Evie makes too many noises in her sleep. Loud dinosaur like ones. Everytime I go to check on her, she is completely passed out making these noises. It almost sounds like she is talking or trying to.
So until a few days ago LO loved (and by that i mean would not wake up) the RNP and the Mamaroo for daytime sleeping, now even if she is solidly asleep she freaks as soon as you put her in one of them and prefers napping wrapped up a little lying on the bed or on her giraffe mat. I really hope she hasn't already outgrown the Mamaroo bc if so biggest waste ever... At least the RNP is not expensive. The Mamaroo with the newborn insert is like $300, it was a gift but seriously wasteful.... hope it lasts longer than 5.5 weeks!!

At least it should make transitioning to the crib easier.
So LO was up at 330 and decided he wanted to stay up for the past 4hrs. He was so tired he cried himself to sleep. Because of lack of sleep I ended up using H's toothbrush...didnt realize until I was half way done.

Oh... that sucks.
There are not enough hugs to make that better. Can you day drink?

Will she go in it awake? A loves the mamaroo when she's awake.

She has been in it awake once successfully. She never really liked it awake. We will keep trying to see...

There are few things more frustrating than trying to get an overtired infant to just f-ing GO TO SLEEP!! We try to put him in his crib for naps and he always wakes up. Any secrets I should know about?

Do you immediately get him or pick him back up if he wakes? I am in no way suggesting CIO at this age, but I've noticed that my LO just needs a minute to settle back down. So I just stay close by and let him work it out, especially if he's overtired. Usually, he's out after a minute.

do you swaddle? is he asleep when you put him down or just drowsy? When K wakes up i'll go in and give her a paci, reswaddle, and rock if necessary. if she wakes up hungry then im fucked and we start from scratch.

If he is just fussing I leave him but if he full on starts crying/screaming I go get him. I guess I'll just have to keep trying. He fought sleep all morning but this afternoon he's been passed out in my lap for at least 2 hrs.

Dd1 was like 6 months probably before I got her to nap in her crib at all lol. Hopefully this time round I do better.
The past two nights LO has just been snacking at night and then going back to sleep and then waking up again 1-2 hrs later instead of feeding for real and sleeping 3-4 hrs. Go back!!!
MH worked night shift last night. I think the kids knew and ganged up on me. Toddler was up at 10:30 and 5:15. Baby was up at 11:30, 12:30 and 2:00. So. Tired.

I was exhausted by the end of the day but definitely enjoyed a beer
Are you all still holding LO to nap? I have been trying to put her in swing and she will get 30-45 minutes, but then finishes the nap in my lap. I really am hoping she will be able to nap longer on her own. Maybe it just comes with time? Or do i need to force it more?

Me too, except my lap is the only acceptable place for napping. I have tried really hard to make him nap in the crib but I think it is just making crazy because it is totally not working and he misses a good nap because of it. I'm going to stop trying and then revisit in another week or so.

I try and do the EASY routine during the day. Eat, activity, sleep and time for yourself. When he starts to get fussy from activity, I swaddle and either put him in his swing or in his crib for a nap. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. There are days where he will only nap if I'm wearing him.
ETA, sometimes his naps are half an hour, sometimes they're two or three. I just go at his pace.

K slept well last night, but you'd never know that with the full on tantrums she's been having all morning. Next time she has a growth spurt im taking a vacation because this shit is for the birds.

Some of you are going to hate me for this... but I always put K down drowsy and she puts herself to sleep most of the time. ::knocks on wood, hides in a corner::
