H is in the navy and his XO's wife set up a meal schedule for this week for people to bring us dinner. We got our first meal tonight, and it's a ton of food. We could be eating just this meal the whole week and still have enough! They brought a cheese lasagna, green bean casserole, Italian bread, cupcakes, and cookies. I'm going to gain back all the weight I dropped the last 2 weeks between Easter and these meals...

that sounds amazing. MH doesn't like lasagna but I love it!
Are you guys doing Vitamin D drops daily? What brand did you go with? We are about to run out of our sample - it was DVisol by Enfamil and it seemed like so much liquid to squirt in little guys' mouth - wondering if there is a smaller dose size option that is just as good or better...
Between yesterday and this morning I lost my mucus plug.
Good gravy I hope this means baby is coming soon. COME ON BABY!
I'm rooting for you! When we became labor buddies because our EDDs were "far enough apart," I never thought they'd be THIS far apart, with me going early and you going late. Come on, baby!

Our pedi recommend the ones from whole foods (its whole foods brand baby D, something like that) bc it's one drop that goes on your finger or nipple and the. Just shove it in LO's mouth. No dropper or anything. I just bang it on my finger and then put my finger in her mouth.

That sounds sooooo much easier. This one is a syringe with 1ML in it. I have to squirt little bits for a minute or two just so he can handle it/swallow it. Will look into BabyD!

We are using the Carlson vitamin d drops. It's one drop and so easy. I either put it on my finger or just let it drop into her mouth if she happens to be screaming anyway. Lol

We are using the same brand and I feel the same way about the serving size. It feels like way too much to give him all at once.

We have a generic brand, and it's a whole dropper full as well. I've also noticed that since I started (less than a week ago) J has been getting more fussy and gassy. Today was just awful, and she wasn't eating very well at all so I'm going to see how she does without it for a few days. In the meantime, I'll definitely be looking into some of the other brands that have been mentioned that are only a drop.
Has anyone that's breastfeeding been advised to avoid specific foods? A's pedi said to limit nuts and dairy so now I'm scared to have even a spash of milk in oatmeal.
I agree with everyone else, this is weird unless baby is showing symptoms. I had to go dairy free for a year + with DD, definitely not something I'd do without a good reason.
I will say babies' sensitivity with intolerances/allergies seem to have quite a range. If I accidentally had a hint of dairy from something I'd see symptoms. My friend's kid also had an allergy but she didn't need to be nearly as vigilant as I was.

We used Baby D Drops, you can buy them on Amazon. They're just one drop.

Nice. Have you noticed any constipation as a side effect? I just looked at my tracker and baby's poops have gone from 6 a day to 2 a day since we started ours... And then I looked at online reviews for The one we are using and apparently it's a common problem!

I haven't used them for a long time, DD is 2 now, but I don't think she had any constipation issues. I'm pretty sure since I kept close tabs on her poo due to her dairy allergy.

I'm not using any vitamin D drops. We get all afternoon sun in our living room so he lays in the sunshine every day for a few minutes. I did the same thing for C. Pedi knows and doesn't push the drops.
When I was pregnant I was scared of my kids having a dairy allergy. I already can't have gluten due to Celiac so no dairy or soy would be tough! A friend of mine had to cut out dairy and has a hard time adjusting to eating it again. Two years later and she still can't eat it like she used to.
@pugsabdwine they are called baby's super daily D and the brand is Carlson. The pic isn't working but the bottle looks the same as the other one posted.
So far I have walked almost 17 miles since Saturday and I'm on track to be closer to 22 by the end of the day.
GOOD GRAVY BABY. MOVE OUT.
How have your hips and knees not fallen apart?
I've been taking it at a comfortable pace. I usually walk about 2-3 miles a day anyway just being up and about (I have a Fitbit so I can keep track) but I've been walking our exercise path the past 3 days to try and jimmy her loose
My knees have been totally good this whole time, thankfully. I am a bit rickety when I get up in the middle of the night, but otherwise the walking actually seems to be making me feel better rather than crummy.

I didn't kniw that could happen. I would be so sad if that had happened to me! Ice cream is my main food group. It was tough to give it up for so long.

This is how we roll too, though we take her out with us when we garden so she gets a few min of direct sun a couple days a week.
Today is so nice out so we walked H to class and I dropped my phone and cracked my screen
Also this AM I called 2 bra stores and asked about their nursing selections and they both said they had a bunch but when I pressed them both said they only carried one that came in letter sizes. Wtf?! It seems like nordstroms is the place to go for them but it's really far so I just ordered a bunch in 3 differs sizes online and will return what doesn't fit. Things are getting desperate

When you all go to pay your hospital bills make sure you ask for a discount. My hospital knocked an additional 25% off what I owed after insurance adjustments and payments for paying in full and giving them my card/check info over the phone.
