When I went for my spin instructor training, the instructor specifically told the women, do not wear thongs ever, either go commando or wear granny panties because it will be so much better for your body when working out and things will hurt less.
Ever since then (12 years ago) I've been doing that.
I could see that with the thongs. Heck! I have issues with thongs right now and will only wear granny panties for the duration of this pregnancy. VPL and I don't care.
Actually Natori makes some great underwear that don't give you VPL and are super comfortable.
It must be a regional thing then. I'm glad that you haven't. It's weight loss supplements... Shakes, "Spark" which is basically an energy drink, and a bunch of other supplements. It's like a 24 day challenge.... Soooo, you lose the weight and after 24 days, what do you think happens? Yep, you gain it back. It's actually blowing up to be pretty popular. They had a college football "Advocare Bowl" this year and there have been commercial's about it. It's basically a pyramid scheme.
It's the same people that post about Crossfit 2342342 times a day that are pushing that crap.
I only buy Pea in the Pod stuff on clearance. Honestly, I actually wore a lot of the stuff from last time as regular wardrobe items after being pregnant so they weren't just limited use. I love their stuff but it is stupidly expensive. Clearance rack, yo.
this is how I feel like at a lot of upper end stores. I love White House Black Market but I head straight for the clearance rack.
and everything at A Pea in the Pod is expensive as all hell.
Truth.
I want it all. I can't stop looking! Why yes I do need a maternity sweater for $200 that will only fit for 3 more months. Don't mind if I do!
I love A Pea in the Pod, but can't justify their full-price stuff. I did find a PitP top on clearance in a brick-and -mortar Motherhood Maternity, and still felt like I was paying too much.
Weighing in on the unds vs. no unds debate...'cause I know y'all are dying to know whether my lady-bits are clad or not when moving about the world. In short. I'm a "depends on the situation" person as in:
1) I don't double up when wearing running shorts that come with unds included (that's dumb)
2) I have some thicker/darker legging capris that I often wear to the gym with no unds. They aren't see through in the least and like I said, they're thicker so I don't sweat swamp crotch (see what I did there)
3) I wear unds with jeans because ouch.
4) I consider unds negligible when working out at home because I'm a home so I do what I want.
5) When not pregnant, I often sleep sans unds. See #4 (and because brown chicken, brown cow)

yes, ouch, I don't know how people do this
You forgot skirts and dresses. Always cover up your junk with skirts and dresses.
That reminds me of that Friend's episode where Phoebe was dating that jock who wouldn't wear underwear.
I am seriously over Advocare. I have to see a million FB posts about it daily and it drives me insane. Supplements like that are not a new thing (in the weight training world anyway) and of course you're going to lose weight when you follow a healthy diet, but Advocare is not why you're losing the weight. And no, I don't want to buy it or become apart of your group to try to make money off of it.
Oh I feel you on this. I am not a fan of It Works! Products. Or anything like it. I hate wraps and things that portray the quick fixes. I would rather help someone become better in their health and wellness.
To piggyback on this, I'm so sick of my facebook newsfeed being full of posts where people are trying to sell this crap to their friends. When I added you as a friend, I didn't know I was signing up to be constantly spammed about buying the useless shit that you're selling. I'm sure this isn't unpopular, but is it happening to anyone else?

Yep! Every other post I see is about essential oils, Jamberry, or Advocare. It makes me never want to buy any of it.

Omg, especially those stupid jamberry things! "But they last 3 weeks!" Bullshit, I have to cut my nails at least once a week so in 3 weeks it will be gone or horribly grown out and stupid looking. Hmmm, maybe this will be an UO...
smilesp I got a free sample of the Jamberry so I tried them, either I'm an idiot and didn't put them on right or 3 weeks is an exaggeration. Mine were peeling off within a week
TMI: Pregnant or not pregnant (but more so pregnant), sometimes I'll get a leak that goes right through my underwear and my tights, and it can make a wet spot on my skirt if I'm sitting a certain way. So...I can't imagine going without underwear, especially at the gym. Grossgrossgross.
A warning if you wear leggings as pants and go commando: H and I were once on an airplane and some girl was wearing some VERY curve-hugging leggings as pants, obviously without underwear. She put her luggage up above our seats and her camel toe was practically in H's face (who looked away, FWIW, because he's not creepy). She seriously might as well have painted her lower body heather gray because you could see the exact shape of her hoo-ha and buttcheeks once she turned around. Not classy.

I have some jamberry's that I ordered. Once I got the hang of them, Mine easily stay on for 2 weeks and then I usually take them off because my nail beds show too much at that point.
But they do take some work. for me I like them because it keeps my nails looking "done" for a whole lot longer than polish, I don't sell them though

@gfj48 Okay your avatar looks JUST LIKE the little sister of my best friend from early grade school. I'm sure you're not her (I THINK??? Are you from CA?), but the resemblance is uncanny.

Nope! I'm a Michigander
Okay, I believe you, but in my head your name is Amy from now on.
I seriously hope no one is looking at anyone else's bits while they are working out, gross.
CTri17 - If it's out for the world to view, they will look. Guaranteed.
ETA: There was this girl that used to go to our gym, and she never wore underwear. She would do the bent over rows, incline sit ups (reverse so you can see her bent over), and deep squats. Needless to say, I and everyone else in the gym could see what her mama gave her. Especially since she often worse light gray or white skin-tight bottoms.
I am assuming she wore shorts? I wear Capris without or shorts with built in undies. I have never had a problem with the bits hanging out.
My capris are thicker and have extra lining. I am the only person that knows what's going on down there. Although when I am not pregnant it isn't an issue. Also, my gym doesn't have machines, so I don't have to worry about leave behinds.
Is the material relatively slick or would it stick to a skirt?
Hmmm, no it's more a stretchy cotton, you cannot see through them so I wear them as pants with a long mat tshirt and a long cardigan. You could wear a skirt with them but it might stick, I would wear thinner/ possibly see through leggings with a skirt IMO
UO: I don't want to be told what to post or how to post.
If I want to talk about TD I will. If I want to talk about the seriously delusional posters still on TD I will. If I want to call someone out here & talk about them I will (as least the poster brought up earlier was talked about using her name and it wasn't vague-probing which has been done before.
We just said earlier we all don't need to like everyone here.
Also someone's UO was that they don't like when people preface their HDBD pics with an excuse which again is what was said about the hardly any make up girl.
I don't think I made sense I'm in a half sleep medicine fog! But there it is.
I like where you are going with this but I feel like having some kind of order is always useful. Obviously HDBD works because we post the same thing there. I don't think the structure is needed as much here as it was on TB. I feel like people can most more threads here and we won't side-eye as quickly. On TB if there is no rhyme or reason the drive-bys turned the board into chaos.
I like a good mix. Individual posts and check ins. Some of the bigger things that are in randoms thread often get missed because I can't catch up on 10 pages deep when I check at 6 am.
