We went to a spring practice game at H's alma mater. The wind was freezing cold but I got a funnel cake so I was happy.
When we got home I had a flash back to 1st tri with crippling gas pains though. Hopefully they're not making a comeback since I was practically living on gas chews back then.
I have a question for our medical friends out there...MIL is coming back this week from taking care of GFIL who has developed MRSA. Do I need to be concerned about contact with her or my kids having contact with her?

DS ended up in bed with me last night and part of me wishes that DH would have he to work later this morning because then I think DS would have slept longer. Although DS and I got a nice 2 hour nap in today!
I can't believe I only have 8 weeks left until baby arrives!! A co-worker who is due April 21st had her last day of work on Friday. She didn't feel right and was at 90% baby was at a station +2 but she was only at 1.5cm. Her second came in 40 minutes and she really didn't want to go into labor at work. So now my co-workers and I are waiting for the news!!

I'm not a medical professional, but at my office we do ask people exposed to MRSA to wait 10-14 days (incubation period) before coming in to the office to make sure they don't have symptoms.

Where is the MRSA? If it is just in the nose then I would t be worried. If he has been treated I would still let her be around.
We had such a great day in Oklahoma meeting my new niece! DS only slept 20 minutes the entire day and was an absolute angel the whole day-I was so proud and relieved. He's now passed out on our 3 hour drive home. I'm so uncomfortable being in the car 6 hours today, but I'm so glad we made the trip!
I'm also so full and feel so gross after eating out 3 meals today (donuts, pizza, then a burger and fries...yum but yikes!)
I've been pretty absent. Having really up and down days about my mom.
Today DD had a birthday party for a friend. 2 year olds and bowling balls went better than I expected. No real plans tomorrow - my back has been causing me grief but hoping to do some cleaning and grocery and some meal prep...
DS just gave me a picture he drew at school of our family and he drew his baby brother in it. . He was very proud of himself and said he can't wait for him to get here. My heart melted.
We helped DHs sister move today from 10am-8pm. Long day and we'll be back at it tomorrow. She's moving closer(was 1 hour away from us now a little less than 15 minutes) & I'm really happy because she is one of my best friends and I love spending time with my nephews, we see each other about every other weekend but driving at least 2hrs round trip isn't fun for anyone. Now it's a quick trip and super close to my office.
DS peed on the potty this morning!! I have no illusions that it was anything other than a coincidence and that it will be a while before it happens again, but it's progress! The only problem is that his aim was terrible and he got pee everywhere (he was sitting). Other than continuing to show him to point his penis down, any other tips from STMs to control the pee going everywhere?

I used to hold the penis down until he got the hang of it, or you can buy a little seat to go on the big seat that has a pee guard in front. Good luck!

Jealous! I wish some of my siblings or sibling in laws lived closer, they are all out of state.
soultrane, My protein levels in office have remained completely stable these last few weeks. I was expecting them to start spiking up weekly. Hope it is nothing for you.
Why is it that at night DH can never fall asleep and is always asking me to scratch his head or back to relax him, but in the morning when the girls are awake and I'm getting them ready he has no trouble climbing back into bed and falling asleep?
MIL has been in town all weekend and im ready to have my house back. I think this will be the last time we have visitors stay with us, instead of a hotel. She's currently sleeping on an air mattress in the baby's room. Once dd2 is born, I think I'm just going to lay down the law about overnight visitors.
DD oscillates between being an absolute joy and so fun/funny/smart/sweet and being an irrational 3 year old terror. Thankfully, this weekend she's been pretty awesome... But I feel like DH and I just walk around waiting for the inevitable meltdown. Although I know they're age appropriate - the fits are epic and so exhausting.
Also, DH and I are pretty specific and thoughtful with the language we use with DD (We are both attachment parenting inclined). The way mil speaks to DD makes my skin crawl. She's kind, but says manipulative things like "you're not acting like a big sister!" Or "big sisters HAVE to x,y,z". I can't stand it and talked to DH about it last night. He was in total agreement and noticed the same thing. We've decided just to redirect the conversation today, and not address it bc she's leaving today.
Lots of hugs, cattuccino. This can't be easy for you.
My in laws were here for the weekend, but they had an early flight this morning. MIL ended up coming down with a stomach bug yesterday afternoon, but it seems like it passed quickly since she was ok to fly today. And I know I'm being an ass... But I'm glad she was staying in a hotel instead of with us because I'm REALLY hoping I didn't pick it up from her. Pregnant + stomach bug is not something I'm excited about.
I feel like the bump is visibly growing these days. I swear I've gained inches this weekend. My pregnancy app tells me babies gain half a pound a week at this point and I believe it. My muscles and ligaments are not happy.
Someone tell me that at 31 weeks pregnant I do not need to buy any more maternity clothes. Especially because I already have plenty.
Although it is getting warmer and new things will make me feel pretty and less gigantic, right?
PSA apparently old navy is having 30% off and free shipping. And motherhood has buy 4 get 1 free plus a coupon for 30 off 75
I've bought a bunch of new clothes lately, I'm tired of feeling huge and like nothing fits! My sisters are going to have lots of good hand me downs once they get pregnant! You should check out some consignments stores, I actually found a few good pieces the other day for much cheaper.
