After a 3 hour cluster feeding session I finally got A to sleep and was able to lay her down right as dinner came out of the oven. About 30 seconds later, DH cracked his drink and woke her up. I told him it was his fault and he got to deal with it. I savored every bite of my dinner while he struggled to keep her calm and I have no guilt over it. He is now enjoying his cold lasagna and I'm back to nursing again. Lol

This kid falls asleep in the carseat within seconds and it is a beautiful thing. We have taken day trips to places 2-3 hours away last week and this week and it is so much fun!! My toddler is being an asshole though. Someone tell me how to fix that.
I'm so glad that we decided to buy 36 newborn diapers. Oven gotten down to 2 clean ones twice now. Whoa.
We have 20 or so but same boat here :-P with DD1 we made it by with 12.
I ordered more NB... H doesnt like prefolds/covers, so until she grows into our hybrids i figured i should have a few more, especially since she just over 7lbs and they go up to at least 10lbs.

We switched to smalls at 4weeks. They're big on her but fit so much better than the,NB and no more blowouts. At least I can use the newborns as inserts later.

Ditto on the toddler! She was great the first week but now she has started throwing things when she doesn't have our full attention. She knocked her little table over Real Housewives style the other day. It was funny at first but now I'm over it!

I wish I knew. Mine has been quite a handful lately. I'm sure the life changing event of having a new sibling has a lot to do with it, but good lord.

I feel like I can finally come up for air. Adjusting to life with a newborn is tough. Plus we had an extra rough patch that included being readmitted to the hospital after her 4 day pedi appt for weight loss & dehydration. Since then we've had multiple LC appts & pedi followups to curb the issues. Just now feel like I'm getting a handle on things.
I've missed you guys!! Slowly but surely I'll get caught up...and hopefully get my tumultuous (but quick) birth story up.

I have a blood blister on my nipple. Not sure what to do. I'm hoping the bf board can help. I've never had any issues with my other kiddos and I thought this one had the best latch of them all!

Sleep training my 20 month old at nap time. She didn't nap at all yesterday and spent 2hrs playing in her crib instead of sleeping. Today it took her 1hr 55mins to fall asleep. So an improvement haha

Liked for commiseration. This has been a struggle for us since coming home with DD. Today he went to sleep while I was reading his books and is into hour 2! So there's always hope
My FIL said something like, "You should probably put something over this." when he and MH set the crib up however many months ago. LOLno. Covering it will only make the cats more interested in it, for one thing. And for another, my kid is going to grow up surrounded by cats. He'll be fine.
My MIL was the same way about cats when DD was born. She worried our cat would smother her. Our cat wants nothing to do with these kids.

I asked H to come home early today. He technically has 5 more days of leave left, but because he's a department head, he's not taking them. So he said we could compromise and he could leave early a couple days this week. It's already 4 and I have yet to hear from him... he really sucks at paying attention to time.
I decided to try out the Moby wrap just to see how we like it. Kid conked out in it immediately and now I feel like I'm stuck wearing him for the next two hours because I don't want to wake him up.
I'm suddenly having guilt over the beer I had with dinner... I drank it an hour and a half ago. Tell me it's okay to feed my kid and that I don't have to use formula for just one beer. Anyone?

Mom guilt is tough.
Your totally fine. If you're good to drive, your good to nurse. That's the rule I follow and my kids seem healthy. I'm having a glass of wine now as I gear up for a cluster feeding marathon.
Thanks! I've been telling myself the same, but then this is like the fourth night in a row I've had A Beer (crazy living over here - lol) so I decided to google just in case.

Never google. Just don't.
I've had at least one drink a day (some days 2) since like 1 week pp. My days are rough and a glass of wine helps my life. No guilt

I have a friend who would have just one glass of wine about 30 minutes before her last feeding before bed. Her son was super colicky and it would let both of them sleep a good 4hr stretch in the beginning haha.

Whomp.
We used ours yesterday too... stuck wearing her for 3 hours and then she woke up super pissed lol. You can tuck his head into the shoulder pocket for support so you don't have to worry about bobbing around.

LO's pedi told me to have two small beers a day to help with milk production. I asked him about alcohol content with nursing and he looked at me like I was crazy lol.
