch of sleep. Need to keep at that one! The rest of the night was pretty miseravke
