Can someone help me with getting in the fb group? Daydreamsam asked for my email and sent an invite but then I never got anything and now she's busy with a new little squish.
Message me your email address, and I'll send you another invite.

Today I have 3 extra adults and 3 extra kids 6 and under in my small house. I'm currently hiding out in my bedroom. I didn't really realize how overwhelmed I may start to feel at 40 +2 weeks with all the mayhem.
Doesn't help that dd woke me up at midnight because she pooped herself and then at 5:30 to "cuddle" which never happens. I think she may be sensing baby's arrival. Which is scheduled for monday if she doesn't come in the next day. ...
do you use saline first? I feel like I'm drowning him if I use the saline.
No I didn't. Are you supposed to?
I saw a little boog at the base so I suckered it but it just kept coming and was huge. I have saline wipes that I got for free but I thought they were for older babies. We
our pediatrician had said to use saline drops if there was mucus. I just don't know if it's working. He sounds like he has a congested nostril all the time.

I really had to suck. It took a few tries to get anything and then I just kept sucking until the whole thing came out. She sounded better after, it was a process to get it out.
adorebel - make sure the ruffles around the legs are out and it might just be the brand or size doesn't work for your LO if you need to have a pack of disposables as back up.
LO is in sposies today for the first time since the hospital because we waited a few hours too long to do laundry.
1. They are so trim! Now I know how NB clothes are supposed to fit without giant fluffbutt.
2. OMG I can smell EVERYTHING.
Update: We just had our first massive blowout all over me and a couch cushion, haha!
Ewwwwwwwww!
Using sposies right now too. I didn't know we'd be in the hospital so long, so we're just sticking with it. C just left for his hearing test, so maybe we'll switch today. I hate the way sposies feel. So rough and papery!!!

Lol. We cd too with some sposies. Once we drove 6 hours when dd was about 6 months. Got to our location late at night and she had had a blow out. I cleaned her up, changed her. Then nursed her. ... and she had another blow out. I freaking hated sposies during the little baby breast milk poop stage.

I read the other posts about the ruffles with fascination earlier this week! Never knew that in all my years of babysitting. She's only 8lb and quite narrow, but I guess nb pampers could be too small? She's long.
EJ is 7.5 lbs and is between newborn and size 1. We just go with size 1. We will use cloth diapers but she doesn't fit in our newborn ones yet so we are still using disposables.
Last night I walked into the kitchen and, H had LO on the kitchen counter and was waving banana chips in front of her face. So I asked him what he was doing and he was like watch this she really likes how it smells... And it was like putting her in a trance. This morning I was reading about newborn reflexes and milestones and it called out liking sweet smells and specifically mentioning bananas. Lol
Me too pugs! H was on spring break last week and it was amazing. I am dreading this week, alone with DS.
WE CAN DO THIS.
Add me to this list! My mom was here week 1 and H has been on spring break for the past 2 weeks. I feel nervous mostly about the no lifting and also if I need 5 when she is fussy there is no one to pass her too... but I can wear her which is good, and it usually calms her down too.
You don't want to expose (feed) LO peanut butter until after 6 months and be careful so they don't choke. It used to be none until after 1 but the thought is changing that if you expose them earlier less allergies develop. No honey until after they're 1 because of bacteria.
Are we supposed to avoid peanuts and peanut butter right now?? 0_0
You can eat PB! You just can't give it to M. But you can't give him any solids for 6 months anyway, haha. I think the other stories were people putting literal peanut crumbs on their LO by accident, or a paci with a little actual PB smeared on it. It's not common for it to cause problems in your breastmilk, so you don't need to avoid it.

Has anyone that's breastfeeding been advised to avoid specific foods? A's pedi said to limit nuts and dairy so now I'm scared to have even a spash of milk in oatmeal.

I thought this was only if your LO has symptoms of an intolerance.

Has LO shown any gassyness/extra fussiness due to these foods? If not, there's definitely no reason to avoid them. Plus, baby gets used to foods through your BM, so if dairy and nuts are a part of your regular diet I would definitely keep eating them.

Wut. No. I'm still going through a gallon of milk and a pound of cheese a week just like during pregnancy. My worst nightmare would be no dairy during breastfeeding. Was already a vegan when I was younger and dnw to do the no dairy thing again.

With my first 2, they would get wicked gassy/spitty/fussy if I had dairy, and DD2 they even told me to eliminate any from my diet. It was AWFUL. I was fully expecting DD3 to be the same, but so far, almost 4 weeks in, the only thing she seems to get gassy/spitty with is chocolate. That might not sound bad, but chocolate is pretty much its own food group to me haha. I guess it will help with weight loss but dammit why couldn't it just be straight milk haha.
