LO's favorite food right now is...

For those of us who want ideas/reminders.  My LO is finally at the point that he will eat whatever as long as it is cut up appropriately if necessary.

Macaroni and cheese & ham (not necessarily mixed together)
For breakfast, pancakes

He eats most of our food pretty enthusiastically, but he especially seems to enjoy pasta like spaghetti or lasagna. He also loves pancakes/waffles with some peanut butter, and his been going crazy for strawberries lately.

ETA - Cheerios and puffs, too. We had to take him to reserve our lot at the builders, and he was stuck with us in a small-ish office for 45 minutes. Puffs were the only thing that kept him happy during that time, and when I tried to put them away at one point, he screamed bloody murder.

He'll eat just about anything but favorite include:

Fresh raspberries
Saltine crackers
Goat cheese on crackers or bread
Peanut butter on crackers or bread
Chicken nuggets
Pasta of any type
Chicken & dumplings
Cooked carrots
Mashed potatoes
Cucumbers
Thinly sliced apples

E's favorite food right now is any kind of curly noodle pasta, warm, not cold. He also loves most types of bread, mushrooms cooked in butter and little pieces of meat. All other foods are iffy, so I'll be watching for ideas!

Bananas. Without question. The kid loves bananas. Poor LBB was eating one last night and walked too close and was the victim of THE CLAW. I can't walk past a banana without him reaching out to grab it.

Other favorites are:
*"soup" (I scoop out the contents of soup and give them to him)
*veggie couscous
*pasta
*pineapple
*blueberries
*blackberries
*lumpia. This is a new one he discovered this weekend and would have probably eaten his body weight if he could have.

In general, I am surprised so many LO's like peanut butter. I tried giving my LO a peanut butter and jelly sandwich once (in pieces) and after one bite he wanted nothing to do with it.

I wanted to give DS blackberries the other day, but then I didn't because of the seed in the middle can be tough to chew - do you take that out? Or just give them to him whole? I have a feeling he'd love them because I still give him oatmeal with fruit purees in it, and he especially loves all the berry ones, but my FTM came out and I didn't give him the actual blackberry.

G eats pretty much anything we put in front of her.

She'll grab for bread and meat first. Sweet potato fries and broccoli are other favorites.

The only thing mine consistently loves is tomato sauce. So spaghetti or pizza, basically. I just break off minuscule tiny pieces of pizza (we are talking smaller than pea sized because that's all this weirdo can manage) and put it in his mouth. Sometimes I just give him the sauce straight on the spoon. It's the only thing he will lean forward for.

Other things I've been doing that he will eat small amounts of:
Tofu
Black beans
Hummus
Yogurt
Oatmeal
Cucumber

Don't come near him with any kind of fruit or fruity puree such as applesauce. And no avocado unless I want to clean up puke from the gagging.

He will eat almost anything but his faves are pancakes, peanut butter toast, spinach pasta, perogies, puffs, meatballs and mashed potatoes.

She'll eat anything I give her. I think she's pretty much giving up purées for table food only (other than baby oatmeal...she'll still eat that). She loves:
-sliced deli meat
-pasta
-chicken
-avacado
-green beans (I break these in to smaller pieces)
-teething biscuits (I buy the Happy Baby Organics kind, which she goes nuts for)

J will eat nearly anything. He eats a mix of purees and solids, mostly because H is scared of him choking. He went crazy over some celery last week and green beans and cheese this weekend. He would eat his weight in puffs if we let him. We meet my mom for lunch every week, and he usually eats some fries and some bread, all depends on where we are.

C will eat anything. I have yet to see him spit something out because he doesn't like it. His 2 favorites are blueberries and avacados.

Joolschweets - belle0720 nailed it.  They're a Filipino dish that's like finger-sized eggrolls. 



 jillywilly - He eats the entire blackberry, even that middle part, no problems.  Of course his face gets covered in blackberry juice when he eats, but he doesn't find that problematic.

 beersandweirs ,  I don't know if this is the same egg/banana pancake you're talking about, but for my kids, I mash up a banana, then whisk in 2 eggs for the batter.

beersandweirs I've done the pancakes 2 ways:

a) 1 egg + 1 ripe banana mashed and mixed with a fork
b) 2 eggs whisked + 1 ripe banana + 2 tbsp coconut flour hand blended

The second way results in a fluffier more "real pancake" consistency.

Jude loves black beans and chickpeas. He gobbles those up. He also likes squash, lemons, pizza crust, puffs (of course), yogurt, meat (pretty much any kind but bbq is a favorite), and blueberries.
He also really likes ice cream. Fftc? I gave him a taste after dinner and he flipped out when I took it away. Definitely my kid.
