Pregnancy insomnia is for the birds. I was awake for 3 damn hours last night. So I am le tired and I have so much I hope to get done today. The toddler just went down for a nap I think I might shower and nap myself. The rest will just have to wait until I have energy.
It's been snowing all morning, and still going. I'm working from home and loving every second. Depending on how much I get done by 2 I might even take a glorious, glorious nap.

Typical Monday. I have a nanny here Monday - Thursday since I work from home most days. Lots of catch up today- tons of emails from the weekend, trip to the bank, grocery shopping. Trying to squeeze in yoga if there's a class before nanny is done. Happy Monday everyone!

nuggetrn do you wear scrubs at work? I need to get some new ones and have no what brand to get. I've always gone with greys anatomy because the length was right on the pants, but the waistband has been annoying me to no end.
I need to meal plan for the week so I can go grocery shopping on my lunch hour. Nothing sounds good though.
Same. I just did meal planning for the week and it was so hard. Food is just, ugh, right now. If I didn't have to eat I'd probably just skip it!
I need to get into meal planning once I'm feeling better. I'm sick of throwing stuff in the freezer the day before the expiration date because I don't know what to do with it.

Yep! Scrubs here! I am still wearing my regular scrubs and they are just fine. They are pretty roomy to begin with so I am really hoping that these will last me a while.
One of the nurses at my old job had these amazing Cherokee maternity pants that she looooooved. I think I am going to check them out if/when the time comes.
Are you a nurse? What do you do?
ETA: oh and my scrubs right now are ones I bought at Wal-Mart. I just started a new job in November and I was trying to be cheap. At $12-14 a piece they were great. They are actually great scrubs! Also I am only 5'3" and I find that I wear the waist up pretty high as it is to make them the length I want so hopefully they'll work well as my belly gets bigger.

I am! I'm a wound care nurse and sometimes an OR scrub nurse depending if it's one of my wound patients or if the normal nurse can't make it in. Love the wound care, hate the OR. What do you do?
I'm also 5'3" so I know all about hiking the pants up haha. I'm going to have to check Walmart out because that is a great price. I actually have those Cherokee maternity pants! Ridiculously comfortable, but huge right now. I can't wait to be able to get into them full time.
I'm so pissed that I didn't get to watch it last night. I'll definitely be doing that tonight though.
I'm here for you if you need someone to talk to after you've watched it.
I have it recorded and will be watching it tonight. Unfortunately everyone on my Facebook spelled out pretty clearly what I should be expecting. Can we discuss tomorrow? I think I'll have lots of feels.

Yes! We can start a thread to discuss all our feels. Being on the West Coast I'm really sensitive to spoilers, it sucks when that happens.
I'm with everyone, meal planned and crockpotted this week and everything I love and is my go to, tastes like its 173 days old!?! Lasagna gave me heartburn, and I'm just mad I made food to not cook all week and they taste awful! I'm so tempted to tell my mom I'm pregnant so she can come up and cook for me! Lol

The 6am alarm was brutal this morning! I moved a meeting this morning because I just didn't have the energy for it. I did walk a mile at lunch and got some yummy tacos so that's a win in my book.

I was MIA yesterday so im using naptime to catch up. Mondays around here are pretty slow. H usually works a double,so it's just us girls. The little had shots last week and weve been a bit of a hot mess ever since. Question: At what point do you get over the whole "first time mom thing" and start just rubbing some dirt on it?? I'm clearly still a paranoid FTM at this parenting thing. Story. Of. My. Life.
goldenlove3 No, but I want to. Do you know if the older seasons are on netflix or prime? I don't have HBO.
It looks like it's available but you have to pay for it. At that point, you might as well get an HBO subscription. You can sign up for HBO GO online and it's free for the first month then $15/month after that.

tgrimes1980 I bought the GoT series off eBay because I don't have HBO either. I'm currently watching season 5.
I love TWD too! No spoilers please! I am so behind... Like 4 episodes. My H and I watch it together and we have no had time. Plus it's hard for me to stay awake lately.

I'm in the same boat with meal planning; honestly, if I didn't have to make sure the kids got fed, I probably would skip it. As it is, I have a feeling they'll be eating an awful lot of hot dogs and broccoli by the time I get out of first tri.
I'm exhausted from making a very challenging housing decision this morning. Even more challenging because DH was teaching so we could barely talk about it. Ultimately I think we made the right choice.
L's eczema is flaring up right now. It doesn't seem to bother her too much, but I hate seeing the big red patches all over her arms and legs. Sigh. We have a special lotion, but it doesn't seem to be helping. Going to get another lotion that's helped in the past and use that covered with vaseline.
I am pretty new to this though. I started in November. I work in an office setting. We have a wound and Ostomy nurse though in our department who works out on the hospital floor. I have always been interested in wound care and was looking for something part time to do as I transition out of my homecare job. I love it!!

How long have you been doing wound care?
Whaaaaat!! That's awesome! I'm in an office setting as well, we just happen to be lucky to have an ambulatory surgery center with us. Next month will be a year for me so in the big picture i would say I'm pretty new too considering how much I feel I'm still learning and finding out.

What a crazy cool coincidence!!
Also very cool that you get to scrub for OR. I think that would be pretty cool to get to do. When I was orienting at the first hospital I worked at I got to sit in on one of the docs doing robotic surgery. He laproscopically removed a cancerous gallbladder from across the room. So cool.
ETA I did just reread though and maybe you actually hate scrubbing. Haha. Somehow I missed that the first time around.
We actually work with plastic surgeons on Mondays and see a lot of hand injuries and breast reconstructions post mastectomy. I really enjoy it.

It really is such a coincidence! I love it! The OR was cool for like a week, but then I realized how bored I was. It's all lower extremity stuff so once you see a toe/foot/bone come off they all kind of look the same. I like constant movement so being gowned, gloved, and masked just gets to me after about a half hour.
That work with the plastic surgeon must be awesome. Since we're all lower extremity 95% of what I do deals with limb salvage. We get them most of the time when the hospital doesn't even feel like working with them anymore, but the patient isn't ready for an amputation. I've met some very interesting people over the past year.
