Someone offered this pregnant chick a seat on the train this morning. First time ever! It made me happy even though I turned it down, because it's good to know there are conscientious people still out there.
Yesterday was definitely a better day than the previous two days, so that was a a relief. However, DS pooped in the bathtub last night so there was that. My muscles are sore from scrubbing the tub.
I got my k'tan yesterday. I tried it on with a stuffed animal. I better lose some weight post baby because it was tight!
The lady at the dunks drive through asked me when I am due I responded October. She said congrats with a shocked look. I realized what I said and corrected myself. October is DS birthday and I have no idea where that came from. She must have been thinking "octomom?!"
Gah! I must have unknowingly turned off my alarm this morning, so I ended up oversleeping by about an hour. Luckily it's NBD with work since we have flex hours, but I'm so annoyed that I now have to be here later than I like. Pity party for one.
I have a cervical length check with my OB over my lunch break. I think after that I may treat myself to a slice of my favorite pizza and a pop.
babyzebra, thanks for reminding me about the joys of parenting I get to look forward to Also, I've heard that the K'tans are supposed to be tight?
He was so proud of himself too and kept clapping! I was not impressed. It especially sucked this time too because DH wasn't home. Luckily, DS was really well behaved while I was cleaning the tub and just stood there patting my back. I think he learned that from DH.
ETA the back patting thing he learned from DH, not pooping in the tub!

I get at least two "you must be having that baby any day now!" Comments every single day from random people - the cashier at wegmans included. I didn't mind it at first but every day is a bit much. Also since I mentioned to a coworker about how a client called me a whale, coworker (mid 60s maintenance guy) makes shamu and moby dick comments to me daily. Also - why are capris the only maternity pants they have at Kohl's right now? You know what isn't flattering when you 29 weeks pregnant? Capris.

Totally just lol'd at your ETA! Sorry you had to deal with that though - been there, no fun.

Really hoping that today is nice and relaxed and I can hang out here a bit. After the hours I've put in so far this week, I think I deserve a little break today.
I went with a half-caf caramel macchiato this morning because mama needed a pick-me-up! Baby boy is bouncing off the walls!

I feel like I need to punch everyone that you come in contact with... they suck big time.
Also your capris comment is spot on - I tried some on the other day and just laughed at myself in the mirror.

Haha! I completely feel you on the capris. So bad.
Also...you must be surrounded by so many assholes. Where do you live? Because I want to avoid those people. I can't believe so many people are so insensitive or downright mean. Sheesh.
I'm getting confused by the comments I get daily. One person will say I'm "so tiny for twins" and then the next person says "oh wow, you're getting big, where will they all go?!". Ugh. So am I huge or tiny or what?? I don't know.

Oh no no no no no to the whale comments. Have you told him off yet? If not, please let me come and do it for you. I'll give that man an earful...
And YES to the capris being awful! Also, I know I'm showing myself as being really un-trendy, but I HATE skinny jeans too! I am so waiting for them to stop being in fashion, because I think they look horrible on anyone larger than like a size 6. And if you have big muscular thighs thanks to genetics compounded with a hobby of running and hiking mountains.... nope! And then add a pregnant belly! I'm a boot cut kinda girl.
Oh man, frecklesnbrains, I rarely disagree with you, but give me all the skinny jeans! Still. My favorite maternity jeans are the skinnies. With boots, they're fab. With cute spring flats, they look cute with a little cuff. I'm all about them.

All the power to you if you can pull them off! I just can't
pbandj714, I'm with you on the skinny jeans! I'm short and they tend to make my legs look a little longer. In the interest of laziness, it's also so much easier to just cuff them than to worry about needing to get my jeans hemmed. All other jeans tend to make me look like I'm wearing clown pants or playing dress up in my mom's closet. #shortpeopleproblems
I am far from skinny and love skinny jeans. Sitting in my regular jeans just isn't that comfortable anymore, so tomorrow I'm wearing maternity for the first time.
I was twenty five minutes late to work today because of an accident on the highway. I sat for half an hour hardly moving and then finally could get off an exit and went a different way.

Short people unite - I'm so thankful skinny jeans are in style right now!!! I even appreciate a good pair of maternity skinny jeans - but the capris are just a NO!! I somehow look 2 feet shorter and 2 feet wider.
I can't live with out my skinny jeans. But it is finally warming up here and I need to find some shorts. I am pretty self conscious of my legs at this point. But I sweat like a crazy person and need breathing on my legs.
Flair Underwood, I feel like capris are good in theory but are very rarely flattering, even without being pregnant. Unless they're perfectly tailored (see above - way too lazy for that) they just tend to look frumpy and awkward.
Flair Underwood, Of all the rude comments that members of this board have received in the last several months (and we've received a lot of them), I think this is the worst! Comparing a person to a whale is really mean and crappy. It's like being compared to a pig, or a skunk, or a snake; some animals just evoke an unattractive image. He's a jerk. I don't like him. And I want to give him a piece of my mind.
All you skinny jean lovers are crazy. I definitely agree with frecklesnbrains. Boot cut jeans are so much more flattering on almost every body type IMHO. Especially mine. I look ridiculous in skinny jeans.
ETA ok maybe I was projecting. Other people look great in skinny jeans. I do not.
I'm 4'11 and I like skinny capris (uh oh). I think when they are tight they make my top side look smaller. I've got some maternity red capris I'll sport once it starts warming up around here. I'll make sure to wear them on a hdbd. Boot cut jeans make me feel bigger than I already am. Also, I'm not a big dress person but I think I've hit an uncomfortable stage with pants that dresses are my friend.
