I don't think all book series need to go on forever and ever, sometimes 3 or 4 books is enough. Most I've seen over 10-15 books get pretty boring or the characters don't stay true to themselves.
I have never heard of any over 10. The longest I read was Harry Potter and I could read like 20 more of those books.

The Stephanie Plum series is on book 22 I think. After awhile they got pretty repetitive. I still read them, but I'm not excited about it lol

The first 4 are great. Five through 10 are okay. Eleven through 13 are like- what? I didn't even finish 14. A read it and told me not to bother, I would just be pissed off.

No, but no desire to. I don't like water, I don't like lakes. I hate heat. The whole idea is just yuck to me.
As a beach lover, I encourage you to give it a shot. You know, that whole open mind, try something once, etc. Bring an umbrella for some shade (or sit under a palm tree) and enjoy the cool breeze and listening to the water while reading a great book. Personally, I like to throw some mimosas in for good measure (sans baby), but that's me ! It doesn't have to be a sweaty mess. It might be enjoyable!

I think all the infant sleep stuff especially online is a bunch of garbage(sleep associations, regressions, baby schedules, etc) I wasted a lot of time on it. I think most babies would sleep the same way no matter what you do.

I agree. We just rolled with whatever DS did but I did way too much mental stressing and reading. I feel much more relaxed w DD about just letting it happen.

Hmm, I'll agree with the exception of sleep training or Ferber. I fully believe my son wokld still be sleeping on my boob in a recliner without good ole Ferber. Although, it never worked for naps...because babies do what they want!

I don't think Ikea is that great. I especially don't get why people around me take weekend trips to cities 3-4 hours away for the sole purpose of shopping there.

I so agree. I nursed to sleep, co-slept, had multiple wake ups at night and both girls put themselves to sleep and STTN. They are able to stay up late one night and go back to normal bedtime the next night. I read no books and did no sleep training.

Yep, I did everything the "wrong" way, nursed to sleep, co-slept, whatever, and now DD can put herself to sleep (sans teething or sick issues) and often sleeps through the night with absolutley no training at all (friggen teething right now)
There is also a new study that says genetics has as much to do with sleeping as outside factors, at least in babies
