The daily thread killed my N13 BMB because everyone posted everything there vs asking questions or starting topics whenever they thought of something. My UO is that a daily thread kills a lot of other potential threads.
Yep. I also agree with @hilarityensued
The spam/randoms threads are actually fairly new. I don't remember them being popular until sometime in the past year. I hated when my last BMB started doing them. Now I don't mind them there because we've all known each other for so long it's like sitting down and having a long chat with old friends. But on newer boards, I do think they take away from some of the potential other threads. I'd rather read through ten 2-3 page threads that have the topic listed on top than read through a 15 page thread of randoms about food with one or two interesting posts hidden in it somewhere.
#sorrynotsorry
I'll echo this just for the length issue alone. I enjoy catching up with y'all but those 6+ page threads wear me out....especially if I intend to be active and actually respond/participate. I can't help it....I get lost in the sauce too quickly my dears and keeping paper on hand to note who said what so I can tag sucks.

queenrichie please don't feel like you have to post any personal information (like that website maybe - I didn't click on it) just to prove who you are or aren't. Safety first!
Another thought, I don't think we should lump all big things into one thread. Like when we start giving birth... I want to be able to post my own thread all about me and my LO and be an AW. I don't want to post in a 200 page long birth thread and get skipped over.
I want my moment in the spotlight!
Oh totally. That's why we're all here in the first place - we should all AW the shit out of it!

On N13 we had one big pinned sticky just for birth stories with pics if you wanted (no congrats you just get love tits) and when you went into labor you or your LB would/could/should start a thread and updates go there. So you had both your own AW thread and a big compilation of birth stories.

If everyone does this, some stories will just get lost because it will fall off the front page quickly. One huge birth story thread will be great!

shmee Thank you for the lovely reminder! The website has nothing personal on it what's so ever.
saltyh2O I just take a picture in a room that is full of natural light. My place has mostly white decor with large windows, so maybe that helps? Nothing too special! I see on HDBD that most people take a picture at work, but I can't really do that while I'm working.
I have an unpopular opinion (i know it's late oops), and it's okay if no one even responds to it, I just really need to get it out somewhere since I just received clothes like this... I HATE seeing baby clothes that say things like "Chicks dig me" or "I'm just a cupcake looking for a stud muffin" or whatever. Like, don't we want to wait for our kids to start dating and all that? It makes it seem like romance and all that is something that needs to happen like right away! Not to mention it assumes that all kids are going to be heterosexual. I just think it is a little over the top.
This is one of my biggest pet peeves about baby clothes for boys or girls. I think it's a little early to start sexualizing them and I do NOT think it's cute!
