txmommy14 I'm sorry that the appointment didn't go great. Try your best not to worry. It sounds like they are keeping a good eye on things. Hugs for you.
I went to the dentist yesterday. I was remembering my dentist visits as a kid. I don't know if it was because of how the chair was set up there, or my hygienist's preference, but when she cleaned my teeth she would end up hanging directly over me. As a result, I could see what she was doing reflected in her safety glasses and I'd watch her clean my teeth (for lack of anything else to look at). It wasn't until years later that I realized that from her perspective, it probably just looked like I was staring into her eyes the ENTIRE time she was cleaning my teeth. I probably had some nickname around the office like "creepy eye contact kid". My current hygienist doesn't lean over me so I can't see anything. Definitely more boring.
I can happily confirm that staring into your hygienist's eyes is one of the least weird things that you can do at the dentist and would not even register on the weird-o-meter. There are far more bizarre things that people say and do at the dentist than that.

I always worry if the hygienist can see up my nose and if she see's anything up there.... Can you weigh in on this one babyzebra???

She can most likely see up your nose depending on how far back the chair is, but she definitely does not care what's in there. Even if you do have something up there and she happens to notice, I can assure you that she has seen much worse and it will be the least shocking part of her day. Not to worry!
AFM working with kiddos, I see lots of crusty booger faces. A lot of times I really really want to clean their noses. Now THAT would be weird so I refrain!
I just don't even understand this at all. I'm jealous, at least. My gap jeans are not this kind to me.
I'm sorry! I wish you could experience the comfiness. Are yours full-panel, low-panel, or the side-panel? (Mine are full)
Mine are full, too! Maybe I'm actually a low-panel person and failed to realize this through 1.75 pregnancies? Oh well. Too late now. I also won't pretend I don't wear yoga pants 80+% of the time anyway...

txmommy14 Sorry for the growth delay news. You had a cell free fetal DNA test (Maternit21, Harmony, etc), right? Those are pretty good at picking up Turners syndrome, so I wouldn't worry about that diagnosis too much. It doesn't sound like you're in a dangerous range at this time. Some babies are just small, and it's not a problem at all! (Someone's always gotta be at the 10th percentile, just like someone has to be at the 90th percentile). Other times they are small because the placenta is small and/or not pumping as much blood to baby. The important thing is for them to follow you closely to make sure it isn't getting worse, which it sounds like they're doing.
txmommy14, I don't know how I missed this yesterday, but I'm sorry about the less-than-perfect news at your sono. Hopefully she's just a small baby and there's nothing else to worry about.

So you would think them following after 3 weeks seems fine? Yes I had a cell free DNA test, but it only gave me results for trisomy 18, 13 and 21-would it pick up other things? I don't think I'd be worried about the percentile had it not been dropping progressively!

Do you know which brand of test you had? Almost all of them read out the sex chromosome abnormalities in addition to the three trisomies. You can always double-check with your OB office, but if they gave you a gender then they should have analyzed the sex chromosome ratios. I know for sure that MaterniT21 does.
I think if your OB were concerned they'd have scheduled a follow-up closer than 3 weeks. Will be thinking of you!

Oh I really want to hear what the truly bizarre things are. I love crazy client stories.

Me too!
I get to see pretty funny behavior every day from both my pediatric patients and their parents. Most of the kids are super great and just say hilarious things. They tend to be way over-sharers and the stuff they tell me makes their parents so embarrassed sometimes. The most embarrassing for the parents usually is when they say they rarely give the kids candy or soda and then the kid immediately calls them out and tells me that the parent gives them that stuff all the time. What a way to make a room awkward!
As far as behaviors go, I have seen everything from super cooperative and well behaved kids to ones who are defiant, combative, and have a mouthful of expletives for my staff and I. I also see a fair number of kids who seem to have very few boundaries. They will come right up to me and sit on my lap and then refuse to sit in the dental chair. It's all in a day's work!
