At breastfeeding group today I was showing off K's diaper fluff and I noticed she pooped. I went to change her and she got poop all up her back and on her outfit. As im cleaning her up she pees all over the table and starts spitting up. I didn't know what to do so I just started laughing. It took a bit but I finally got her cleaned up and presentable. Poor thing is a hot mess today.
I feel like with the cramping/random pains I keep feeling, I'm not going to know I'm actually in labor unless my water breaks in a massive gush of fluid.
It happened to me! All over my bathroom floor. Yay for tile.

That was convenient! Carpet or bed would have been a lot worse :/

Mine broke in bed. It wasn't too bad. We had a water proof pad on thank goodness. Otherwise it would have been a disaster. I stripped the bed before we went to the hospital and my mom had washed all the sheets by the time we got back. Better than carpet, definitely!

I've become that mom. Received a nice Edible Arrangement today right during naptime. And of course our dog barks at the slightest knock. Both kids woke up. Seriously considered putting a note on the door between the hours of one and four to not disturb but I figure that would be a little passive aggressive. I mean delivery drivers have to do their job, right?

Are you going to LLL or is it another breastfeeding group, like at your hospital? Just curious because there are some LLL meetings in my area and I' wondering if they're worth checking out!

We have a breastfeeding group once a week with the hospital LC. Im iffy about LLL after reading some of their forum posts.

Ummm we have a sign on our door lol. To leave the package or a notice for pick up.

LOL I have only read the book, not the forums, but there is some crazy advice in there! Hence me being curious if you'd been to a meeting and what it was like. I mean, a lot of the advice was helpful, but the guilt-tripping about moms who work and the suggestion of self-weaning as late as 7 yo? NERP.

Whoa whoa whoa, I'd never heard that 7 year old business. Yikes!
I have a friend who had a million different problems trying to bf, LLL helped her tremendously. She's a group leader now and pretty hardcore about it. That's all I know.

I fully intend to make a sign...My dogs are super barky, especially if someone knocks/rings the doorbell.
Today has been one of those days where I'm wondering how I'll survive with 3 kiddos. My 4 year old is driving me insane.
DD3 is 2 weeks old and I've only been alone with all 3 kids for a total of like 4 hours. I've only had to load all 3 into their car seats once. MH had one week off, and both of my parents are off work until next week. I am seriously petrified when they have to go back to work.

I started back with 3u3 on Monday when my nephew started back with me during the day. DD is 2 weeks tomorrow. It's killing me. I think I've cried 5 times today. The baby never wants to be put down and the boys are wild right now. It doesn't help that I'm not allowed to lift them so they actually have to want to go where I want them to go. I feel like all I do is tell them no and stop doing that and then give up and turn on cartoons. It gets easier, right?

MH gets 4 weeks off and I'm already dreading when that's over. I know it will be ok in the end but DS is in quite a phase right now. Plus, loading them all up for preschool dropoff/pick up sounds horrible.

I just may do it. I was able to get DD back to sleep, but DS was a lost cause. It's rare I can get them to nap at the same time so I was pretty irritated.

The book says the normal age to wean when kids lead is 3-7 yo!
I was just thinking of going to meet some other moms.

Blech. The thought of nursing my 3.5 year old makes me shudder. No no no no no.

halfahippy hugs to you. Cry when you need to and don't feel bad about the cartoons, they are a means to an end. Do what you need to maintain sanity. I keep trying to remind myself that this is a hard phase but it will pass eventually!

It's totally not passive aggressive! Just put up a sign that says: Quiet please, between the hours of 1 and 4 our children are napping. If you have a package for us, please leave it on the porch.
I work with ups guys all the time, they totally understand.
Bear finally decided breastfeeding was cool last night. Which is awesome. What is not awesome, is combine baby #2 with a naturally overactive supply and EPing, he can't empty the boobs. I was exhausted, and fell asleep before pumping after our 4am session.
So yeah, I woke up at 6:15 to a breastsplosion. My sheets are soaked, and I sprayed both Bear and my husband all over the place with milk. Motherhood is awesome.
My 4 year old (DS) had a fever Sunday evening and has been fine aside from that except for a bit sleepy in the last afternoons. Well now he threw up at dinner last night. He woke up this morning, asked for an early breakfast and said he was still really sleepy. Now he's sleeping on the couch. I am freaking out. Less than 2 weeks until I'm due, we can't all get some weird illness right now!
I haven't seen a bug like this before so it's making me panic and look up symptoms. It seems odd to have a fever for just one day then not throw up until three days later.
These kids hadn't been sick all winter until this past month when we all got colds and now this. Horrible timing! Hoping this baby overcooks like the other two so we can all be healthy when he/she arrives.
Waiting at the pediatrician a office - doc over an hour late... Baby getting hungry... Do I feed or continue waiting? Wondering what the lesser of two evils would be - prolonging feed or interrupting it for doc when she comes in...

If you at least start to feed, it will probably take the edge off and then you can finish up once the doc is done.

Feed baby. You can just keep feeding her while talking to the doctor for a few minutes.
